One color I definitely associate with autumn is plum, so building on some of the recent lists, I thought I’d do one featuring some pretty plums today!

  1. theBalm Cabana Boy — a soft, muted plum with a luminous golden sheen for cheeks
  2. Zoya Mason — a warm, shimmery plum with a metallic finish for nails
  3. MAC Craving — a beautiful pinky-plum with a satiny finish for lips
  4. Chanel Merveille — a semi-opaque neutral plum with lots of shimmer for lips

I so agree about both Cabana Boy and Craving (I adore Craving) but I have to add Plumful to the list and, for cheeks, MAC Conjure Up (which was LE at least 5 years ago) and for nails, Zoya Roxy and OPI Mrs. O’Leary’s BBQ (not sure if that one is still around) but I love the look of Mason and will probably pick that up based on seeing it here, Christine!

I love it all! Every time I wear Naked Plum I can’t help but stop and think how gorgeous it is! Chanel Merveille has been on my wishlist since it was first reviewed!

Nars Larger Than Life Lipgloss in Como
Revlon Lipbutter in Sugar Plum
Nars Oasis blush—-but I seem to have a really hard time making this work. It’s extremely pigmented and pulls red on me so I have to be super careful–and then I’m not in love with it.

Need to expand my plum options. I’m NW20 if anyone has suggestions for a plum blush that won’t pull red.

I find that plums like craving pull too purple-ish on me, whereas Mac Brick O La (if you’d call that a plum) looks good. Would something like Cabana Boy work on me? Is there a more warm toned, but still plummy blush anyone would recommend?

Thanks for the suggestion – I looked into Dolce Vita, but I ended up getting side tracked by Taos…
So Dolce Vita remains on my wishlist. 🙂
