You can also try it with navy, or a deep blue-based purple. Since orange & blue are opposite on the color wheel, they sort of “neutralize” each other. You can also use a blue or purple in the same vibrancy of the orange, especially if you have fairer skin, but thendeeper shades will”soften” the orange. Or, start with tawnier browns or bricks, or even darker peachy shades, and work up to orange.

When I went to buy the Kat von D Ladybird palette, I mentioned to the SA that I loved every shade in it, except Cleopatra. She suggested I try it with either the mavy or purple shades in the palette, and I actually really liked the results.

MAC Texture is the closest I have gotten to orange! lol! Although I had a MUA use MAC rule lightly all over my eyes before adding any other color and it made everything so much brighter and richer.. I think because orange counteracts all blue-ness so it is good at evening out things if you have blue veins on the eyes like I do! 🙂

I love orange eyeshadow. And I own none of the ones you listed! I will be checking them out…thanks for listing these.
I’m not sure about orange cream eyeshadow though. It seems to need a light hand which is easier than powder. Any thoughts on that?

I HIGH recommend “California Sun” by Madison Street Beauty. This pigment is a cross between orange and bronze. Madison Street Beauty is an all natural Etsy shop that sells awesome eye shadow pigments, setting powders, bronzers, etc. Go check them out!

Yay for orange eyeshadow. My personal favorite is maybelline color tattoo in fierce and tangy. It’s so wearable and cheap! Nars mediteranee duo is another great one.

I don’t think I have any orange eyeshadows, and now I feel I need at least three 😀
I love Persia, Flame Point and Red Brick. Next time I go by Sephora and the MAC counter in one of the department stores I will take a good look at these.
