What product type do you hate using and hope is vastly improved soon?

I still find matte blush to be something I very rarely reach for as they’re not as blendable as ones with some pearl/shimmer to them, but I don’t think I’d say I really hate using them… just that they take more effort to use properly.

Eyeliners. Pretty please with a cherry on top, some higher power bring back MJB’s high-liners. Actually bring back the entire line. I MISS YOU SO MUCH IT HURTS, MARC!

As much as I loved the Highliners, I found they dried out SO quickly (recently I found Overt deeply discounted at Winners and I’m making a point of using it OFTEN so I can finish it before it becomes unusable). But I really loved (and still use) the skinny liners he made to line my upper waterline. Those didn’t dry out nearly as quickly and they stayed put, which was the most amazing thing about them. I’ve since found a similar product from Shiseido but it’s not nearly as nice. I miss his single shadows too – they were amazing.

I’ve read that MJB is coming back in about a year or so. If it’s as good as it was — or even better! — that would be great.

I HATE, HATE, HATE matte lipsticks/lip paints but I’d just be happy for them to disappear entirely! The other product is concealer. I need concealer for my under-eye dark circles and I’ve found a few quite good ones (of course, the best of them is no longer available) but I wish someone would invent the “perfect” concealer – something that covers dark circles well, doesn’t crease or go all claggy and dry/curdled looking and that, most of all (here’s the magic, impossible part) would give users the under-eye look of a 2 year old child!

I must agree on the concealers. I have stopped using concealer as it always makes my under eyes look a lot older than they do with just a little bit of whatever foundation I use.
It doesn’t matter what the brands promise, they all look quite horrid. I always us a little at a time, building if I must so I don’t think it’s me piling it on.

Well, considering that I have QUIT using eyeshadow primer and now use MUFE Aqua Resist jumbo waterproof pencils or even a very thin coat of Nyx JEP, Elf has good ones, too; I have to say eyeshadow primer. Make it truly hypoallergenic, please! Because I have tried so many, and finally figured out that my eyes are allergic to 99% of them. Nyx used to make a very good one that never made my eyes tear or itch. Actually 2, and both are DC’d!

Every product that’s in a packaging impossible / hard to recycle. I know the issue is not necessarily the cosmetic brands, it’s the make-up packaging manufacturers (which produce for many other industries). But cosmetic brands can make a push.
I mean make palettes and compacts easier to disassemble in separate materials, find a better solution for anything that comes in pumps and spray.
And I hate it takes a lot of documentation to identify how to dispose of cosmetic products. Yes… I can take them at Sephora, Ulta or Back to MAC or send them to Terracycle but I’m pretty sure they can’t even recycle / re-purpose most stuff.

What I would like to see is major HE brands get their mojo act back and bring out decent eyeshadows – I’m looking at you Dior, Tom Ford et al!
Seriously, I just wish brands would stop bring out dry matte looking lipsticks and bring out more creamy, hydrating ones not in that sick looking shades of nude and peach…..
