A pale pink or nude-I’m too busy eating to worry about my lipstick, LOL! I remove my lipstick before eating/drinking, so I need something that goes on/comes off with ease. One of my biggest pet peeves is lipstick left on a glass/napkin/utensil…

I used to be word about my lip balm showing on glasses, I never thought about colored lipstick! I live with permanent deep plum/berry lips year round! Even if it leaves a mark, it’s your mark, so it’s beautiful. Aren’t ladies expected to have that? 😀 I envy thst you can wear pale shades! Maybe embrace your natural pale hue and just use a balm and you won’t have to worry at all! Already beautiful! Cheers! <3

I worked many years as a waitress, and several restaurants were very high-traffic, so many glasses & utensils would slip past the doshwasher/busser/waitstaff, and end up on a table-which would result in a negative efgect not only on our tips (you’d be surprised at how many people will look to *any* excuse to not tip…), but on the experience of the diner. My very first waitressing job was at a very famous all-night diner on the Sunset Strip, and we’d often get slammed after the bars, all at once, so little thing would sometimes get past us. As a result, I’m probably the most conscientious diner you’d ever meet-I pre-bus my own table, wipe my own table, etc.., LOL!

My lips are actually quite pigmented, and wearing pale colors does take some work, with the exception of some formulas. Lip liners help quite a bit, particularly the less expensive ones!

Kat Von D. Adora – I love how it is the perfect, bright Christmassy red with metallic shimmer. And it wears like iron on me. I looked high and low for a neutral red for the holidays that didn’t turn pink on me and am so happy I finally got Adora! 🙂

I have MAC’s Kinky Boots lipglass! ^_^ ! I forgot!!! I’m definitely going to work with that one next! 😀 I’m sure you’re dazzling like red sequins! Happy Holidays, lightbulb!:D 😛 xoxo!

YSL Volupte Tint-In-Oil in #5 Cherry my Cherie! It creates a very deep yet bright and healthy plump Oxblood blue based Red on me! Finally!!!! I can “wear” a dark color without the mess or garishness! Wow! Next I’ll get the Orange for a deep yellow/red! These are INTENSE on pigmented lips and I figured that maybe mine won’t be affected… I’m definitely getting the Undressed one! That will be very day appropriate! And the Gold, to mute and sparkle! Then I may mix the cherry, orange and gold in layers for a festive lip! 😛 (FOUND MY OXBLOOD!) 😀

Aww!! *Hugs* You are SO sweet! Thank you so very much! Long ago before I had the incident which makese sick often, I was always wearing different lippies and my favorites were deep burgundies/reds and purples! It’s taken me nearly a decade for me to really have a vested interest in lippies again! Yes, I’ve bought ones that are safe throughout the years, but coming to Temptalia has really made me inspired to get back to the craft and have more fun with my lips again! But.. I’m older, lips are different, and I have been failing when trying to find the right formulas to produce the color or effect I want. So this YSL oil one really makes me happy! 😀 And it is just so kind of you to say that because I feel more empowered and blessed with the decision! 😀 Plus, it makes me looks more healthy than I am, and my eyes lean Aqua/sea foam gray/blue with that color, so it is a wonderful “welcome home” for my lips! Apparently others have said and showed their lips still very pale, but say layers increase and deepen the hue if you wait and apply, no lip grossness. So I’m sure pale lips can reapply and find something close! :* Muah! <3 🙂

This blog is so great. It and a few others have helped me update my makeup collection a lot. I had spent the most part of the last 20 years raising kids, and my hubby had a brain tumor for about half of that. So no time and not a lot of money because of medical bills. I was way out of the beauty loop. If not for fashion magazines and the internet, I would have been even worse off.

Reds or deep berry/wine.I don’t have one in particular. But,for Christmas dinner,I’ll probably do Rita Nar s audacious because they wear pretty well and the formula is comfortable.

It changes every year but it’s usually the traditional red lip. This year it’s the new Guerlain Rouge Parade. It’s quickly become one of my favourite reds and I just think it’s beautiful! Sometimes you can’t beat a good red lipstick. 😀
