What was the last beauty product you finished?

Origins Ginzing moisturizer. I also parted ways with a Tatcha Pore perfecting Sunscreen, because it made my skin scaly (I don’t think it was hydrating enough) and no foundation worked well over it. I also had to say goodbye to Drunk Elephant’s Urban Defense since I could never get rid of the white cast it gave me!

Used up completely my Marc Jacobs highliner in brown out, Max Factor Masterpiece mascara, gingerbread kiss chapstick, , and loreal truematch foundation. It was an okay foundation but it did break down on me by the end of a 8 hr work day. I don’t have any products I’ve decluttered bc they didn’t work for me

It’s REALLY worth the splurge. I am still going strong on my bottle after purchasing it 6 months ago. It seems to have a bottomless supply. When you figure out how long it’ll last, the price nearly justifies itself.
That’s what I tell myself as I’m using it. LOL. Plus, it makes me feel really good while putting it on.

Well, I may possibly still have 1 or 2 last sweeps of that pan of MAC Orb that just doesn’t want to die….?

But gone gone? Still just my last jar of Origins GinZing Eye Cream and a tube of MAC Prep & Prime for Lips. Oh, and my most recent Benefit Roller Lash Mini went bad. Time to get another. Funny, all 3 (actually 4) are HG items for me.

I’ve actually finished up an unusual amount of products recently In the past week I’ve used up a pot of ColourPop eyeshadow in Tang (I hope they never discontinue this shade! It’s become a daily staple for me), and a tube of Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream. I’m almost out of my Vitamin C serum (TruSkin) as well.

That sucks about the Tatcha Pore Perfecting Sunscreen! I really love it, but I never really think of sunscreens as being targeted to address hydration. My moisturiser and serums take care of that! The last beauty product I finished was a By Terry Kohl Terrybly eyeliner, which isn’t surprising since I go through eyeliners and mascara faster than any other type of product by far. Leaving those aside, the last product I finished was RMS translucent “Un” Powder . I was pretty impressed I’d finished an entire loose powder! I bought a backup in advance but am currently using the By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder, which I like alot too.

I HATE drunk elephant’s sunscreen for the same reason and the weird glitter they put in it.

I can’t remember the last full sized skin product I used up but I just said goodbye to a bunch of mini cleansers and moisturizers I finally used.

And I used up a bottle of Christophe Robin blueberry shampoo, of which I replenished.

I don’t think I’ve finished anything more than a tube of toothpaste since this question was asked the last time! I did finish up a sample size of Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Cleanser, but I don’t think that really counts either. I have way too much “stuff”, which explains why I never finish anything. I should probably try a “Project 3 Pan” (I have 2 things that are “almost finished”; I should concentrate on finally finishing them and maybe one more product!)

SK-II cellumination leave in mask, for which I had back up ready. In terms of products I have tossed because they didn’t work for me — Murad Essential C Toner (made me break out), FAB glycolic scrub pads (too strong for my skin).

Biologique Recherche P50 1970. Never, in my more than 50 years, have I ever used a better skin care product. Period.

Wondered, though, why it went so fast. Found out my husband has been using it too, and loves it. He asked, “You getting more of that magic sh*t?” Had one in reserve already. 🙂

I think I am almost out of my Clinique Chubby Stick in Melon. Oh, and I finished my Natura Aquarela Concealer (it is very similar to the radiant creamy concealer from Nars, but it wears off quickly)

Ziwei Avatar

Fresh rose lip treatment. Will not repurchase. It just keeps exfoliating my lips and is not hydrating nearly enough. Bite agave lip mask is still the best.

Chanel Le Volume Mascara, MAC Strobe Liquid (the bottle, when they still had the liquid instead of cream), MAC lipstick Creme in Your Coffee, MAC Haute and Naughty mascara. Already have backups ready to go save for the Chanel Le Volume Mascara; I didn’t care for it that much and found that for my lashes it was more clumpy than volumizing. Next mascara to use will be MAC In Extreme Dimension.

Clinique Brow Shaper in Soft Brown. I’ll never use another powder brow product! This one had terrible fallout, so I would end up with dirty streaks on my face throughout the day!

Glenda Avatar

The Ordinary Vitaminc C Suspension 23% with HA Spheres 2% (liked but didn’t love)
The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% (loved it)
Elemis ProCollagen Cleansing Balm (love this)
The Body Shop Camomille Cleansing Butter (love this)

Mine was Laura Geller baked foundation. I use a wet brush with it so it goes faster than if I used a dry brush. It still lasts a long time though. I get a much better coverage with the wet brush. I’m also about dry brush with my Dior blackout mascara. Replacements en route.

Flaky Avatar

Interesting about using the Laura Gellar foundation wet, i. Eli eve I have one languishing in a drawer somewhere because I didn’t care for it. I’m going to try using it that way & see if I get bette results. Thank you!

Bon Bon Avatar

I love my Laura Geller foundation and baked blushes. I put the blushes on dry. I read somewhere years ago you could use it wet or dry. I’m sure you’ll have a new found love once you try it wet. Circular strokes to avoid streaking. Not too wet. I just wet the end tips of my brush. Good luck.

Recently finished a couple sample sized items that came in my Play Box from Sephora. The new Tarte facial exfoliator that is in stick form and Skin Inc skin peeling (that is not the name) so frustrated when they put an item in the box but fail to let you know it is online only. 🙁

Paulas choice super light SPF, soo amazing you don’t get oily and can slather enough to get as much sun protection as you need. Plus it has antioxidants, this stuff is amazing

Anne Avatar

I finished a Clinique Lower Lash Mascara – a staple, so I already have another.

I threw out a barely used, gritty MAC blush with no virtually no pigment but plenty of annoying little sparkles that I bought 5 years ago and wish I had returned the next day. I’ve given up on MAC. I now own exactly one of their products, the #227 brush.

Flaky Avatar

Clinique Beyond Perfect foundation – which I did not care for in the least. I forced myself to use it up as penance for falling for YouTube hype! It could not sit worse on my skin & oxidizes.

I’m very close to finishing a Chanel Illusion d’Ombre – can you believe it? I will save the little glass jar as my trophy!

VAL MARTIN Avatar

Decleor Hydra Floral BB cream sample tube. I got this in a beauty advent calendar. It was the wrong shade for me however I always wore Laura Geller Balance and Brighten on top. Might repurchase in a lighter shade.

Brenda Peterson Avatar

The last product I finished was YSL Touché Eclat but I’m almost out of my RoC multi correction night cream. Will be picking up my 3rd jar this week.

Lena Avatar

Currently in the process of switching to all cruelty free cosmetics. It was really hard to let a lot of my products go, but I’ve found awesome replacements from cruelty free companies and feel so much better about supporting beauty brands with a conscience.

Erin Avatar

I finished a lot of things recently: a Tarte gifted mascara, several skincare items from Sunday Riley and Fresh, and earlier this winter another pan of Stila Kitten and Chanel Le Volume. I’ve also finished several shampoos and conditioners from Giovanni and John Masters recently too! I’m close to finishing Urban Decay Perversion and it won’t be repurchased.

Maybelline instant age rewind concealer. I hate running out without a backup!! Idk what it’s like where any of you live but it’s like Fight Club trying to score some here. It’s like we all know we can order it online but we forgot and now WTH are supposed to do until it gets here?? :::Tapping foot w/angry look::: exactly. So it’s drugstore marathon time and it’s truly a marathon because you know it’s going to take half the dang day and half a tank of gas to find one in stock and you had to Jedi mind trick another woman to snag it first “This is not the concealer you are looking for “. Wow I felt some real feelings writing that lol but it’s true! I don’t know what strange magic they put in that stuff but it’s definitely there! But I ordered a backup this time. ?
I finished another Kevyn Aucoin the Volume mascara.
And last but not least -I even cut open the container to get all of it – thebalm’s put a lid on it eyeshadow primer

Olay Total Effects (Short version: “CC Cream.” The real name is too long to remember, but includes “with a touch of foundation”). I’ve been using it instead of foundation most of the time for a long while now, and I’m down to the last few desperate pumps of my 2nd bottle. The 3rd one is on the way in an Ulta order, thankfully.

Also, though I don’t know if this counts as a “beauty product,” I just finished a bottle of L’Occitaine Almond Shower Oil. I’d love to replace it, because it’s by far the best thing I’ve ever used in the shower for softening my skin and smelling delicious. But I need to wait for a good deal. As much as I love it, the stuff is very spendy for what amounts to a glorified body wash, and I have a hard time justifying it on my current budget.

A Cover Girl clean porcelain color foundation I though it was rather pinkish and it turned out excellent! Next will be Maybelline Fit Me also in porcelain such a barely there cover it lets my freckles show through while evening out skin tone. Really liking it! And a small bottle of vitamin e from Rite Aid. My new Cera Vé moisturizing is huge so it’ll take a month or so to finish will get second one! Noticing my skin lot more plumpy and smooth. Awesome!

Finished Tarte Sunguard. Loved it but very pricey. Also finished Boscia black thermal cleanser. Working on finishing Tarte lipped in energy noire.

I finished up my most used complexion productions again. The Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer in the brightener shade; I’ve gone through so many of these it’s not even funny. I also finished my powder foundation blend for fair skin; Tarte Double Duty powder in Fair Neutral and Sephora Collection Microsmooth Baked Foundation Powder in 05 Porcelain. I like them mixed together for the perfect natural shade match. A lot of powders intended for fair skin have a strong pink undertone, so I like the Sephora powder for adding just a hint of yellow back in to neutralize the pink. It’s so hard to find neutral powders!
