The SPF, thanks to the Sephora Sun Safety kit! I snagged the one from last year during Christmas so I had spent the first couple months of the year trying out SPF, and I’m enjoying the process again.
Gotta stay protected from the sun here in the sunshine state. 🙂

I agree with Christine, removing makeup is so enjoyable and almost as good as putting it on, LOL. I also really like masks and try to do them a couple of days a week. I am not sure they are doing anything but I like the whole feeling of pampering you get from putting on a mask and relaxing for 15 minutes. They are relatively inexpensive and so you can try a lot of different ones for little money, unlike a lot of other skin care products. Lately I have been using a Freeman mask for hydration and brightening on my hands at bedtime. I find that one mask will be enough for 5-6 nights and I just leave it on all night.

It’s not part of my everyday routine, but I LOVE a good mask. I can’t do them as often because of the neuropathy in my hands and such, but it’s my ultimate pamper go-to as I don’t have a decent bathtub for a bath. If we’re going with everyday routine, probably my morning serum (the FAB Hydrating Serum), as it’s super hydrating and feels like I’m dunking my face in water.

OMG, the new facial massage head that comes with the new Clarisonic Smart Profile Uplift. It practically puts me in a trance, helps serums penetrate better and I swear it actually does lift the facial and neck contours. Nirvana!!

I love all of it. The skin on the face loves to be touched, so every part of the process feels good to me. As you may have read, I love the P50 1970 balancing toner. That gives the skin a great surface for the rest of the process. After the zing of that product, adding serum and moisturizer with a bit of massage is such a lovely feeling 2x day.

I also really enjoy the feeling of taking off mascara at the end of the day.

In the warmer weather, I love washing my face (morning or evening) with a cleanser that feels and smells really refreshing and then applying an essence or toner that is gentle but with the same “wake up” properties. A fresh facial mist is another thing I enjoy a lot at the end of the day. In winter, it’s probably applying a facial oil and/or a sleeping mask like Shiseido’s.

Sheet masks. I only use them when hubby is away for the evening, and I don’t do anything other than relax while I have one on. I often doze off.

Seeing my skin glowing after layering on vitamin c serum and one of my favorite moisturizers. I usually pause at this moment and wonder if I really want to cover my clean, shining skin with foundation.

The finished product- the final result, when I’ve cleansed and double cleansed, exfoliated, masked, serumed, hydrated…it’s all done…dang that’s a great feeling!!!

In the evening after I wash my face. I spray it with Caudalie Elixir, the smell is divine, it instantly relaxes me and prepares me for the rest of my routine, I actually crave the smell of it and can’t wait to use it every night. It can also be used before and after you put your makeup on but I reserve it for my evening routine.

I agree with you Christine. I feel great after removing my makeup.I love LaMer facial cleansers. I especially their foaming cleanser and their masks. My face feels so fresh and new after I cleanse my skin. I don’t know how anyone can sleep with make up on???? I need a clean face when I go to sleep and wake up with new skin.

I love removing my makeup. I don’t wear makeup every day. I do enjoy applying it when my foundation looks nice which isn’t always the case but I love removing it and having a clean face. If I didn’t feel the need to wear makeup I would still wear it because I do enjoy wearing it but I enjoy more so having a clean face.

Masks & exfoliating.
I think it’s the immediate gratification of both.
Granted I think most masks are glycerin, water, and a few active ingredients in ineffectual amounts. That being said I love the way my skin looks and feels so plumped and hydrated immediately after using.
Same thing for exfoliation. I use the Acure Brightening Facial Scrub in the shower every morning because I love the lemongrass scent and the way it perks up my dull, dry skin.

I remove my makeup with Tatcha cleansing oil. The delicate spa like smell, the silky texture, and, ultimately, the efficacy, leave my skin feeling like satin. I love the few calming “me” minutes at the end of the day as I lightly massage it over my skin.

Moisturizing masks are also right up there when it comes to pampering but I don’t have much time for them. I like to apply the mask, lie down in a darkened room and listen to some soothing classical music for about 20-30 minutes. It’s so restorative.

I kinda feel like I’m cheating on my Dr Jart Ceramidin cream because it’s heaven on my super dry skin but since I discovered the wonder that is Josie Maran Argan Milk it’s sooo good. The feeling is so soothing, I look forward to that step.
Like most of you nothing beats a good cleanse but the water here is so hard it’s rough on my skin and I feel like I’m the only one….this is so embarrassing…. I HATE rinsing because I always end up a wet shirt or nightgown and I pull my hair back but pieces fall out and get wet. I can’t believe I’m confessing this! This is my safe space ? Please don’t mock my weird water splash aversion!

I used to really hate removing makeup/washing my face because nothing I used was effective, and I couldn’t seem to avoid stripping my skin to get all the makeup off. Even when I went a day without makeup, cleansers either left me feeling greasy (creams), irritated, or dry. Now that I massage my face with virgin coconut oil before using a cleanser, my cleanser works like a dream, and I like the whole process. Yay! And to be honest, massaging my face with oil is such a wonderful feeling, I’ll do it even when I have no makeup to remove — my skin feels so smooth and soft under my fingers when I’m doing it!

i most enjoy how my olfactory sense is engaged during my morning or night routines. while i dont purposely buy items which are fragranced, i use a lot of oils and mists which are naturally fragranced by essential oils or distilled rose/neroli etc. it’s such a nice moment for myself to breathe in my palms before applying them to my face. even some makeup removers like the aurelia probiotic one smells divine and takes away the chore-feeling one may get from removing makeup.

I love putting on my Cera Vé facial moisturizer. Also La Bella rose hip oil love the smell. Enjoy wearing a light bronzer & highliters. But taking a nice relaxing shower beats all of them and follow with nice scented oils or creams!
