I just love the overall smokiness and richness of everything. I love a good berry or plum lip with an earthy, neutral eye, but I also love a smoky eye with nude lips. The same goes for Fall fragrances–warm, rich, and wonderful.

I’m looking forward to Fall nail colours; this year I’m eyeing the Forest Greens and Deep Plums. But besides makeup I love Fall because I can wear coats, tights, scarves, and boots again! I am NOT a summer person.

Oooh- all the myriad variations on the vampy lip. I rock a mean Noir lip with zero fear! Was looking at old pictures of Smashing Pumpkins bassist D’Arcy from the 90’s.. I will never relinquish or abandon these colors. Pry Cyber from my cold, dead hand. I used to sport MAC Grid, I kinda miss that wacky color. I used to wear UD Frostbite, Pallor and Cash. Now I’m singing PM Dawn :: Set adrift on memory bliss::: OT: when are the MAC voted on colors coming out online?

I love deep red lipsticks ( either brandy or blue based ones or true blood ones ) and grey eyeshadows with a neutral nude pink blush such as M.A.C Stunner or Chanel Rose Ecrin. I also love Nars duos Grand Palais or Underworld. I dont’ wear any nail polish on my hands just a Base Coat except on special occasions. So I would say grey / delicate rose /  deep red are my Fall colours.Nars fall 2012 will be great for me !

I love all the rich, warm colours like golds, russets, olive greens and coppers that always look so good at this time of year. Oh, and being able to wear my faux fur gilets again!!

Deeper red and wine tones on the lips. As much as I complain about warmer colours not suiting me, some of the slightly warmer or browned reds do work and look great for fall. The same goes for blush. I love earthy green shadows (shades like Stila’s La Douce or MAC Sumptuous Olive). The fact that it’s cooler means I don’t mind having “more” on my face (when it’s hot and humid, who wants to put on foundation?)  Autumn clothing is my favourite too – the textures and just the look of good quality woolens, tweeds, flannel, etc.  And you can toss a scarf around your neck without thinking “it’s just too hot for this”.

The rich colours and more opaque finishes are definitely the highlight. I love deep wine, burgundy, plum lip colours and deep, rich khakis, smoky colours and plums for eyeshadows.

I will add that I live in evergreen Australia! I wish that I could use makeup to reflect the beauty of the seasons, their landscapes. That would be so pretty to me, I love the idea of moving hemispheres one day so I can enjoy seasonal changes.

This is silly but it’s actually the value sets brands seem to put out this time of year lol. The shades (of every kind of product) seem to be more complex and unique.

I like the warmth of the colors. They work well with my skin tone. The abundance of darker shades also lets me tap into my inner goth girl without looking too obvious.

I’m far more fond of deep rich colours than pale washed out pastels..  Maybe because I cannot wear pastels without looking like death.  I also love wearing sweaters and Fall is my favourite time of year.

You took the words right out of my keyboard, Christine. I’ve always been a dark lip fan and it’s probably the one thing about my tastes in makeup that haven’t changed over the years. Glad to know you’ve been lured a little further to the dark side :-))

Oy!  I don’t even want to talk anything fall related but if I have to, I’d say I love the pumpkin and burgundy lipsticks and copper and moss shadows.

Berry, bronze colored, or simply, dark eyes and auburn lips 🙂
This is what I like the most, I wear it even in the summer 😀

I wear deep, dark vampy shades year-round, but I tend to find the best ones in the Fall collections, whether it be eyeshadow or lip products. There’s also the fact I can wear a full face of makeup without it melting off. I tend to match my makeup to my clothing, not only in color but texture, as well. If I’m wearing a light-weight, gauzy outfit, I keep my makeup minimal; if I’m wearing a more complex outfit, with heavier materials (or a mix), I tend to go heavier on the makeup. Another great thing, no more hot pink or coral lips & tips.

Oh man…where to start?! Lol. I love the darker lips, the deeper eyeshadow shades, and coordinating my makeup looks for the holidays. There’s something about pairing darker makeup with warm sweaters and leather boots that I really love, too. I also happen to love doing research on expensive makeup for my Christmas and birthday lists! 😉
