Lorac Mega Pro 3!
I finally got to wear some eye makeup today! But it wasn’t a palette, just some CP Supershock Eyeshadows in Truth and Seeker, plus, MAC Superwatt.
When I first knew I had shingles, I believe I had been wearing MUFE Nudes You Need. It’s when I took it off that night that I knew for sure what was going on!
Oh, I hope you have a speedy recovery. My daughter caught it right when it started. They put her on the meds and she only got a rash not the blisters. The pain isn’t as bad as it was at first and that was 4 weeks ago. She was able to work part-time from home so that she could rest and I am sure that helped a lot in her recovery. Take it easy and don’t push yourself.
Thank you so much, Brenda! I am very glad and encouraged to hear that your daughter is getting better. It does take awhile, it seems. Mine did blister, strangely enough, a day after beginning the Valtrex! My skin is only recently looking halfway decent. All the blisters have healed, but the skin still hurts. And then there’s that post-herpatic fatigue….oh boy!
Nancy, I wish you a speedy recovery.
Kat Von D Pastel Goth. I really like this palette and plan to use it a lot this summer.
I find it so hard to use colour these days. Once I bought the original UD Naked when it came out, I lost my ability to feel confident in applying and wearing colours. Which colours are your fav from the pastel goth palette? Do you use everyday or nights etc? Thanks
Try some color on your eyes at home when you have time to experiment Sophie.
I wear color anytime of day, brightens my face.I use my Pastel Goth palette about once a week in rotation with my other palettes. It’s very easy to wear since you can sheer the shadows out or wear full intensity. I wore the turquoise shadow on the lid. And added my KVD Shade and Light palette to contour. I highlighted with the Moon child palette.
I used it twice this week with the Alchemist palette. I love mixing the two.
Urban Decay x Basquiet Gold Griot
Oh wow, thats the exact same palette I used today! Then again, Paris Nudes is my most used palette 😀
I have that palette and think it’s gorgeous! but sometimes I feel I can’t use it too much because I don’t have enough imagination… can you share your preferred combos with Paris Nudes? ??? Thanks!!
Of course! Most of the time, I just use any colour as an all over lid shade and call it a day. The shades all have a desaturated look that makes it so that they easily blend in and give your eye a stained satiny look.
But more complex looks are definitely possible! My favourite combinations:
– The 1st colour in the 1st row (pink) on the lid, and the 2nd colour in the 1st row (gold/white) in the inner corner for a spring-time look. Sometimes I’ll use deeper purple hues in the palette to deepen my socket or in the lash-line for some more impact.
– For an earthy look, I like using the last colour in the 2nd row (khaki) with the 2nd colour in the 2nd row (copper). Any placement looks nice with this combo, in my opinion.
– for a sultry Parisan look, I like using the last colour in the 4th row (blueish) all over the lid and lash-line with the 3rd colour in the 1st row in the inner corner. (A YouTuber called Jessi Doll has a great tutorial demonstrating a similar look with this palette!).
Honestly, I feel like most colour combinations can work with this palette, but those are my top 3 🙂
Thanks a lot Mariam!!! Those are great ideas that I will definitely try!
No problem, glad to help!
Smashbox Double Exposure
Dose of Colors Marvelous Mauves!
Too Faced Vegasnay palette, my favourite 🙂
Urban Decay Naked2 Basics
I used this palette last, too.
Lorac Mega Pro 3! I’m working on panning it right now. Love how neutral but versatile at the same time it is.
Morphe 35E!
The last palette I used is Huda Beauty Eyeshadow palette in Rose Gold. It is the newest member of my palette family and I will probably use it exclusively for about a month. That’s how it goes usually when I get a new palette. Lol
Anastasia “Mario” palette. While it’s not the perfect palette, it’s pretty darned close and I wish they’d make it permanent. It seems far more widely wearable than the Modern Renaissance one, which does seem to be permanent.
Probably bc it’s a collaboration palette. I found it too dull to purchase and I have eyeshadows from other brands that are better so it’s not a must have for me. The Modern Renaissance is reaching HG. I’m glad they put something more unique as permanent than the same ol same ol everyone has dupes of a hundred times over!
Anastasia BH Modern Renaissance! I finally bought into the hype and it is SO worth it!!!
I use my customized MAC palette daily. Used it yesterday and plan on using it today. If we’re talking what premade palette, I used Too Faced Sweet Peach last week
Viseart Nuance. I’ve ben loving this palette, the one poor quality shade notwithstanding.
I grabbed my Viseart Cashmere Theory palette this morning. Very easy to wear!
Julia, thanks for the reminder about that little beauty. I have it and often mean to wear it but forget to. I think I’ll take it out tonight to put on the counter, ready to use.
Urban Decay Naked Smoky and it’s the final palette I’ll ever buy. It’s a good palette, but from now on, I’ll only pick and choose eyeshadow singles. Way too many shades in palettes that I don’t use.
Strictly speaking I rotate through 3 different palettes daily. Tarte showstopper, wet n wild comfort zone, and Tarte Tartiest pro!
UD ultimate basics in the reddy brown shade and the light yellow one (don’t use it enough to know the names, boo!) with a lighter, sparkly orange cast one from S/Pantone earth, air, fire, water. Add the Basquiat liner, and it’s great for blue eyes emphasis. That S has glitter fall out, though…
Tarte tarteist PRO to go Palette – testing this one out
I was playing around with makeup while watching Netflix. I suppose the last palette I use was Elf Mad for Matte but it was in conjunction with other stuff: Becca Champagne Pop on lid topped with a Shu Uemura pressed glitter.
Too Faced Chocolate Bar
Urban Decay Through the Looking Glass Palette. It’s actually my most used palette currently. I can make so many great looks with this palette. From everyday to artistic.
Yesterday I used Tom Ford Disco Dust (minus the glitter shade which I only use at night). I think today I’ll use a Clé de Peau duo but the morning is still young! LOL
Clinique Teddy Bear.
Today it is Chanel’s Jardins Eclatants!
Tarteist Pro. I purchased it when Tarte had a 30% sale. It has been sitting on my vanity unopened for a few months and I just got around to using it. I love it!
Viseart Bridal Satin. Used it already three times this week for a different look each time ?.
Love that palette! I take it when I travel it’s so versatile.
Revlon eye shadow quad in Addictive, which I think has been discontinued, but you can still order it from Amazon. It is a perfect set of semi-matte beiges and browns that are flattering for cool-toned fair-skinned ladies who don’t like intense eye shadows. I use ELF eyelid primer underneath to make it last all day.
I actually LOVE Addictive & some other of the Revlon quads, & I feel they are underrated! Great for the price!
Modern Renaissance, really obsessed with orangey-copper looks right now.
The Urban Decay x Jean-Michel Basquiat Gold Griot palette! I’m obsessed! Ugh, if only that transition shade was a little better quality, though… it’d be perfect. So stiff and underpigmented, especially compared to the other shades 🙁
BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel palette (original) and Too Faced Chocolate Bar. I used both today, but I didn’t use Chocolate Bar for its intended purpose – I used Milk Chocolate as a contour shade.
Liu Calligraphy Palette
Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita.
This morning I used UD nocturnal shadowbox and tartelette in bloom together. Just got he in bloom and I LOVE it. Could do without the scent (just got rid of my chocolate bar because that scent was too overwhelming!) but it’s within a tolerable intensity and hopefully will weaken over time. I personally would love that trend to fade away, I find it to be a turnoff and also kind of confusing.
The Nubian palette from Juvia’s Place this morning — so pretty. I have so many I’ve been rotating lately. I used Cargo’s You Had Me At Aloha yesterday (bought during Ulta’s recent sale), and Too Faced’s Peanut Butter & Jelly and Sweet Peach palettes earlier in the week.
I really want Saharan palette from Juvia’s place. Such a gorgeous and unique selection of colors. Very intrigued by this brand!
Juvias has released two blush palettes in the Saharan range and a eyeshadow palette named The Magic palette will be released soon. I love this brands quality and quantity!
Natasha Denona Palette 28. Never I thought i would spend that much for an eyeshadow palette but its been worth it
Viseart Bridal Satin and Warm Nudes (together in same look).
Zoeva Cocoa Blend, or Chanel Empreinte du Desert if quads qualify
I wore ABH Modern Renaissance. Today I might use either my Too Faces Chocolate Bon Bons palette or Tarte Rainforest of the Sea 2..
Hmm, I haven’t worn eye makeup in several weeks but I think the last true palette I used was when I traveled for work back in March. It was the Tarteist Pro to Go and fit pretty snugly in my carry-on bag.
Chanel Code Subtils, I have been wearing it constantly since I bought it, excellent colors, I pair it with Lancome Rouge Absolu Nu No 250 lipstick for a smoky eye nude lip look 🙂
Does NARS Thessalonique count?
Chanel Codes Subtils. So easy to get a subtly countered, eye-enhancing day look out of this palette. Every look I’ve tried it with it just works, including the look that takes about 3 minutes (dip brush in shades 1, 2 and 3, blend on lid and into crease, line your eye and done.) Great soft colors for hazel eyes.
Huda Beauty Eyeshadow Palette – Rose Gold Edition
UD Naked Ultimate Basics
It’s been awhile since I bought any powder eye shadow since I use cream shadow sticks now. Last one though was UD Naked 2.
Viaeart Petit Pro.
The UD Naked 3. I’m with Leslie who posted earlier . There are too many shades I don’t use to keep purchasing Palettes . Most have too many sparkly and glimmery shades for me . I’m sixty-ish so really trying hard to stick with mattes
I am trying to stay away from sparkle in palettes too. It’s so hard to do. Today I used UD Naked Basics. I love the coppery color one! Really makes blue eyes pop. Mixed it with some NYX something pale apricot and Mac Nylon with a pop of Mac Paradisco.
Viseart cashmere!
Anastasia BH Modern Renaissance! I finally bought into the hype and it is SO worth it!!!
Viseart eyeshadow palette warm neutral matts and Natasha Denona eyeshadow palette 5 in #4!
Too faced peanut butter and jelly palette! Iv used this palette quite a bit since I got it a month ago. Almost every day!
Garbo and Kelly Overnight Sensation
Urban Decay Naked Basics. I always go back to this palette and I did use it today. No fancy colours in it but I always get a nice look.
UD Naked 2 for neutrals
bareMinerals Soft and Smoky for colour.
Anastasia Modern Renaissance
Jouer Springtime in Paris palette, I did a light eye with a hint of pink in the middle. Christine I saw you did use the palette for photos, are you currently testing it, will you be reviewing it?
Anastasia BH Self Made Palette.
I’m trying to use several of my palettes before buying a new one. This week it’s the self made and tarte rainforest of the sea 1.
Chanel empreinte du desert! <3
I been experimenting with a few bronze, gold, peachy beautiful shades from Colourpop first time I order and tidaycwith a blue from WetnWild and another blue from LA Girl with a hint of purple such a pretty shade! They lasted to my surprise without primer.
Lorac Unzipped.
I was reaching for the MAC Warm Neutral x 15 palette when I noticed the Unzipped had slipped down next to it. I’ve been meaning to pull the Unzipped out, the last time I used it was last summer and today was the day!
I love both of those palettes, especially the Unzipped!!
UD Naked 1 – I always go back to this one!
ABH Modern Renaissance today.
Too Faced Modern Romance. I am really loving it!
Lorac Pro matte palette. Have hit pan in Latte.
I used two different palettes today, the Lorac Pro 3 and ABH Modern Ren.
The Bobbi Brown Luxe Pallette for $75. After receiving it and trying the colors, I threw everything I owned away, except for a dark blue which is not included in this 9 shade pallette.
The packaging is exquisite and the prettiest I’ve ever seen. The color payoff is wonderful, yet the way these colors work together is the finest these experienced hands have blended out in a very, very long time.
Of course I initially choked at the price. Then after studying the colors closely online, and BB does a very good job of showing an accurate smear of each color, I bit the bullet and am really glad I did.
BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette
I can’t recommend this palette enough. The shimmers work without a base, and the highlighters are beautiful.
I used Lorac Pro 2 today, but I’ve been using my old UD basics one the whole week as I had very busy days and that one is the one I always grab when I’m in a hurry!!!
I meant UD ‘naked’ basics one ☝?
The Balm cosmetics MatteTrimony! Love, love, love it!
I’ve been using Tarte Tartlette in Bloom and Too Faced Sweet Peach palettes together!
