Pink Freeze is another I’ve hit pan on. I have Pink Venus and Swish too. Sushi Flower I had but gave away because mine was always so hard to get the color to show up.
Jest is a lovely light color that I’m close to hitting bottom on. I looooove Vapour. It’s so flattering and yet barely there. I just got vex and I like it :)

WOW! I can’t believe it, haha. I’ve hit pan on so few!

I think I’ve hit pan on so many because I started wearing MAC 11 years ago, so that’s given me a lot of time to go through colors :P

Your swatch posts got me wanting 2 eyeshadows right now, Passionate and Hepcat. But I can only afford 1 right now because of all of the Colour Craft/Graphic Gardens/Love That Look stuff that I’m buying. So in your opinion, which eyeshadow do you think I should get first?

Do you have Plum Dressing by any chance? That’s reallyyy similar. I prefer Plum Dressing over Hepcat, actually! (Nicer finish!)

I’d probably vote Passionate though :)

Nope, I don’t have anything that is similar to either one. I like the color of Hepcat more than Plum Dressing though, it seems slightly different. I think maybe I’ll get Passionate this time then next month I’ll get Hepcat…maybe…GAH! It’s always so hard for me to decide, lol. Thanks for your opinion. =)

LOL! Passionate is more of a “summer” color, at least, right? Maybe that’s a reason?

Ah, that is true! Hepcat seems like more of a fall color. So Passionate it is! =D

Thanks so much for all these swatches christine. You don’t know how much this helps me. I’m new to mac shadows and it’s great to not have to search all over the internet for swatches.

aH!!! I so want Jest now!!!! My retrospeck does NOT have payoff like that…a lot of fallout. I’m kinda disappointed with it and Gleam. Sushi flower and passionate seems to look warmer on your skin…and i had mentioned in the yellow post Nylon and Goldmine look more yellow on me, but the greens are true. why would this be? Possibly because my skin is more olive, i’m not as warm toned as you, brown/auburn hair, green brown eyes. somewhere in the cool/olive/neutral zone depending on the season.

      Hey Brenda,

Retrospeck has a lot of fall out when I use a brush. When I use a sponge-tip applicator, there’s definitely a lot less fall out, because it gets packed into the skin more!

I’m naturally warmer toned, so that might be why both of those look warmer on me :) Everything is going to be a little different because of the variation in our skin color.

If i have nanogold, ricepaper, nylon, would I need phloof? The color looks awesome.

    • Christine

      Sunday, July 19, 2009

Not really. It’s nice, but it’s not totally necessary if you already have Nangold, IMO. Phloof! can also run very frosty as a highlighter (at least in my experience).
