Well I can’t do the dark eyes/dark lips combo without feeling like I look like one of those girls from the “addicted to love” 80s video. Trend or no trend, I just feel it looks bad on me!

Blue eyeshadow even when paired with a non-black neutral color look has always been unkind to me. lol. I can only make blue work on me when it’s paired with black eyeshadow in a smokey eye look.

I’ve always wanted to wear an intense black smoky eye with a deep bordeaux-colored lip. For some reason I just can’t seem to make it work on me. That and I don’t really have a place to wear such an intense look. Too bad, girls who can pull it off look absolutely stunning.

Yellow & any other colour, because im south asian, i can never find a yellow shows up! The only yellow i have is Mac’s bright sunshine, and it looks disastrous on me

Really anything with purple. I so want to be able to look good in purple. Even paired with green (my comfort zone) I still haven’t been able to create a look worthy of re-trying.

I can’t use more than one peach colored makeup item on my face. peach blush with peach lipstick or a peach eyeshadow combo looks horrible on me. i can only do the peach lipstick!

I’m shocked there is a colour combo that doesn’t work on you, Christine. Seriously! You have the most incredible versatility!! I wish I could wear greens more successfully because I love them. Unfortunately, I am limited to a few odd shades because the remainder make me look sallow and sick. Blues are usually a tough colour, but I can wear a greater range of blues than greens. I realize this is about colour ‘combinations’ so let’s just say, I wish I could wear green and ______ fill in the blank 🙂

Not really a colour combination, exactly, but I can’t wear anything orange – I can only *just* pull off yellow-toned pinks like Nicki Minaj Viva Glam lipstick. I have naturally red hair and pale, cool-toned skin, and it just clashes with my hair and makes my skin look pallid and grey. Yum!

I haven’t been able to pull off yellow and orange; I really want to use them in summer! But that shouldn’t surprise me since I typically can’t pull off either one separately. The closest I can get is gold and coral, but they still look better if they are as cool toned as possible. But just a tiny bit of bright yellow by my tear ducts I can get away with, so I bought a yellow eyeshadow anyway.

I absolutely love the yellow-green color, but somehow wearing it makes my skintone look as if I was decomposing. I got myself a blouse and a nail enamel of that shade, before I faced the cruel reality. Another ones would be neutral beiges, they just make the olive rest of me look dirty.

Really “dirty” or antique colors. Mustard yellow, antique gold or deep bronze. My skin is neutral, sometimes leans warm and other times cool, but I’m very fair, so those types of colors wash me out like crazy. 🙁 Bronze smokey eyes are not my friend too much…it has to be a very light clean bronze. And mustard yellow does not work with my skin at all in any form. If I tanned, it might be ok.

@Christine, that’s funny purple and yellow just happens to be one of my absolute favorite combinations ever and I think (hope, lol) is flattering on me!
I can’t do green and anything, Makes me look ill, I like it but it doesn’t like me back.
