5 Just Peachy Eyeshadows

5 Just Peachy Eyeshadows

Peach! What an interesting color–sometimes peach can read almost pink-peach, but I think it’s closer to yellow/orange with a general lightness that keeps it from being categorized as a yellow or orange. Here are my top five picks for peachy eyeshadows…

  1. theBalm Luscious Lani — soft peach beige with a frosted sheen
  2. Inglot #330 — matte pastel peach-orange
  3. Chanel Emerveille — shimmery peach beige
  4. MAC Orb — neutral peach beige
  5. Inglot #328 — matte yellowed peach

What’s your favorite peach eyeshadow?

Orb was one of the first MAC shadows I ever purchased. I’d have to add Naked Lunch and Too Faced Silk Teddy (both with frost/sheen) as my favourites.

I find peach to be the most boring eyeshadow color, but I have to admit, I own *alot*, both from palettes, as well as what I’ve bought as singles. Why? Because although boring, it is very utilitarian. MAC Orb works well for me as a transitional shade, while NARS Cyprus or All About Eve work well on the lid, or even as a wash or base color. I rarely wear peach by itself, but when I want a quick eye, I’ll just sweep on All About Eve, a highlight & crease, and mascara (eyeliner, too, if I have time).

@xamyx You took the words right out of my mouth..BORING.. and it’s just meh on me anyway.  I do own Orb somewhere in the stash and I see your point about it being a good transitional shade.

@wwendalynne The funny thing is, I probably have 50+ eyeshadows that fall somewhere in the peach “family”. I actually wore darker peaches years ago, but I was tanner & my hair was in the auburn range, so it was actually flattering. I was also *alot* younger then, too, LOL. I do find I use paler, more shimmery peaches quite often, especially to soften a stark eye when I dont have time to do my makeup over.

I really like Orb a lot. It’s a great brow or brightening lid shade. I don’t wear peach often, but that is one that is an exception. There’s also sort of a muted, peachy/orange from MUFE that I like using, but I don’t know what the # of that one.

Urban Decay’s Sin is probably my most used eyeshadow shade over all, but I suspect a lot of people consider it a tad too pink to be classified as peach.

I love Mac Orb, I use it pretty much in every make up I do. I use it to even out my lid color and then overlay with some other color if I want, such ad UD Sin (perfect shiny lid color!). I also use it to blend darker colors if they get tricky. And if I’m not doing any other eye make-up, I always, ALWAYS do atleast primer + Orb for natural but polished look.
