YSL Illegal Rosy Nude & Transgressive Cacao Glossy Stains Reviews & Swatches
Illegal Rosy Nude (207)
YSL Illegal Rosy Nude (207) Water Stain Glow Glossy Stain ($38.00 for 0.2 oz.) is a medium, peachy coral that translated into more of a pinky-coral when applied to my lips. It had semi-opaque color coverage that applied somewhat evenly, but it seemed to emphasize my lip lines a bit (though not so much by settling into them).
The product had a watery, thin consistency when initially applied, but the formula developed into a tackier, more gel-like feel that was a bit heavier but was less prone to moving around. It wore decently for five hours and felt hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$38.00/0.2 oz. - $190.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be a "lip stain with a luminous, glowy finish" that is hydrating and "long-lasting." Unlike the original Water Stain, which is described as an "intense" and "high-impact color" formula, these are a sheerer offering. The coverage ranged from semi-sheer to more semi-opaque but most were medium in coverage.
The texture was very lightweight, watery, and felt a bit cool and wet as they went on initially. They develop into a tackier, thicker consistency that feels smooth and more substantial, though not heavy, which gives the formula better longevity (six hours or so). They left behind faint stains.
I found it wasn't the easiest formula to work with, and it was extremely reactive to any lingering oils or moisture on my lips prior to application, so it was critical to remove any lip balm and blot dry (even water droplets after drinking water would interfere). The darker shades in the range tended to apply unevenly or settle into lip lines noticeably consistently.
The formula was hydrating and comfortable to wear, though I could taste the floral fragrance whenever I ate/drank.

PPermanent. $38.00.
Transgressive Cacao (211)
YSL Transgressive Cacao (211) Water Stain Glow Glossy Stain ($38.00 for 0.2 oz.) is a medium-dark, coppery brown with moderate, warm undertones and a glossy finish. It had medium pigmentation that applied fairly evenly to my lips, but there was a bit of streaking along the outer edges, even as the product dried down.
The texture felt thin, watery, and lightweight when I initially applied it, but it developed into a much tackier, more gel-like texture after a couple of minutes, which did ensure greater longevity. This shade stayed on well for five and a half hours and felt moisturizing over time.

I really LOVE Transgressive Cacao a lot! This is my favorite type of shade for this time of year. Just nice and toasty like a warm sweater!
Illegal Rosy Nude is also pretty. But not as impactful as Transgressive Cacao!
Wow, Transgressive Cacao looks gorgeous on you. Hope you wear it “for real” some time!
both of these are my exact favorite kind of shade!
Both of these shades look pretty good and quality is there to make it worth the price. Transgressive Cacao would be my favourite, such a lovely autumnal shade.
