Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I listened to one of the books in that series (book 2 of the Harbinder Kaur mysteries. One of the readers is Nina Wadia, an actress (can we still use this term? or should I say “actor”?) who I adored in The Outlaws (she was the overly controlling mother of a daughter who’d been accepted to Oxford). I haven’t finished it yet because I found it more than a bit silly. I’m sure I’ll listen to it eventually or maybe try one of the other books in that series. I’m still working my way though the Ruth Galloway books, though. I’m not sure if I asked you this already but have you listened to the Icelandic series about a woman police sergeant named Gunhildur Gisladottir? When I read the 2nd book (all my local library had at the time), I became fascinated with Iceland and I’ve listened to most of the books in the series and enjoyed them. The writer is male and not Icelandic though fluent in Icelandic (he does the English translations of many Icelandic writers). I will check out Catherine Steadman – thanks for the rec. Oh – we’ve fallen in LOVE with the Netflix series Fisk. Have you seen it? It’s set in Melbourne and it is so funny, intelligent, relatable – so enjoyable. Fortunately, a 3rd series is coming at some point but the first 2 series are a delight.

I pick out 4 or 5 frags to wear for the month (one per day), according to the season/month. This year, for January 1, I wore the classic Ralph Lauren Romance, which smells like freshly washed hair and warm chamomile tea!

The new Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Pop. It was a gift and my first time trying a Marc Jacobs fragrance, and I’m absolutely loving it!

Most likely it was Maison Margiela’s By the fireplace. I was late to discover that perfume but I’m glad I did, because I love it so much.
