I agree Clio. Rockatuer is one of those rare products that never ever fail. No matter what the situation is Rocketuer will just look good and work.

Charlotte Tilbury x Norman Parkinson Colour of Youth Blush. It adds the perfect pink/coral flush to the cheeks and wears especially well when the weather is cool!

For the first time in a while I haven’t had a “go-to” blush actually. I’ve mostly been switching between Hourglass Mood Exposure, Nars Orgasm, Tarte Exposed, Benefit Coralista and Nars Goulue depending on my mood and the look I’ve been going for. For most of the winter it was either Mood Exposure or Exposed, though.

Leah Avatar

Mine are hourglass mood exposure and Nars Orgasm too! I also loved Nars Sin before I broke it. :”( I’m assuming we have similar complexion (NC30-35)

Anne Avatar

I’m actually like an NC15, but I find Orgasm is a strangely universal color (and also I have REALLY red cheeks naturally so it’s still a mellow look on me). I just have to be sure to pair it with a more muted lip otherwise it’s a bit too pink all around. I’ve been eyeing Sin for a while now. I think I’ll probably get it next fall when it will work well on my ghost-pale skin XD.

Claire L Avatar

Bareminerals’ Golden Gate from The Royal Court cheek palette, it’s subtle on my pale skin for daytime. I love a stronger blush for nighttime, any will do, I’m not fussy! Love theBalm’s Frat Boy, Stila’s blusher from Sending my Love holiday set, Ciaté x Olivia Palermo Bluff Point, etc.

Anne Avatar

I love Goulue. I wish I had gotten it months ago though as it’s a really good fall/winter color and as such I haven’t been using it as often as I’d like. But it’s a powder so come next fall it will be getting much use from me.

Astrild Avatar

Right now my most used blushes are MAC A liitle lusty and ELF Berry Merry. Love the MAC one. The ELF one is not the best quality but I loooooove the color, so when I’ll finished it, I’ve hit pan already, I’ll look for a better quality dupe. Dupe list, wait for me!!!!!

Fran Avatar

Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush in Ethereal Pink. It’s cool-toned, it’s subtle, it has a nice bit of glow, blends well with my finishing powder, highlighter, and contour, is easy to apply. It’s always beautiful on me, whatever else I’m wearing, because it fits in so well with my own skin tone.

Grace Avatar

Benefit Dallas. It goes with almost any look and practically blends itself, so it’s what I reach for when I’m in a rush or too bleary eyed in the morning to try hard. This blush always manages to get into my rotation, and it’s the only blush I’ve ever repurchased.

VAL MARTIN Avatar

I love Dallas too and have hit pan on mine. Some time ago I read that Dallas was being discontinued so set out to buy a dupe. I got NARS Doucour (sp?) which was more dusky coloured. Needless to say Dallas was not discontinued but I see the NARS one has.

Oh man, that is a tough one. I have so many right now I try to use something different constantly, but since it is cooler I have been trying to get a lot more use out of the few cream blushes I have because I do love how they look. My two favorites are the Becca Shimmering Beach Tints (the pot ones) and the Charlotte Tilbury one from the collection with the ridiculously expensive pretty packing (the only thing I kept from that collection, despite purchasing most of the products – stupid decision).

For powder I love my Hourglass blush, UD blushes, and NARS dual intensity. I got the limited edition Tom Ford summer palette from the 2015 collection that has a peach and a plum blush, and I also adore those. All great options in my opinion!

Ray Avatar

Essence’s silky blush in Adorable. When I apply it high over my cheekbones, it balances out my “omg are you sick????” pallor, but you’d never notice that I was actually wearing blush.

Carolyn Avatar

Blush is my favourite! I just picked up the Stila Lip and Cheek palette in Sunrise Splendor and am loving it. I also use MAC Warm Soul almost everyday even if I’m using another blush too. I’m really loving the UD x Gwen Stefani blush palette. I also recently picked up a few of the Buxom blushes which I think are amazing. Seriously I love blush and could keep going on and on.

Erin D Avatar

Loving the MAC Flamingo Park blush collection, particularly Lets Be Friends and This Could Be Fun. But my old favourite stand-by is MAC Tippy blush (LE).

Linda Avatar

I used to never wear blush and only bronzer, then switched to only blush -these days my go to look is back to bronzer only – Hourglass Luminous Bronze Light. My face is small, I feel like there’s no room for both. But when I get tired of this I’ll be back to MAC Warm Soul (original version). I feel like all my other pink blushes end up warming up on my face (probably because my foundation is very yellow toned) and looking all the same anyway, so those are my 2 looks!

xamyx Avatar

L’Oréal True Match Blush in C3-4 Tender Rose. It’s easy to wear, impossible to overdo, and since I’ve hit major pan on it, I’m really just trying to finish it up, LOL! I *may* repurchase at some point, especially if I catch a great sale… 90% of my blush stash are similar shades, so I’m in no rush to replace it. If I want a bit more color, I’ll go with Milani Romantic Rose, or combine the 2.

Ideally, NARS Douceur would be the only blush I’d ever need to own for the rest of my life, but since it was DC’d, I save it for special occasions, and really need to find a dupe…

RMW (Rose) Avatar

My three go to blushes are, Kat Von D’s Everlasting Face Shaper Blush in “Love Song”. It looks scary at first, downright clownish in the compact! Lol. But I assure you that it is a very beautiful color! CoverGirl Cheekers Blush in 148 Natural Rose. Now this color at first glance looks like there’s no color and it doesn’t look like it would do much for your cheeks and adding color! I assure you that this isn’t the case! My very last, but best go to cheek color (which is a cheaper version of a Bobby Brown Blush color, that Dutchess Kate Of Cambridge wears) is E.L.F. Blush in Pink Passion! Omgosh, LOVE IT!! Yet, once again when you look at this color blush you might say it’s way too bright for me. It’s not, trust me ladies! The top half of this blush is like a peachy, pretty coral and the bottom is that bright pink color. I gently swirl my brush around into BOTH the colors, tap the brush to get the excess off, and apply to cheeks. It is always better to put your lipstick color on first, IMHO. This helps you not overdue the blush color. I always start off with less. Because you can always add more if need be. 🙂

Make Up For Ever HD Blush in 315. The formula is awesome and the color is so natural on me. For reference I have an Asian light-medium skin tone with golden undertones.

Eliz Avatar

I’ve been going for very subtle blushes of late. I have four that I’ve used almost exclusively for the past few months. Rouge Bunny Rouge Gracilis and Delicate, NARS Impassioned, and Femme Fatale Fortune Cookie. All of these are lovely and very easy shades for us pale folk to pull off.

Alice Avatar

I wore it today actually, and next week I might toss a photo up in my looks gallery.

I think you’d like Blackbird. The powders and blushes are all really soft and blendable, and the blushes all have a nice finish. I don’t have any of the pressed shadows though (just a few of the old loose ones she discontinued last year).

Tova J Avatar

Nars Deep Throat. I have it as a deluxe size, so it’s very handy to bring with me when I’m at my boyfriend’s place! Also it goes with like everything.

Stephanie Avatar

You mean just one? But seriously, I probably wear Burberry Cameo, Elizabeth Arden Plum Perfection and Clarins Miami Pink the most. But I really attempt to wear all of them once and a while.

Stephanie Avatar

I never was much into blush until recently, and until about a month ago I really only had the ones that came in the three Tarte round palettes that I own. So, I bought the Too Faced blush palette and the UD Gwen Stefani blush palette to give me some options and a chance to try something new.

I switch it up a lot, but I always go back to Too Faced Baby Love, Hush from the Gwen Stefani palette (and I’m not sure what I’m going to do when it runs out and I can’t get more!), and Tarte Exposed. Too Faced’s blush formula seems to blend particularly well on my skin.

Brandi Avatar

After the Kat Von D fiasco I’ve kinda been iffy about spending a ton of money on blush, but I needed new blush. So, I bought the new NYX ombre blush. Personally, I love it. I have mauve me and sweet spring.

JESSIKA Avatar

Shea Moisture Copper and La Femme “Sienna”. Sienna is actually a good dupe for MACs Raizin. They both look great on brown/dark skin. These are my two favorite inexpensive blush brands.

Cat Avatar

I really don’t have an everyday blush. I grab different blushes depending on my eye makeup. I do reach for Nars Sex Fantasy, Marc Jacobs Outspoken, and Clinique Pansy Pop the most.

LauraA Avatar

If my outfit is undecided, my go to is theBalm Frat Boy. On me it’s a toned down (less sparkly) version of Orgasm. And it looks great with a neutral lip.

Jessica Avatar

Oldie but goodie, if all else fails, COVER GIRL Plumberry Glow. They changed the formula over the years as it doesn’t have the same sheen it once did but, the colour is so natural it goes with any lipstick or eye look 🙂

BonnieBBon Avatar

LoL Jessica I can’t believe I just read that! Plumberry Glow was my jam too 😀 I couldn’t even begin to guess how many times Ive repurchased that one. I haven’t worn it or thought about it in so long. I wonder if the formula change was what made me move on.

Jessica Avatar

Haha! It’s the first I think of when I come across blush polls lol! I know have to scrape the blush with the little applicator and apply with my regular blush brush. I just wish they hadn’t reformulated. When I inquired about it, they claimed to not changing the formula at all. ?

WCV Avatar

I totally agree with your favorites. I like Chanel Sunkiss Ribbon or Crescendo over Jersey and Tom Ford Pink Sand to highlight. I also like Rose Bronze under Tom Ford Love Lust. If I need it to stay on longer I sometimes use a little La Prarie Peach Glow under the Rose Bronze combo.

Sleepy_Belle Avatar

My current and cool weather go to has been Hikari ‘Bikini’. It’s just enough natural looking color on my Casper-like complexion to not make me look like a street walker.

Alicia Johnson Morris Avatar

A month ago, my answer would have been Benefit Coralista. It just looks great on me and is long wearing on my skin. But now, I’m in love with the Gwen Stefani blush palette from UD. Ever since I picked it up I have been wearing it every day, and I get compliments left and right!

Alicia Johnson Morris Avatar

Hi Val!

There are three of the blushes I use all the time and another that I use occasionally to warm up my face, more like a bronzer than as a blush. The remaining two “in between” shades I haven’t exactly figured out when/how I will wear them. But 4 out of 6 make the palette a win in my book!

My skin tone is fair to medium, but I lean more toward the fair end of that spectrum. I’m not super pale fair though. I would say if your tone is any deeper than medium, this palette might not work as well. This whole collection seems to be geared toward someone with tones similar to Gwen’s. I hope this answer helps!

VAL MARTIN Avatar

Thanks Alucia. I took the plunge and bought the palette yesterday. My skin tone is similar to yours though in the Summer it is warmer. Am looking forward to trying them all.

Vanessa V Avatar

For about 2, months I was using Clinique Nude Pop daily and to give love my my other blushes, I took out Mac’s LE Mighty Aphrodite and have been alternating between that and Nars Madly.

Nicole Avatar

I don’t really have a go-to blush since blush is actually one of the products I find it easier to change up, but I think if I had to look at my collection and pick out a favorite I would actually choose a lipstick-Lancôme color design in Corset. When I swatch it on my skin it’s this intense pinky-coral, but sheered out as a cream blush it’s a gorgeous pink-literally my perfect “healthy” color.

Stacy Avatar

On bare-minimum makeup days, it’s Tarte Cheek Stain in “Flushed.” And since that’s most days, I guess that’s what I’d call my every-day blush.

Dawn Avatar

My favorite shade from the Hourglass palette is Luminous Bronze Light but now that I have the UD Gwen Stefani blush palette, I’m in love with the shades, Hush and Easy. Gwen and UD did such a great job creating these beautiful blushes…I just can’t live without them. ??

BonnieBBon Avatar

My current go to blushes have been Benefit’s Rocketuer, UD Rapture and Mood Exposure by hourglass. I’m starting to use my UD/Gwen blush palette more and more too.

Tapnfeet99 Avatar

Three different ones depending on what color I’m wearing…

Peachy pink, Nars Orgasm

Pink, Nars Mata Hari (probably my number one go to)

Purple, Urban Decay Bittersweet

Ellen Avatar

Overwhelmingly right now I’m reaching for Benefit Coralista. It is deadset gorgeous and I wear it non stop.
It is summer here in Australia though – once the weather cools down (slightly!) I’ll probably reach for my beloved Max Factor creme puff blush in nude mauve and Tarte Celebrated again.

VAL MARTIN Avatar

Benefit Dallas. Have hit pan and am trying to use up. I do still want the UD GS blush palette though and feel the need to splurge soon.

Alecto Avatar

Maybe Baby by Silk Naturals. It’s a MAC Blush Baby dupe. And by this I mean it’s my “don’t want to think about blush, and this will work with with everything” blush, but in all honesty, I pretty reliably think about my blush and make other choices on a regular basis — this is the fallback.

Quinctia Avatar

I rarely wear blush. In the past, when I have, it’s almost always been Rockateur.

I did cave on the Gwen Stefani blush palette, however, and I’ve worn OC 4-5 times in the last month. Which is a lot of blush wearing for me!

Kelly Avatar

NARS Impassioned..I just posted about it on the spring blushes thread, pretty soft muted pink blush that looks great on my fair skin. I went from a person who never wears blush to wearing it almost every day since I got it a few weeks ago

Zoe Avatar

I actually was mixing together together leftovers (products I hit the pan on or were not a fan of) and made my favorite go-to blush. The color is a peachy brown pink?
It is primarily a Dior powder foundation in a light/medium shade, and Rimmel blush in berry. I might have thrown in a frosty white eyeshadow, or the like, as I don’t wear them. But somehow these 3 less than perfect ingredients on their own combined into such a lovely color- I wear it every day.
It’s similar to Nars Douceor I think?

Connie Avatar

I usually tend to wear my Two Faced love flush in baby love or my Milani luminoso, or one of the two blushes from my Hourglass Ambient Edit palette (Luminous flush or Mood exposure) it all depends on the rest of my makeup and my mood.

Amara Avatar

it’s usually the balm’s frat boy because i’m trying to use up my sample or it’s kat von d’s piaf + poe. because i don’t mind the formula of the blush.
