What would you love to see this holiday season?

I’d love to see more red lipstick with shimmer! I don’t know why shimmery red lipsticks aren’t more forthcoming during the holiday season. I really hope for a Celestial Divinity II (or similar) from Pat McGrath.

I would love to see brands focusing more on creating sets and beautiful limited / holiday edition for currently existing products of good quality, rather than pushing to have some new of poor quality (and yes, I am thinking a lot about Tarte and Too Faced 😅).
But I would also want to see some brands not release the same gift sets every year.

It would be fun for a brand to release sets targeted for specific events “Christmas with family”, “Friendsgiving”, “Winter Holiday in the Mountains”, “New Year’s Eve Party”, “New Year’s Eve at Home” (and that to be a skincare set).

Same thing I’ve been wanting for awhile: cool toned eyeshadow palettes that aren’t strictly brown/gray neutrals from my favorite brands like SG and ND. I would also love to see ND release some palettes with fewer eyeshadows in them, say 9 pans, in the midi/mini pan sizes.

I’m with you! Red lipstick with shimmer. And may I add, really beautiful casings for lipsticks. I mean gorgeous tubes! I’m going waaaay back but I had some Helena Rubinstein lipsticks in the most beautiful tube/case. Silver with some gold and a swirl. For years after she left the U.S. I would dig out my other lipsticks and fit them in…after years they had seen better days. A beautiful shimmer red in a gorgeous case! ♥️

I miss that as well. I don’t however wish to pay the silly prices for the current versions. I agree though, a blue red shimmery metallic in a gorgeous wintery themed case would be nice.

I’m basically waiting to see what Pat McGrath will do! A Celestial Divinity 2 would be wonderful! Otherwise, my collection is fairly full and there is nothing I am really that interested in this year. I bought makeup during the work-from-home part of the pandemic that I have yet to wear now that I’m back at the office (especially lipstick), so I have a backlog to work on!

I would love to see a genuine Autumn palette, without any reds or pinks – full of olive tones, an antique gold, a bronze, a cinnamon shade or two – no matte blacks or browns, in lovely soft shimmery or satin finishes. Dare I hope? Oh and accompanying lipsticks – spicy shades with creamy finishes, again not matte.

I don’t think there’s much of anything that I want to see. As I’ve said long ago, it would have to be some totally new technological makeup creation, like real hologram makeup or a makeup sheet that you put on your face and voilà, it’s done with everything in place. LOL!!! Perhaps still, the perfect blue-green-purple-silver; holiday palette by Natasha Denona or PMG. The Ninhydrin palette by Adept is heading in the right direction for me.
