I was really excited to try was Guerlain Meteorite Pearls, which ended up disappointing me. A couple others that I was excited about were Dior Hologlam Blush and MAC Soar lipstick, both of which I like a lot, though I wish Soar was their Satin formula instead of Matte.

I didn’t get the meteorites at first, either. For decades! I think I was always looking for something that made a bigger impact. Believe I only started to appreciate them well over age 60. Idk if this blog sharpened my eye towards more subtle products, or what. Now I use them virtually every time I use m/u. Still working on the original box from 1987, which has changed only in that the pearls are more fragile. If a sphere pops out, it breaks. No scent diminution or color change. Somehow, i grew (aged?) into them. A puzzlement.

I think you might be on to something kjh because I came to appreciate them as I aged. I am 65 and they are pretty much my daily finishing powder. I can’t say I use them daily because I am a bit of a finishing powder junkie but I always come back to my beloved pearls. I use them as a last step, well before mist, to buff my skin and meld all of the products together. They leave a faint glow behind but nothing sparkly or shimmery. I also love the scent which undoubtedly dates me but the smell of violets reminds me of my grandmother.

I agree with kjh that when you first use them you are looking for some obvious glow or something and they are much more subtle than that. I use a big fluffy brush and really buff it into my skin. It just kind of makes my foundation, blush, highlighter and bronzer or contour just come together and appear more harmonious. Some people shake the tin to break up the balls a little and make them more powdery. I don’t do that and find that I have no trouble picking them up onto my brush. If I do want more “powder” than what I pick up by running my brush over the top of the balls, I find that there is always enough powder dust at the bottom of the tin and I can just pick it up easily. I am not sure they are everyone’s cup of tea but they don’t exaggerate my texture, mess with my base or add glitter to my face. They just make me look healthier and make my skin look better than it actually is, LOL!

The last 2 products I stalked and couldn’t wait to grab were MAC’s Boom Boom Bloom pink highlighter and Smashbox’s Hoodwitch highlighter. For packaging/collecting mostly! Neither came to Sephora Canada so $$ stays with me!

Linda, Smashbox’s Hoodwitch highlighter is available on Smashbox CA and they currently have 20% off the entire order. MAC’s highlighters (both pink and gold) are available at Hudson’s Bay. That is if you want to buy them from some other place than Sephora CA :).

Probably the Tarteist Pro Remix Pro palette (all those “Pro’s” in the name – goodness!). I was just so excited after seeing it here. Of course, now I’m all fired up for UD’s Lannister Gold and The Night King liners and the Game of Thrones e/s palette.

I was really excited to get the Emme Cosmetics Spring Garden e/s palette. I have only used it once since receiving and so far I like it. I was really excited to try the Marc Jacobs See-Quinns after watching Karimma’s YT video where she did eye looks with each of them. I did run out and purchase every single one of them and I have no regrets. A couple of the shades I won’t likely use much but the majority are shades I would use everyday, they are super sparkly and last all day. Love them.

Several things immediately come to mind: MAC Framboise Moi lipstick and Cherry Mochi Lipglass (did not disappoint!), ND Mini Diamond & Glow duo (again, perfection!), Viseart Coy palette (?), Huda Beauty New Nude Palette (love it, but reach for it less than I was expecting?), Lancome Cils Booster lash primer (yeah, baby!), and every single PMG item I bought…(mostly I love them, but two of the sparky glitter shades in Bronze Seduction are a pain to apply and so much fallout, too).

The Too Faced Natural Lust Palette. When I saw how beautiful it was in person, I immediately tried every single color and I love the whole thing!

I got my hands on the ColourPop x Disney Villains collection to swatch before my manager that shift even finished setting up the display table, ha ha. I ended up buying a few things from CP directly. However, and my GM would attest to this, I was practically champing at the bit last summer waiting for us the get the fall lip glosses from Anastasia. Once we did, I bought two and received one as gratis: Sunscape, Freya, and Estella. Mmm, shimmery lips.

I’m so glad it worked for you. It didn’t work for me but they were very accommodating about refunding. Did you manage to get that “coquettishly feathered” fluffy lash look?

Blue blood by Jeffree starr cosmetics..
Love or hate him but you must admit his shadows are on point in every palette!
As expected it is quite lovely..colors pop transition shades perfect… I’m finding I can do several looks from one palette with out reaching for extra shades it’s all there! This is a keeper!!

I’d been so curious to try Stila highlighters, especially Kitten, and it was very nice, but an identical colour and shine to BB Pink Glow, which I have and love love love, so fortunately for me I didn’t have to buy Stila’s 😉

Melt Smoke Sessions! I can’t remember the last time I was so excited about an eyeshadow palette…. like, it may have actually been YEARS. So far I’ve only played with it once and I’m so impressed that the shadows have that creamy foiled feel AND they apply wonderfully with a brush. Usually I have to use fingers or a sponge applicator to get good payoff with other similar formulas.
