Just Before Dawn is described as "warm taupe frost." It's a medium-dark, gray-leaning taupe with subtle warm undertones and a soft, satin finish. Applied dry, it had fairly good color payoff but appeared browner and lighter. Applied damp, it was grayer and fully pigmented. It lasted for almost eight hours without fading or creasing.
