What’s on your nails?

Nothing! I can’t even remember the last time I bothered to do my nails 🙁 I actually just bought cuticle oil this past weekend because my nails are in such rough shape.

I used to paint my nails something different every week and loved doing different designs. Now, unfortunately, I mainly only paint them on holidays. I work at the barn once a week and that really does a number on the polish so I just keep them bare. I do “maintenance” though so other than being plain they are in good shape.

Nothing.

I do my fingernails once in a while.

Currently on my toenail break. I stop using polish in early January and start again in late March.

ILNP – Secret Society (Spring 2019 collection). It is as gorgeous as it looks in the pictures. ILNP have recently recently released two Spring collections (Tranquility and Sugar Rush) and I’ve purchased the one mentioned, Yes Please and Paper Heart. I can’t wait to wear the other two. ILNP and Picture Polish are my favorite nail polish brands.

Glad I could help Georgina! It is a gorgeous collection, indeed. And the two nail polishes I have from their Tranquility coll. (Secret Society and Yes Please) are even more beautiful in person than they appear when swatched online.
I live in Canada and I order from Harlow & Co. They offer their customers the possibility to pre-order the new collections from ILNP, Picture Polish etc., which I love. They ship internationally as well, with the exception of a few countries I think.
As reference for high quality nail polish swatches, I usually go to a blog that has reviews in French but you can easily identify the nail polish without speaking/understanding French: http://www.nail-art-sakura.com/

i had essie sunshine state of mind with a matte topcoat on last week! i’m giving my nails a few days to breathe but they got stained really badly by a neon yellow polish i used a couple weeks ago so I’m gonna repaint them lilac soon, i think.

There was a point in my life when I always wore something on my nails, painting them every 2-3 days (because every nail polish chips easily when do chores around the house and cook almost every day). I loved and enjoy that then.
Nowadays I don’t wore anything, and it’s OK. I go just go through different phases.

Clean bare nails are lovely!
I’m wearing a goofy, frankly kind of cheap-looking fruit punch color that my sweetheart digs, because love is about compromise. 🙂

I stopped doing my nails over a decade ago. I tried doing a quick manicure at home every now and then but my nails would constantly chip.

Now a pedicure….a few times a year.

Right now, just my usual European Secrets Rock Hard nail hardener. My last “real” mani was when I did them for the Muse concert 3 weeks ago. Since moving to the east side of the Valley, my hands look so trashed by the hard water, that I hardly ever bother doing a full manicure with color polish any more. I have NEVER had such awful looking hands in my life! ?

Nothing, actually. I don’t do my nails very often and usually only for a special occasion. I have super dry cuticles and no amount of cuticle conditioner, lotion, oils or anything supposedly good at treating the problem, has been a failure so I really don’t try and draw attention to my hands.

Nothing on my fingers, not even base coat or nail strengthener. OPI My Very First Knockwurst is on my toes (which is what I wore on my wedding day, over 6 years ago – still going strong!)

I have silk wraps—a gel, a piece of silk, glue, powder, more glue, all shaped and buffed to perfection by a lovely lady who has been taking care of me for years. They are relatively short and somewhat square. I always wear navy blue polish, currently Rolling In The Deep from Deborah Lippmann.

I absolutely love navy polish ! I don’t wear polish due to my profession but love to see it on others. Navy is so classy and neutral to me.

My natural nails are so weak from biting them for so many years that I have solar nails done every three weeks. I like classic french nails with a twist, a little design here and there in white. Once in a while I will get bored and do a color but it will be a pale pink or something elegant.

Nothing on my fingernails – I don’t like wearing polish on them. If I have a special event I want to look nice for, like a wedding, I get them buffed. I do have very chipped coppery red polish on my toenails from my last pedicure in the fall.

i just discovered the joy of chanel nail polishes. ballerina is a pale nude pink which typically would be difficult to apply smoothly and needs 3 coats to look even. however, ballerina goes on smoothly in just 1 single coat so just build up for more opacity if desired. speechlessly gorgeous. i also got pirate, an exciting red. both stay on for a week with very minimal chipping at the corners of the index fingers. thumbs and other nails stay chipfree for at least 8 days. love love love!

So funny, after dinner I went to find a new shade to apply and I couldn’t decide so I put a different polish on each nail to see how each looked. Starting from my left hand, little finger: Zoya Sailor Zoya Neve, OPI Madame President, OPI Chick Flick Cherry, Sally Hansen Gel V-Amplified.
Right hand from thumb: All Essie brand: Island Hopping, Play Date, Turquoise & Caicos, Bikini So Teeny and Chinchilly. I’ve decided on Island Hopping to wear next and to declutter Neve, Bikini So Teeny and V-Amplified. (Not that anyone should care but this is my first step in purging my out of control polish collection ??.)

I don’t do manicures, just pedicures, and I always do a different “theme” for each foot. I can’t remember the polish names, but on my left foot I have a bright berry polish on my big toe with a cute-ified black and white skull and crossbones water sticker, and neon chartreuse on my smaller toes; right foot has a warm red sparkly big toe with white flower stickers and matte black small toes.

I always have my nails done. If not, they peel and I end up nipping at them, not biting per se, without even realizing I’m doing it.
I have gel polish on (no name only a number from the salon).
Last week I amped them up with a bold (almost neon) pinky-coral (coral being the colour of the season, after all) topped with unichrome, which is a powder that turns them into a duochrome. They are something to behold: reflective coral-pink from some angles, and yellowish-gold from others.

I used to change my nail polish every three days, did them myself, had a huge collection. Took nail supplements– the whole thing. I gave a lot of it away, literally put boxes of it out on the street, but I still have a good deal left. Chanel, Dior, Dance Legend– but then I got into the natural brands. Kure Bazaar is my favorite. And I have those in the most basic colors I wear– nudes, off white, a deep red, navy, old gold. But I find when I use the polish, my nails seem to break more, so it’s more rare that I use it. Still pedicure season will soon be upon us, so I’m thinking to begin with a really bright royal blue Dior polish. And when my skin gets a little more than totally pale, probably one of those pale blues.

Nothing right now, too, which is so weird! I’ve been on a stretch of 4 months of exercising and washing my hair and cooking and doing so many dishes, so my nails take a beating and I can’t handle a single chip in my nail polish, lol. Thus, no nail polish currently!
