Chanel Pink Lagoon Stylo Eyeshadow Review, Photos, Swatches
Chanel Pink Lagoon Stylo Eyeshadow
Chanel Pink Lagoon Stylo Eyeshadow ($34.00 for 0.05 oz.) is warm, medium pink with a frosted finish. It almost reads coral-pink against my warmer complexion. MAC Rose is less shimmery, darker. Urban Decay Scratch is less pink. Inglot #359 is matte, lighter. See comparison swatches.
With Chanel’s new cream eyeshadow pencils, I’ve had mixed results, but luckily, Pink Lagoon was a hit for me. It has a cool feel when the product touches the skin, and the texture is very slick and feels almost wet. It glided across the skin easily without pulling or tugging on the lid, and it deposited even, semi-sheer color (it’s buildable to about semi-opaque). When I tested it, Pink Lagoon lasted just over eight hours well on me without creasing or fading, and there was minor fall out (but not a lot, as compared to other shades I’ve tried).

This looks very pretty, how does it compare to Chanel Abstraction?
Somewhat similar, but Abstraction is warmer and more sparkly.
Good to hear that this one performed well!
wow, its so pretty, and as of late i have been so into pink colors like this.
Oooooh that’s pretty
great colour! need to buy one of these pencils
I absolutely love this shade! I may have to pick it up next time I’m at the Chanel counter.
Not sure if this would be very flattering as an eyeshadow on me, I find pinks tend to make me look like I’ve been crying, but it is a pretty color in general
This is very pretty I remember swatching it and now I regret not having bought it before since I think it´s sold out, yesterday when I went to the counter they only had Jade shore and the black one…
It’s not the same as the Tom F. summer cream e/s but the color is similar enough and fool proof! Lovely to have one.
Christine, do you think you can kindly offer us some expiry related details in future reviews for extremely “short living” products? Some of us, including me may not finish that much product that soon if the brand has frequent huge launch. I remember you often have warnings about the cost per gram (recently, MAC e/s pencil in the summer collection, like jet polished)? Expiry details does helps with our judgement in a similar way a lot.
Hi Gladys,
Most products provide the recommended date on the product, and it’s really up to each individual person on how they feel about expiration dates and how they use/maintain their product – so it can really vary from person to person. Most cream products have shorter recommended lifespans (same with liquids, mascaras, etc.), so those would be the ones to look out for most!
I really want to try some of these. Christine- what do you think is the best color for fair skin/auburn hair/brown eyes? Anyone have suggestions? At $34.00, I think I’m probably only going to be able to get one. They all look so pretty! 🙂
I think these Chanel Stylo Eyeshadows are really pretty. I own Moon River and it performs incredibly well. Everything creases on my eyelids, but not this shade. I’ve had no fallout or transfer issues whatsoever. I didn’t get Pink Lagoon because I already own Chanel Illusion d’Ombre in Abstraction, and they both look very much alike -however, Illusion d’Ombres do crease on me, which sucks because I love that formula! 🙁
It’s been a while since I looked at a swatch and said, “Oooh!” So pretty!
