Urban Decay’s Stay Naked Threesome in Naked. Blush, highlighter AND bronzer all in one pallette! Nars Blush in Orgasm with the highlighter in Albatross is a great combo as well.

I’m surprisingly thrilled with the HL Purrl from the Fenty foursome in the recent sale. In some light it looks wet only, and in other lights has a pink-gold shift. It looks good over warm blushes or even stand alone. No pore-sink, either. Took old Crazed Imagination (MAC Rocky Horror) out of the packaging ( I NEVER save outer package) and used a cool HL from Lottie London holographic haul. I love that quad. It’s cool, but not major icy. The colors look a bit offbeat, but they really aren’t. I like the LL better than the ABH, Nars, and Ofra, etc that I have. The LL blushes named after crush-boys were super, too. Think they’re d/c’d. Muse rec’d those and she was right.

Melt Queen Bee topped with Morning Star. If I’m just too dry for two powders I’ll grab a liquid goldy color (sephora’s house brand is fine) as my highlight. I am NOT a blush person at all. However I fell in love with Queen Bee from the swatches (and orange blush has been a thing for about a year now) and snagged it during one of their recent sales. Sooo glad I did. I’m obsessed with it. I have rosacea and super dry skin so blush of any kind and powder products on my face are “no-gos” and I rarely use them….but I actually get excited about putting on Queen Bee and plan my eyeshadow and lipstick around it – instead of the other way around, or skipping blush altogether.

Haus Labs Headrush Blush & Highlighter Duo in Rock n Rose/All Night and Bouquet/Ribbon. Highly pigmented, easy to apply, highlighters aren’t glittery. Very happy.

My all time fav which was suggested to me at the local Mac Store which has since closed is the blush Dainty and the mineralize blush fairly precious.

Fairly precious is a highlight on me. And a very shimmery blush.

I’ve been wearing dewy cream & liquid blushes for the past several months, so I’ve been pretty much skipping highlighter. However, today I paired NARS Lovejoy (a new addition to my collection), and Maldives. I applied Lovejoy in a sheer, blown out manner, extending it over my temples, and tapped Maldives onto the cheekbones. Maldives is a bit too deep for me when applied with a more “traditional” technique, but used as a more deliberately placed “topper”, I can make it work, since it uses the blush as a base.
