We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Nothing specific. It just seems as if they reformulate tihings unnecessarily and do not redo the things they ought to have done. That sounds like a Congregational church prayer that my mum called The Prayer of Procrastination. Lol.

I’d like to see them bring back a few fabulous things they discontinued – the original Naked palette and those Afterglow blushes and highlighters! They should have stuck with those winners rather than scrapping such great stuff and replacing it with….nothing worth buying.

LOL, but yes, I’m absolutely serious. Several years ago and for all the previous years, they were truly a great, very innovative and interesting brand that was close to my heart. Now, though? Just painfully ready to pull the plug on them, with the exception of a few good lipsticks. Speaking of which; Urban Decay, why, pray tell, did you get rid of Notorious??? With no warning??? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’d love to see them return to their weirder, edgier roots. But at this point I’m not sure they can afford to. There are so many other brands like Melt who are doing edgier lines with more apparent success, and UD unfortunately became a household name because of a neutral palette.

Wow. Never thought of it that way, but so true. Naked 1 changed the course totally. Interesting that something so expressly neutral could change the course of the company and their identity. Diametrically opposite from what they meant to m/u fiends, to a skyrocket that spawned a million extensions. You nailed it. So many ‘Naked’ palettes following the first three were anything but naked, but there you go.

I’d love to go back to so many sheer and shimmer lipsticks. I loved so many of them and ran through them like mad because they were so easy to put on and go.

I would like UD to release excellent quality eyeshadows, just like they use to do. For my own personal preference, I would like them to do a new Naked palette of all the old favourites in their original formulas of neutral shades, including gems such as Smog, Toasted, Sin, Half Bake, YDK, and include Ember, Ambush, Radar, Mushroom, Verve and Pistol……

I miss Mushroom. I think I had it in the Book of Shadows vol 2.
I loved Books of Shadows. Volume 1 was my very first eyeshadow palette ever, with Midnight Cowboy, Goddess and Half Baked in it. Loved it. Would love again.

I miss the good old stuff. Apart from what has already been mentioned, 14 years ago they had an eyeliner in ‘Oil slick’. It was the only eyeliner I have ever finished. I loved the colour, an off-black with shimmer.

Ah, actually I’d love the old UD back. It was my first serious make-up love story and they have such a special place in my heart. I had used make-up before but UD made it fun and interesting for me and something I’d pay attention to.
