For me, summer and juicy, sweet watermelon go hand-in-hand.  This post is inspired by that connection and my personal love for watermelon!  These are five lovely shades of pink and red-coral!

I like these 5-item color spotlights, but I’m always disappointed when one of them turns out to be almost entirely super-high-end stuff, so I’ll add one of my own that’s nice and drugstore cheap: the new Almay liquid lip balm in Apricot Pucker is the most watermelon-y pink shade I can think of. It’s not a shade I wear often, so I can’t think of anything from the mid-range lines.

Unless it’s for a specific price point, I pick based on my favorites – regardless of price point – so I’m giving you my very best of list 🙂 I’m sorry you weren’t happy with my personal favorites. Thanks for adding your suggestion!

I love Chanel’s polish in Lilis, I think it fits the pinky-coral better. I must have that givenchy lipstick to complete my Mad Men inspired pinky-coral look. They’re always giving Christina Hendricks and January Jones pinky-coral lips and nails. Love. Lilis is close but not quite as pink as January Jones’ nails in the show.

It’s a weird one, when I first tried it I put it on at night in really yellow light and I thought it was orange. I put an orange polish on next to it and saw a slight difference. The next day in the sun it looked totally pinky-coral. It was strange. I am cool toned though so the pink probably shows more for me.

I finally bought Revlon’s ‘Kiss Me Coral’ and I’m totally in love. It’s the best coral lipgloss I’ve found for my medium complexion. I love how the slight shimmer catches in the light.
