The Spring Season: Urban Decay Peroxide Lipstick

Urban Decay Peroxide Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.13 oz.) is an icy champagne shimmered yellow pink. When I swatched it on my arm, it had a glossy look to it, but on my lips, it looked less glossy and more shimmery/frosty. Peroxide is a semi-opaque shade that lightens up my natural lip color while giving it more of a soft rose look and feel. Surprisingly, with a name like Peroxide, it’s quite wearable. It’s lightened but not so light that it’s hard to pull off. Urban Decay lipsticks have a creme brulee-ish scent (kind of a sweetened, kind of burnt–but not in a bad way–smell), and I didn’t taste anything off with this shade.

Is this the right pink lipstick for you? Would you wear it?

The Spring Season is a series of posts featuring my favorite soft beige, coral, and pink lipsticks and lipglosses — all perfect for the first blossom of spring — that runs through March 2010.

I’m loving the UD lipsticks! I just wish they’d change that ridiculous packaging!

I couldn’t agree more. The mini sword handle broke off of my tube of Peroxide, so I have had to glue random things (like part of a broken pencil, and most recently, a sponge tip eyeshadow applicator) on to the cap to be able to pull it out of the lipstick sheath. I bought this color over a year ago and I still love it!

It doesn’t look like much in the tube, but it looks fantastic on you!

  4. Oh, hello! This is beautiful. Must check it out!

  5. Too light for my liking but I love the taste/smell of Urban Decay lip priducts – especially the Pocket Rockets.

  6. This is really pretty! THere was one other urban decay shade you highlighted for this series that caught me eye. I’ve just never been able to tolerate hte urban decay scent, and hate the dagger packaging on teh case, so I’ve never actually swatched or owned any. The color is lovely though!

Warm pinks, peachy- or coral-pinks, etc., are the colors I’ve ALWAYS loved most in blushes and lip colors. But that lovely, slightly warm glow means that “Peroxide” is too yellow/warm for me & my very white (in winter, more like pale-blue!) skin, and my blue-pink cheeks & lips.

I wish! But nope, not for me.
