We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I tried entering the code in uppercase and lowercase but there’s an error message. Is the code not applicable on their Canada site?

Aw shucks, doesn’t look like the code works on Canadian purchases. I just tried. Upper and lower case, it said it’s not recognized. 🙁

I bought shu uemura stuff since the late 1980’s. My friend got me a lipstick in NYC and I bought the lipsticks and blush in L.A. Century plaza mall then. The packaging was unique.. Crayon type lipsticks….then later bought some brushes and brush sets…..shu then started selling at neiman and shops like in S.F. Where am I going with this? Shu is in my heart just like the old YSL.
Now I just bought a shu foundation brush from Harrods this weekend. Why? Shu customer service sucks. Asked them about. The brush. Sent me an automated response. Never reply back too me.
Had to pay twice more for something that I bought overseas……shu is no longer the shu I knew and adore. Don’t even have the Crayon colors that made it such a special brand since the original designer dead. So so sad.

Yes….the sadness continues….after getting my order, Harrods emails me n tells me that the foundation brush is unavailable……yes…..my friend n I split the shipping cost becuz it is so high n she bought the dior Xmas compact….I bought other stuff too…but only because I wanted this brush so much…..do I now dare buy from evil bay who are selling from Taiwan….I am not that adventurous….I like buying from reliable dept stores….

Yes. Totally true. He was a pioneer + state of the art. Blushes, e/s, curler, l/s were the best on the market. The company has not had good business direction or art direction since he passed + IMHO has betrayed his legacy. The concepts have been puerile. The products do not have the same quality. Few locations to see + test in person, + who wants to buy off a website, when the m/u products have faired poorly? At least the skincare has kept pace, I guess. I remember some pix of him right before he passed. He looked SO unwell. I think I want to remember the company from his era + forget the current stuff, though I will cruise the sale, just to see. There are a few names that really are in the Pantheon. Shu is one of them.
