Zoya Evvie Nail Lacquer Review, Photos, Swatches
Zoya Evvie Nail Lacquer
A Smoky Green for Fall
Zoya Evvie Nail Lacquer ($8.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as “dark smoky grey cream with strnog teal green undertones.” It’s a dark, smoky green with a hint of blue/teal. Essie School of Hard Rocks is lighter, slightly bluer. Rescue Beauty Lounge Diddy Mow is lighter and greener. MAC Fatigues is much greener.
I think smoky colors like Evvie tend to have a lot of depth.  It’s dark, luxurious, but it’s not vampy; it’s also not bright, either.  Evvie was opaque in two coats, and the consistency wasn’t too thick or too thin.  It flowed evenly across the nail without pooling, streaking, or bubbling during application.  I typically get a week of wear out of Zoya’s formula with no chipping and minor tip wear.

I like it. Is it green? Is it grey? I love how it’s neither and both at the same time 🙂
This is like a darker version of Sinful Colors Leap Flog.
I think Essie Power Clutch may be a dupe. I am at work and cannot compare.
Love the color! It is so pretty and unique 🙂
Love the color, but I probably won’t get it. Zoya polishes chip on me (except Caitlin).
I purchased the whole set of these smoky fall colours.. either to wear on their own or act as a base. I love this green gray.
Ooooh!! Love this one so much.
Interesting shade; reminds me of a polish version of MAC Plumage. This is definitely a nice alternative to black, and would be a great base for layering.
Wow! I’ve been on a nail polish no buy since June but I may have to break it for this color.
That shade looks SUPER similar to “Power Clutch” By Essie!!!!
Exactly what I was thinking Anna!
Gorgeous photos! I got Zoya Evvie because I loved the colour on everything else when I saw it in swatches, but actually wearing it (and testing the color spoons Zoya sent me), it looked too light on me and I should’ve gotten Noot instead.
Thanks for beautiful pictures though. 🙂
It kinda reminds me of rescue beauty’s orbits non-suffcit (sp?) Is it similar?
This would be a great shade if you worked in a conservative office; it’s subdued, but still pretty interesting. *looks at own sparkly midnight blue nails* (I work in IT; no one cares what my nails look like :P)
LoL! Yay!!! Being self-employed has it’s benefits too
hee, so true 🙂 But I’m on the west coast anyway, and we’re pretty relaxed about appearance out here. I wear t-shirts and jeans to work and I fit right in.
Looove this one! What a beautiful, smoky, murky green grey!
Oohh I like this–very interesting color!
Reminds me of Nein, Nein, Nein, OK Fine from the OPI Germany collection this fall. Beautiful color, looks great on short nails!
I think Essie’s School of Hard Rocks, might be similar?? http://lacquerwear.com/polish-reviews/essie-winter-2011-school-of-hard-rocks-swatch/
OOOh… I’m browsing all your Zoya posts trying to decide on colors for their three free polishes promo. This color caught my eye, just sooo pretty.. it’s like a deeper version of Inglot Nail Enamel 983 from the Azure collection (if anyone wants to see swatches of that, just search for it on my blog). I think this is one I’ll be adding to my cart 😀
