I love fresh and/or fruity fragrances in the Summer. Favorites include Givenchy’s Very Irresistible Summer Edition, Loewe’s A mi Aire, Mugler’s Cologne or Narcisso Rodriguez’s Essence.

I the heat of Summer I like to wear Bath & Body Works Cool Citrus Basil, Versace Yellow Diamond or DKNY Be Delicious–and even the Golden Delicious works for me when it’s hot outside.

Be Delicious is gorgeous in the summer, and not as obvious as the water and/or pina collada scents everyone is wearing.

ugh, you and me both. I am OBSESSED with coconut! Just last night I opened a new bottle of Summer Coconut Mango Wen (highly recommend) and I have an overwhelming desire to order 5 back ups. I also have been really into Candles By Victoria (also highly recommend, they make killer tropical scents!). My mom and I placed our first order of 25 scent shots; more than 10 of them that I chose are coconut based…. and I already have a wishlist of many more. lol!

Mmmm… I tend to choose exotic fruit fragrances, light white florals. Favorite notes – strawberry, watermelon, plum, guava, pear, litchi to name few…

Marc Jacobs Daisy Shimmering Body Lotion. It leaves a subtle sparkle on the skin and I get tons of compliments on the scent. I also have the perfume and I love it.

I also love coconut! And mango! I recently bought the Shikai body wash in Starfruit from Whole Foods and I love that stuff! It smells so fresh.

Lemongrass and citrus scents keep me energized. I also can’t help but stay in love with my standard scents (orange ginger from B&BW, CKOne and Acqua di Gioia).

I want to try branching out some more, though to more florals, especially jasmine as it reminds me of hot, summer days (much like we’ve been having here in NJ for the past few weeks!)

I love wearing Escada fragrances in the warmer months!
Escada Rockin’ Rio is one of my favorites.

I probably haven’t been wearing perfume long enough to have a shade that really reminds me of summer, and most of my best memories involve winter and autumn (I kept thinking perfume memories and they’re all cold season ones, weird). Summer = sunscreen, cologne and deodorant mixed with sweat (ick, because people put on way too much of the former to cover the latter), my friend’s coconut hair oil, the lake and that one funky drain in the city, grilled food, chlorine. Summer *has* a smell, like anticipation mixed with the smell of some trees that grew in my school playground, and slight breeze on a hot day. But I’d avoid all those smells by staying indoors, because I hate the heat.

(sorry, went a bit beatnik there)

I’m loving Aquolina Gold Sugar right now. Cream, coconut, and sandalwood with a hint of orange. Yum.

Presently I am enjoying Jo Malone’s Nectarine Blossom and Honey, and Guerlain Aqua Allegoria in Pamplelune!!!

I really love citrusy scents for summer..not in perfumes per se, but in body washes, hand washes, etc… I actually tend to not wear any perfumes during the summer. I find them too clingy during the hot humid months and can easily be overwhelmed and turned off. I tend towards heavier more exotic fragrances which suit my body chemistry but they are too overpowering for summer for my nose.

Anything coconut makes me want to barf. LoL.. stupid move when I was much younger and far less responsible and a certain night with a bottle of Malibu… oh god…

I tend to agree. More often than not I regret putting on fragrance during the summer. Even many lotions feel cloying to me. Someone was wearing FlowerBomb, which I normally love, in an elevator with me the other day and I nearly gagged.

Hahaha that made me laugh!

My favourite summer fragrance is Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, but I’m trying to use up a limited edition Marc Jacobs Daisy from 2 years ago which I have in 125ml!

The Body Shop’s Shea Beautifying Oil has been my summer scent this year. But Escada summer fragrances will always hold a special place in my heart.

I’m with you, I’m a coconut fiend! I’m loving Bath & Body Works Exotic Coconut body spray that they brought back over their semi annual sale. I am also head over heals in love with Pacifica’s Coconut Crushed Pearl Bronzing Body Butter. It has a hint of bronze and shimmer that gives me a nice tan look and and I smell amazing!

Some of my friends make fun of me for this, but I just love to smell like Pina Colada all summer! Sometimes I mix in a little vanilla scent or a little of Shakira’s S perfume but yeah, I guess I like to smell sickly sweet and fruity during the summer!

Guerlain’s Mandarine Basilic is my classic summer perfume; so juicy and citrusy, I love it!

Christine, if you’re loving coconut scents, then you need to try Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab’s Obatala, Elegba, and Black Pearl blends! They’re some of the best I’ve ever smelled : -)

Normally I don’t wear any kind of fragrance in the summer, I love the scent of Coppertone and the after sun lotion by Hawaiian Tropic. But this summer I’ve been wearing Bvlgari Omnia Coral and it’s perfect!

Ormonde Jayne Frangipani (frangipani, lime); Vero Profumo’s Mito (magnolia, green citrus, green); Serge Lutens Fleurs de Citronnier (lemon blossom); Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine (blood orange); and Neela Vermiere Bombay Bling (mango) are all to die for during the summer! They really help make the heat bearable.

Clarins Eau Dynamisante or fresh, green neroli fragrances like Tom Ford Neroli Portofino or Philosophy Living Grace…..and then there’s always Chanel Chance eau Fraiche

Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess (beachy, coconutty perfection)

MAC Turquatic (aquamarine, crisp with a warmth)

Philosykos by Diptyque! Pure Greek summer in a bottle! Fig leaves with coconut background . The EdP version lasts a little longer.

Lover of coconut, too! I also love EL Beyond Paradise, D&G Light Blue and MAC Turquatic Heat.

My favorite for the past like 7 years has been Ralph by Ralph Lauren. It’s something you’d like if you’re into vanilla, coconut or citrus scents. It’s lovely and wears well any time of the year! I’m also loving Pacifica’s Island Vanilla perfume… It’s seriously DELICIOUS! If you love vanilla and coconut, you should definitely try it out. It doesn’t wear terribly long, but with the rollerball in my purse, I don’t mind quickly reapplying it throughout the day. 🙂 I wanted to love Lush’s Vanillary, but the solid doesn’t last for more than maybe 30 minutes and I’m finding it hard to convince myself to spend over $40(for the bigger spray) on a perfume from them, considering the lasting power of the solid.

If anyone has any recommendations for a coconut/vanilla/citrus scent, please please please post it! Island Vanilla is one of the first I’ve found that falls into those categories(well, it’s not citrusy) and I’ve been keeping my eye out for anything else! I’ll definitely have to look into B&BW Aruba Coconut and EL’s Bronze Goddess. 🙂
