5 Bright Green Eyeshadows to Try
I love green eyeshadow! Whether it’s a soft, pastel green or a deep, emerald green or a murky, earthy, olive green. Here are some of my favorites for brighter pops of green for spring.
- Make Up For Ever #91 — a bright, medium green with yellow undertones
- Illamasqua Pivot — a pop of chartreuse with a matte finish
- Sugarpill Tipsy — a shimmery, frosted green
- MAC Lucky Green — a bright, shimmering yellow-toned green
- Illamasqua Fledgling –a vibrant, grass green with a matte finish
Lovely choices! My favourite bright green is Inglot DS 477.
Nice! I don’t have many of the DS shades!
I’m not a big fan of green eyeshadow. The only one I have and like is MAC’s Sumptuous Olive.
Which is a classic!
The only bright greens I own are the ones in a couple of Kat von D palettes, and L’Oréal Golden Emerald (although I may have a few stray singles floating around…). It’s a color I’m always attracted to, but for some reason, I never actually reach for them much. When I saw the KvD Gypsy palette, I grabbed it immediately, but I only use it 1-2X a year…
I also just ordered NARS Wicked on eBay yesterday, and I’m very excited to try it!
Maybe make it a point to try it in a look sometime? Just for fun 🙂
I think it’s just a matter of reorganizing my stash. Whenever I get something new, those seem to get the most use, unless I’m going for something specific. I plan to do some purging this week, and while I’m at it, I should reorganize!
Tipsy and Lucky green I love! 2 other shades of green I like would be Damaged from Vice 2 Palette and MAC Humid!
Damaged is such a gorg shade!
Jessica Lange for Marc Jacobs Beauty! You have to post that. It’s so cool! I’m a fan, haha.
Lucky Green is awesome! <3
A long-time favorite of mine!
I’m currently loving Burberry’s Sage Green quad for spring. The brightest green looks like a color you’d love, Christine!
Is it actually pigmented? The quads have been hit or miss for me from Burberry.
It’s plenty pigmented for me, and a true emerald green. However, I’m so pale that I’m nearly translucent so it may not work for everyone. It just takes two passes with a brush to build a bold green eye for me.
Will have to consider it for sure!
Thanks for reminding me that I really need to look into Illamasqua’s matte shadows! I haven’t done so yet and those colours look amazing! Also, while it’s still cold up here and there’s still snow on the ground, it’s high time I cracked out some spring colours!
No problem, Kate 😉
I’m warming up to green shades. It’s actually one of the color I use the less, because my eyes are olive green and I prefer more contrasting shade. I never had the chance to try illamasqua eyeshadows, I have to say Pivot is a very nice shade I might place an order soon.
Maybe some of the brighter greens could work, since it won’t match your eye color?
Love this! I love yellow greens so much, even though they look amazingly terrible on me if they’re more than a tiny accent, hehe. If I were rich, I would just buy them to stare at 😀
I seem to remember you doing a list of teals, and a list of emerald greens – but have you ever done a list of pastel/mint/baby greens? I’d love to see that, since good pastel greens (that aren’t nail polish) seem to be tricky to find! Nice for spring though 🙂
I might have done an aqua one, though it’s entirely possible I haven’t actually due to the fact that there aren’t that many that are permanent! 🙁
Love Lucky Green! Swimming from MAC is another great one!
Swimming is a fun shade!
*claps hands in excitement* It’s greeeeeeen! I love green! Green is my favorite color! Green is awesome! Did I mention that green is my favorite color?
😉
MAC’s Lucky Green is one of my favorite yellowish greens by the way.
Lucky Green has been a favorite of mine since they launched it as a LE shade!!
Anyone else only able to think about Vamp Willow in Buffy when you see green shadow like this?
Not that it’s a bad thing! She wears it well, and shows that green is actually a totally wearable shade!
Haha! I didn’t, but it’s a good visual!
I’ve been drooling over illamasqua shadows for a long time! Particularly pivot, fledgling, and burst. But as I own the entire sugarpill collection (…heh.) would they just be repeats for me? The mattes are my favorite and midori doesn’t really do it for me. What do you think?
You could probably skip Pivot… but I think Fledgling and Burst are less similar to things Sugarpill has? At least not in matte!
I love Fledgling. You wanted to see a pic of the Cookie Monster cupcakes: http://twitpic.com/dxqlcp
OMG! I love them!!!!
Those cupcakes are awesome!
Thank you! 😀
I love all these seasonal color swatches you post Christine! It’s so cool to see a color that just pops and put it on your wishlist or to see one you already have and pull it for the week. I am loving Urban Decay’s Mildew right now.
Sugarpill Tipsy!!!<33333
Urban Decay's Graffiti was probably my first green eyeshadow. I wish I was brave enough to wear it at the time. Lol.
My most used green shadows are all from Stila's In the Garden palette: Sage, Moss and Juniper. They are more neutral but very pretty.
These looks super hot…:-)
I love green eye shadow. I can never resist those pretty shades od green! I have everything, from really light mint greens to dark, almost black greens.
Thanks for reminding me about Lucky green!!! Looooove this one! I will bring it out and use it this week. 🙂
love love love me some green 🙂
Christine you musttttt check out Bourjois Regard Effect duo chrome # 61 vert dore liner 😀
MAC Lucky green is another fav of mine 😀 want to lay my hands on # 91 from MUFE 😀 its gorgeousssss
and how come I forgot MAC GOLDEN OLIVE pigment …. my mouth started watering … 🙂
Love greens also. Whether you are cool , warm or inbetween there is a green that’s perfect for your skin tone.
These picks of green eyeshadow are amazing. Pivot & Fledging are rather eye catching 😉
