Chanel Libertine Rouge Allure Lipstick
The Summer Season: Chanel Libertine Lipstick
Chanel Libertine Rouge Allure Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a softened shade of coral-pink with a white shimmer and subtle sheen. This is a very wearable shade of coral, because it gives semi-opaque color coverage, so it’s never overwhelming, bright, or bold. It’s soft and pretty and doesn’t lean too orange, so it’s one of the better shades for those with stronger cool undertones.
Is this the right coral for you? Would you wear it?
The Summer Season is a series of posts featuring bright, vibrant shades of coral, orange, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for a summer of fun — that runs through July 2010.

I really love this shade and I've tried looking for it here but the Chanel in Copenhagen has never even heard of it - and that's the Largest Chanel store in Scandinavia. Do you know if this was a part of a look or something?
Well the first counter I tried only went by numbers but in the actual Chanel store they had both numbers and names.
Yeah, it's weird. I just checked some of my quads and they're named differently from what they're called on the US website too. Why confuse us??
I love the way you've applied it christine! My biggest challenge is often finding the right lipliner to go with the look. What did you use with this shade so that the lipstick doesn't bleed and the lips look fuller?
I love this shade. I think it's so pretty but I don't think I'm willing to shell out $30 for a lipstick just yet. Are there dupes to consider? If not, looks like this is going down on this to buy, but I'd like to consider other options first. A little help please?
Hello christine. How do you compare Libertine with Guerlain Gems? Just saw the guerlain one at a sephora sale, at about 20 euro; but now I'm attracted to Libertine, they strike me as similar even if Gems is more bronzy. What do you think? I'm slightly paler than you with similar dark hair and brows :)
What a gorgeous coral! It looks great on you, and makes your lips look exra smooth! I guess that's why it's $30, which is just out of my range...
I liked the swatch and I liked the pic of your lips wearing this colour, but when I saw the whole picture I did not like the colour at all. (not your fault. You have such a pretty face!) I don't know, Christine. I think this colour might be more suited to a very light skinned person.
