For me too, it was the Jackie Ania palette! I hear it is similar to PML Midnight Sun. I cannot wait to purchase your Horizon palette to use with my Jackie palette. Plus, I saw I had some matte Sydney Grace singles. It would compliment these as well, including my Liaison palette.

Sugarpill’s collaboration with Trixie Mattel was really nice. The entire collection was wearable – Trixie did that!! – and it was fun. I also loved Bunny Meyer’s (grav3yardgirl) collaboration with Tarte back in the day. It was difficult decluttering the swamp family palette, I wanted to keep it for sentimental reasons, but my tastes have changed and I no longer reach for Tarte’s eyeshadow formula. I do remember not liking the lipsticks; I found them too whipped and slippery.

The MAC collaborations are numerous and I don’t feel like writing a novel, LOL!!

While not necessarily my cup of tea, Bunny’s collaboration with Tarte looked great at that time. I even remember when she did the alligator hairdryer collaboration. 😅 I always wondered why she didn’t have more opportunities to collaborate with brands, I would totally see her working with an indie brand.

I really loved the ColourPop x Safiya lipsticks! It was so awesome to be able to actually buy approximations of the mega lipsticks that she made with her melting shenanigans. It was a nice touch to have bats all over the tubes and bullets, too. I think that’s the collab that’s made the most sense to me.

I’m not entirely sure. This perhaps sounds catty, but it is not intended in that fashion whatsoever.. merely stating my buying habits. I typically do not buy collabs because I do not feel I want to fund the people they represent. Same goes for celeb brands too. I’m certain there is something in there I have participated in without having the vaguest clue who the collab was with. I’m not on social media (no FB, no Instagram) much and most definitely not plugged in. The constant drama turned me off. Temptalia is my beauty fix and I will watch Mel, Goss, Jackie A. on occasion, and that is pretty much the extent of it.

YUP – pretty much what you said, Wednesday! Like you, I’m not involved in social media by choice and many of the people who’ve been involved with collaborations aren’t people I admire or would want to support. That will certainly all change this Friday (assuming I can get online to order…)

Agreed. I would not put my middle initial on SM. Zero, unless you count OG muse and Temptalia. Radar? What radar? My fave collab is Rocky Horror, though I’m not much of a MAC fan. Not only are the colors and theme fun, but I had a sign out/sneak out of work car adventure. Even used Crazed Imagination blush the other day.

I’m a “vintage” woman, I miss old collaborations like Urban Decay and Gwen Stefani, MAC and Charlotte Olympia. I don’t remember a more recent collection that really impressed me.

But Temptalia collection collaboration with Sidney Grace deserves a honorable mention. 😁

Because I was one of the early signers of the petition to make it happen; MAC x Aaliyah. Those were the lip colors and eyeshadow shades she was known to wear on the regular. The only fail was that bronzer. Gosh, it just gives me a glow, but almost zero color!

Others that I’ve enjoyed immensely have been: MAC x Selena (both releases), ABH x Jackie Aina, and UD x Basquiat are all big favorites of mine that I actually own.

MAC x Aaliyah was one of my first makeup purchases. RIP Baby Girl. I like the Jackie Ana palette and I’m picking up ONE (so says my wallet) of the Temptalia palettes but I avoid most collabs. I like permanent products because I want to be able to repurchase if they work!!

I Love Urban Decay, I Love Prince and I Love Purple. So I really do LOVE the Prince Collection. I am sure he would have been proud of it. I didn’t purchase the vault because I didn’t need or want all of the items, but I did get the two eyeshadow palettes and the setting powder. They are beautiful!!!

MAC x BROOKE SHIELDS I forgot about that collection until you mentioned it! Wow, that was a well thought out, beautiful collection. MAC used to do makeup well, it’s really sad they’re just average anymore.

I love the Kaleidos Angelika Nyqvist Club Nebula palette. It’s adventurous and pushes me out of my comfort zone and the quality is great. I also like the Ofra Samantha March collabs although I don’t prefer Ofra’s eyeshadow formula. Finally I liked the Makeup Revolution Emily Noel collab. Good solid color story and very wearable.

I don’t own too many of the items (a few lipsticks and eyeshadows, maybe a highlighter, from the Premiere series), but as a Disnerd, I have a soft spot for the various iterations of ColourPop x Disney Designer!

Another vote for the Kaleidos x Angelica Nyqvist Club Nebula and Shroud Cosmetics x Beautbean It’s Freaking Bats. Plus the Sydney Grace x Mel Thompson Tiny Marvels! I’ve never been as excited for a collab as I have for Sydney Grace x Temptalia, though–my favorite reviewer _plus_ my favorite brand! <3

100% agree. Jackie Aina’s palette is hands down the best pallette I own with regards to quality and color concept. The eyeshadows have no fallout and the pigment is out of this world. Since I bought it I cannot put it down. I even prefer it to my PMG pallettes that I adore.
