Dior Pink Veil (654) Ultra Gloss
Dior Spring 2011: Pink Veil
Dior Pink Veil (654) Ultra Gloss ($26.50 for 0.21 oz.) is a coral-tinged pink with soft gold and pale pink shimmer. It is mostly opaque, though some of the natural lip color peeks through. New for Spring (and it doesn’t show up as limited edition on Sephora), it’s definitely an apt hue for the season–soft but still boasts plenty of color.
The strength of Ultra Gloss lies in its formula–I really think it’s the feel and look of the product that makes this gloss worth checking out. It is a moisturizing lipgloss with a very smooth, slick feel–it’s very comfortable to wear–with a shimmering sparkle that’s noticeable without being overwhelming. It’s completely non-sticky and has no scent or taste. All these characteristics leads me to think that a lot of lipgloss fans will enjoy them. I did find that these only lasted just under two hours on me, and then all that remained was the shimmer/micro glitter, and I’d say this was the major downside of this gloss.

FINAL THOUGHTS: This is a shade that definitely leans coral but doesn’t pull orange, so it should work for both cooler and warmer skin tones. It’s a nice color for both spring and summer, as there is enough color for a pop when brighter corals dominate during the hotter months. Even though these don’t last long, they feel amazing on lips, and I think gloss aficionados will love these.

Product & Review FAQ
Where can I purchase this lipgloss? How much is it?
Sephora, $40.
Is it limited edition?
According to Sephora, no.
Any dupes?
Benefit Spiked Punch is creamier but similar in color.
I tried this on at Sephora today, and I FELL IN LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am looking forward to buying this soon :)))))
do you think this lipgloss would work for darker skintones? i have very yellow warm toned undertones and i love corals!!
Oh I'm disappointed. From the color of the tube, I was just expecting ... something completely different ! I'm intrigued by that grey one next to it though :)
very nice but similar to the only one ive got. that silver one though! will you be swatching that one?
Beautiful! Can you think of any lipsticks that are a similar colour? Any brand, I just much prefer the feel of lipstick on my lips. Thanks!
Lovely color, looks great on you! but I personally don't like Dior Ultra Glosses, they are very pricey in my country and the staying power on me is around 15 minutes, no eating or drinking... For a few bucks, maybe; for THAT much I would expect more...
Thank you! I've recently become obsessed with coral lipgloss (one of my fave colors, even one of my wedding colors) but unfortunately I have cool undertones which means no fun bright corals for me lol Lil bit more than I'd like to spend but hopefully it'll work.
Time and again I admire your skills. You must have a very steady hand. The lines of your lipstick and lipgloss applications are so sharp. Or dou you clean it up before you take a picture? From these pictures it would not seem that you do. :-)
