Prada Infusion d’Iris (it’s been discontinued for some time, which is a real shame) – I just spritzed some on now and I’m leaving for the gym in 5 minutes. It’s a nice, inoffensive scent so I can wear it to the gym without giving anyone a headache!

I’ll have to look at The Bay if I’m ever in there again (!). I once got a fantastic gift set that included the shower gel and a body lotion. I treasure that shower gel and I’d love to find that again. Maybe at the holiday season they’ll have similar gift sets. Glad to know they still have it – I thought Prada had d/c’d it entirely for some nonsensical reason.

Winners sometimes gets a gift set or two around the holidays. Anytime I have gone back for one, it was gone. Keep an eye out. Only the higher end Bay stores will have the perfume. I think next week is the President’s sale. In the past, it has included cosmetics at 10% discount.

YSL Black Opium, when I went for our anniversary dinner about a week and half ago. I’ve worn fragrance only two or three times since going on lockdown in March.

Clean Reserve Radiant Nectar.
Did NOT expect to like this– I tend to go for bitter, deep woody and green scents.
I got a sample of this and got so addicted I bought the large bottle!

It’s unique. Think euphoric blackcurrant/berry overtone with a hint of jasmine that dries straight out to animalic musk. Pure sex. I just put on a spritz and can’t stop smelling it!

Today it’s Aerin Iris Meadow. I have been rotating my fragrances a lot lately so I can test my sense of smell every morning before work. Of course, wearing a mask means I don’t get to really smell it as the day goes on.

I put on Acqua di Parma’s Fico di Amalfi after i shower, but it’s a light scent and fades midday, so I then put on Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door. I’ve had the Red Door bottles for ages – an old boyfriend loved it, but it’s a strong scent so I’ve just started to use it as we slide into Fall.

Today is overcast, hot, and humid. I’m really not complaining, as the west coast and southwest are a conflagration, and that poses an even more dangerous and immediate threat to residents than Covid. The grammar is probably off, but hopefully the sentiment is not. I’m finishing up a quart bottle of 4711, and have decided not to repurchase any scents, due to my age. Mariella, I’ve had to bid farewell to Jicky.

I have been having a love affair lately with YSL Libre. I just had to get Libre Intense and have been wearing it the past two days.

I usually enjoy classics from Chanel or Guerlain, but YSL did a great job with this one. I like the way it warms up on my skin and the drydown is long lasting and gorgeous. The bottle is so beautiful. My husband loves it.

L’eau D’Issey by Issey Miyaki
One of my favorite scents and it is a standing gift from my daughter every year. I go through about a bottle a year. It is a citrus, floral, woodsy, oriental scent and is very light. I think it has a very sophisticated scent. Definitely not overwhelming. It screams spring/summer to me but I do occasionally wear it throughout the year.

It is one of those scents that is difficult to pin down exactly what the notes are because they blend so beautifully together. I don’t personally like over powering scents. I prefer something light.

Valentino Valentina-I only have a tiny bit of this left and I am trying to use it up. I wore it when I got home from work last night. Fragrance free workplace. Not sure if I would repurchase but I do like it.

Yesterday I wore Frank Boclet’s Vanille. Happy I got compliments which was a bit puzzling since they were wearing a masks. Notes include vanilla, citrus and caramel and musk. A pretty gourmand scent. I wear perfume and makeup just about everyday.

I got a few Le Labo city exclusive samples and have been wearing Cuir/Dubai and Poivre/London all the time since they arrived.

L’ombre Dans L’eau by Diptyque. Fairly new purchase. It’s an energetic, slightly cooling, unique chypre that seems perfect for moving from summer into fall. And mood-lifting to breathe in something other than smoke and ash from the Nor Cal blazes. Had never asked myself before …Hmmm what would be a good scent to wear while surrounded by fires?

Lancome Idole. I don’t usually wear fragrance that is heavy on advertising but I got a sample and…I couldn’t help but like it. It’s a very pleasing floral with some sweet pear.

I love fragrance so much .. I was wearing mostly Tom Ford fragrances last year – Cafe Rose being my favorite. This year I have discovered maison francis kurkdjian. Gone a little crazy and bought feminine plural , a la rose. Oud satin mood, Oud silk mood and baccarat rouge! I rotate these with my Maison Lancôme Oud Bouquet . I’m also majorly into body wash current fave is Crabtree Evelyn Rose –
