First, I would use the palette as shadows.
I’ll take the light contour shade as a crease colour and the pink highlight as my lid color. Then, I’ll take the middle contour shade on my third lid and deepen the outer V with the darkest shade. I’ll run the middle and dark shade along my lower lash line. I’ll use the yellow highlight shade as my eyebrow highlight and as an inner eyes highlight.

Later, I would use the lightest shade for contouring and deepen it up a bit with the middle shade, just where my cheek bones are.

I’d wear this product on different occasions using different techniques- I’d use lighter shades for everyday contouring to make my face appear slimmer and would play up the intensity for a more dramatic look. Would be absolutely grateful to win this palette!

Because I’m quite a pale person, I would take the shade Sombre to contour my cheekbones. I feel like that’s a really nice shade that I could also work into the crease of my eyes, I’m not sure I’d be able to contour with the other two shades, but those could also double as eyeshadows then!

As for the highlighting shades, I would use Lucid to highlight my cheekbones, browbone and some other areas of my face. And finally, I could use Levitation as my setting powder! I feel like this would be a nice, multifunctional palette that I couldl really get a lot of use out of! 🙂

I’d wear the lightest shade as a bronzer all over the face mainly in the contour regions. Then I’d take the darkest contour shade and contour my cheeks, forehead, neck/jawline, nose and underlip. I’d take a bit of one of the highlight shades after that and apply it to the tops of my cheekbones and down the center of my face.

Always interested by contour palettes! I’d definitely use the last column the most for a dramatic look, and the middle for a subtle one. The first column wouldn’t show on my skin, but the highlighter would still be pretty. 🙂

I’m pale and cool and so most contouring powders are too orange, too warm, too dark. But the bottom left shade in this palette looks like it would work nicely as a contour and the darker and lighter shades seem like they would work for a really nice, natural eye look, just giving a bit of definition.

I might just wear this as the ultimate allover “nude” face, with maybe some extra interest around the eyes, like a light blue waterline and a smoky, smudgy liner and heavy lashes. These colors were made for my skin tone.

I’m so curious about this palette! I’m using bronzer to shape my face every day so I would probably use this the same way as now. Thank you for another amazing giveaway Christine!

I don’t own any contour palettes, or any contour products yet! I have heard so many great things about this palette and think it would work well for my medium skin tone. Ive been using bronzer products that are more orange tone (and shimmery) than grey for the past year, so i think having this palette would help me build up my skill level.

BeautyCandie Avatar

I would use the bottom middle shade to carve out the planes of my face, the banana shade under my eyes and the left highlighter on my cheekbones and through the middle of my face!

JBoogie Avatar

I would use the highlighter colors in the traditions highlight areas, and the darker colors would work better as bronzer colors for me since they’re on the warmer side.

Crystal Avatar

I have medium-tan olive skin so I would use this palette to create shadows and dimension to my face. I think that guiding from your review and swatches that I’d be able to use every color for specific purposes. I will also use the shadows on my eyes.

Nina Avatar

I don’t own any contour palettes, and this is actually on my list to purchase so I would love to win this! Since I am new to highlighting and contouring, I would definitely use the guide it comes with to help me get better.

I’ve heard these are super creamy! I would love to win and wear it! Fair skinned ladies have such trouble finding a good contour. here is to hoping it works for us light skin ladies.

Laura Avatar

Not only would I use the palette on myself, but also would love to use it on friends and family who are always looking for the perfect contoured cheek!

Hayley Avatar

I love the cool-toned contour shades in this palette! I’m very fair and, from your swatches, think the lightest shades would be amazing for my first experience with cream contour. I wish Kat Von D would sell the contour/highlight shades as a duo instead of a 6 pan palette!

I feel like most of the other cream contour palettes coming out right now are too orange or brown without enough ash/coolness. So many beautiful cream contour palettes with bad complementation for fair skinned girls… It’s a struggle!

Cynthia Avatar

I think I’d go for a pretty soft smokey brown eye using just the colors from this palette and then using the same shades to highlight and contour to get a monochromatic look and pairing it with a bright lip.

Lindsay Christoph Avatar

I haven’t ever done much contouring..but I love those highlighting shades! I’d probably start by using those to set my under eye concealer! 🙂

Janna Avatar

I would use it to contour! There are so many contour palettes coming out but many of them have a lot of warm shades in them!! Which basically defeats the purpose when you are going to be using them to contour!
So this one is super perfect to carve and sculpt the face 🙂

Alexandria Avatar

I’ve recently been getting into contouring big time, but I haven’t found the perfect shade for me, sooo since this palette has been highly raved about I’m suuuper interested in trying it out!

Alex Avatar

I would experiment with the contouring shades and highlighting shades for setting concealer, highlighting, contouring, and possibly see if they would work as an eyeshadow?!?

Lauren Avatar

I would love to win this palette! I’ve been drooling over it for months and it is just calling to me. I’ve been diving head first into makeup and this would be a great addition.

Cheryl Avatar

I’ve never tried any of Kat Von D’s products but would absolutely love to!! I would use the palette for highlighting, contouring and as eye shadows. I like to use highlighters with eye shadows, it adds an extra dimension to me.

Tami42 Avatar

I would use the 2 darker shades to contour and the bronzer to warm up the skin, then highlight with the 3 lighter shades. Of course then I would use them all on my eyes too in virtually the same way:)

Linda Avatar

I’m light completed so would probably use the lightest shades most of all. But I might be able to get some eye looks from the darker shades. I would sure like to try!

CatG Avatar

Honestly, my contouring skills are not the best. I imagine I’d just experiment a lot with all the colors! Sombre would probably be my most used for every day contouring of the cheeks.

I’m pale with neutral/warm-ish combo skin and constant redness/broken out areas – that’s how I discovered Kat Von D’s foundations to begin with! (I use 44+46) I love the coverage + how light yet colour-balanced the shades are in the line – however because of my heavier foundation routine I lose the natural definition in my face so I’m getting very interested in contouring to bring it back (and to make me look better/slimmer – I have good cheekbones but a fuller face, doesn’t do me any favours when it’s all one colour!)

Unfortunately I don’t really know what I’m doing, don’t really have any money to invest in the endeavor (Illamasqua’s Hollow cream pigment seems really promising, but for ~$67? Ouch! I wish they had a US distributor! Between the GBP conversion and the international shipping charges I’ve got an Illamasqua wishlist a mile long of things I’ll never be able to afford!) The one contour I do own is NYX’s Taupe HD blush, and I just bought that at Ulta with a coupon after finding out about it through your wonderful site! 🙂

Also It seems like all the domestic palettes that have been released lately look *very* warm/brown and are geared towards tan/bronzed/medium-toned people. (What do goths contour with?? Or warm-leaning pale people?? Very light does not always equal pink/cool tones! :/) This does look like it may also lean too warm/brown but I’d love to have something to experiment with regardless, I love KVD, and I’m just getting back into doing my makeup and experimenting after being injured and sick for the last few months, so it’s kind of a lot for my self-esteem too.

Diana D. Avatar

This is one of the prettiest contouring palettes I’ve ever seen! I’m not particularly skilled at doing contouring. But this palette has some beautiful, soft, natural shades that might actually make me be able to do some contouring in a very subtle manner.

Alycia Rivet Avatar

I would learn to cream contour with this bad boy! I currently just use my milk chocolate and some eye shadows to contour, but it’d be fun to learn with a product I don’t have to shell out for. I am a makeup enthusiast who doesn’t have the budget to support the commitment 🙂

Sidrah Avatar

I’d love to wear this for special occasions! Especially the highlight shades to brighten my under eyes. The contouring shades I would totally use on a daily basis to warm up my complexion.

Christy Avatar

I would love to win this to figure out which shades I would need and where. I love watching videos and reading about contouring and highlighting but I’ve never actually tried it. Thanks for this great opportunity.

veraamonica Avatar

I would love to win this palette so much, i have a round chubby face so I need a good sculpting powder to contour my face so I can get a nice sculpted face
