Chanel Hyde Park Rouge Allure Lipstick
Chanel Hyde Park Rouge Allure Lipstick
Chanel Hyde Park Rouge Allure Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “vibrant coral-pink” that is named for landmark Royal Park in London. It’s a limited edition shade from the Knightsbridge collection, which is an exclusive to chanel.com.
It’s a pink-coral with a creamy finish, so it has a subtle natural sheen. The color coverage is mostly opaque, and it applies evenly without settling into lip lines. Chanel Insolente is darker and pinker. OCC Trollop is more coral, brighter. Guerlain Giulette is more coral with a golden sheen. Dolce & Gabbana Splendid is slightly pinker.
Chanel’s Rouge Allure formula is my favorite Chanel lipstick formula; it’s long-wearing (this shade wore for five hours), comfortable to wear, and moisturizing. The creamy consistency makes it a dream to apply, as it glides over the lips and deposits lots of color with very little product or effort.
Where to Buy: Chanel, $32.00
The Glossover
It feels more like a summer kind of color, even though it made its debut in December! If you love the idea of coral but often find they are too orange or warm-toned for you, this pink-coral may be right up your alley.

Product & Review FAQ

Chanel, $32.00.
Is it limited edition?
Yes.
Any dupes?

Christine, are there any MAC lipstick dupes you can think of that come close? I adore the color, but not the price tag in Canada!
Christine, can you think of any MAC dupes for this lipstick?? Absolutely love this color, but just can't afford the Chanel price tag at the moment.
Ooh I really like it, it really suits you as well! I wonder how it'll come out on me... I have slightly darker Asian skin, corals tend not to suit me!
it's funny... I didn't think I was going to like it seeing it in the tube, but it looks really pretty on
Corally pink??? UH OH this one is calling my name!! Not quite sure about the slight sheerness though... I prefer brights that are fully opaque :)
Victoria, the lipstick you have on in your user pic is GORGEOUS!!! Would you please let me know which one it is?
This comes out more coral on my darker lips, but it's gorgeous no matter what. Chanel is hitting it out of the park with the lipsticks lately.
I want this. I have a weakness for Pink-Corals like this... But I haven't the money right now. I do own Chanel Rogue Allure in Genial... How does Genial compare to this?
I'm not much of a lipstick person, but Chanel is really making a good case to convince me otherwise this spring. I've been more tempted by their lipsticks in the past month than I've been tempted by most lipsticks for years. Kudos to them, but not so much to my wallet.
I've been wearing this with a heavy cat eye to make it a bit more appropriate for winter. Love this color, the formula, and the awesome click-up packaging!
This may be a dumb question, but I'm curious about what kinds of things you do while testing. The reason I ask is because I *never* get anywhere close to the wear time that you get out of products, and lip products seem to have the greatest discrepancy between your tested wear time and mine. I teach, and the only lip product that lasts through a 75 minute class is Mac lipglass--and that is just barely. It's frustrating, and I do not have time for liner-lipstick-powder-gloss in between classes (and that look just isn't for me, anyway).
If you're talking the whole time, then you probably will wear off your lip product more than I do! I typically wear and go about my day - but my day doesn't consist of talking for a whole class. I sip coffee/tea, talk as necessary, etc.
