YSL Spring 2023 Lipstick Swatches (x9)
YSL just added three shades to three of their lip formulas for spring, which I purchased and have swatched for you in this post with reviews to come soon! I actually have not tried the Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Sticks before, and they were a lot more pigmented than I expected, so I might have to try the other shades when there’s a good sale going (since they’ve been out for awhile).
Cacao No Boundary and Rosewood Beat are my two picks, as both would look perfect for something to throw on and walk out the door!
Hmmm – usually YSL lipsticks are luxurious and stunning – but not some of these – they look patchy and underpigmented.
Exploding Nude looks very nice (though the name makes me laugh). I have a Slim Velvet Radical lipstick in shade 311 and I think the formula is fantastic, but I struggle putting it on because of the square shape. I’d probably use it a lot if it wasn’t for that one thing.
I thought the square shape would be great, that the line around the lips would be crisp and nice. I was so wrong. For me it’s almost impossible to use the lipstick even if I’m not in a hurry to go outside. I think I need a lot of practice using it, and guess I’ll have learned by the time the lipstick is finished.
I’m sorry you have the same problem, but kind of relieved I’m not the only one.
I found that if I swivel about a half inch out of the tube, it gets a tiny bit easier, though that works less and less as it gets used up.
I’m scared I’d break it.
I take it as a lesson learned, I’m supposed to stick to “normal” lipstick bullets, at least when in a hurry.
Ooh love these shades, especially the first three. Sometimes the YSL lipsticks look more hydrating than they feel. I love the way they look though when worn.
They’re all quite nice and I was pleasantly surprised by the lip swatches. “”Vibe in Amber” and “Upbeat Rose” stood out for me.
