I was bare faced until my ND Mini Glam arrived and then I did a super quick one brush eye look to see how the colours worked on me… I’m getting over flu. Yes, It was a rousing Netflxy kinda night (mind bending French series called Twice Upon a Time, conveniently 4 episodes long), so I did stay awake to ring in the New Year by hanging my new Ansel Adams art calendar. I buy one every year, and a Group of Seven (to pay homage to my first exposure to fine art) Happy New Year, Temptaliaites!!!

Aww, thanks for reminding me I need to find calendars and Ansel Adams was 1 of my 1st favorites also. Something about the sliced egg 1 and a winter tree in black & white was so calming.

Even though I don’t celebrate, I did have to go out yesterday to get a few things from Target, Ulta and Old Navy, so I did finally get to use my PMG Dark Galaxy Palette and Deep Orchid MatteTrance Lipstick! It turned out so pretty….and then the tearing began. Look was a mess by the time I got back home 4 hours later. ?‍♀️
But I did get to enjoy a grande Peppermint Mocha frappacino at Targey’s in-store Starbucks even though I looked the hot mess!

Nothing super crazy. I was wearing a light blue teddy-bear jacket and matching suede skirt so wanted a bit of light blue on my eyelids. I applied SG cream shadow Vibrant Madness on entire lower lid, then patted on the light blue powder color SG Hydra on middle of lid and SG Princess Pay Pay on outer part of lid. This is the first time I’ve applied a powder shadow on top of an SG cream shadow and it was quite lovely; the Hydra looked a bit green in certain lights because of Vibrant Madness color underneath.

I don’t recall the blush color or highlight colors I used. I did try a sample of La Mer Soft Fluid Longwear Foundation on parts of my face and it was super lovely with a light dusting of Fenty lavender powder on it. In fact, by the end of night I had decided to purchase the La Mer foundation soon.

No makeup makeup but a taupe glitter lip. I used MAC Stone lipstick as the base (I’m heartbroken it’s DC, totally in my top three MAC lipsticks with Ruby Woo and Velvet Teddy but harder to dupe in a bullet formula!) with LIT Theodora and Cher on top. It was really pretty, kind of like wearing silver disco ball lips but easier to pull off.

Happy New Year, everyone!

I wore a very old Too Faced eye palette called Sweet Dreams (from around 2010/2011) and threw a Pat silver on mid lid for glam, with falsies and a beaming highlighter combo (like 3 different ones lol). Pink-neutral lip, in anticipation of food and drinks.
I looked perrrrrrrty ?
Happy new year to everyone!!

Nothing. Skin care/masks, trying skinfood wash off black sugar, some sheets, multimasking. Big drinking group here, no surprise. My bevie of choice was decaf pumpkin spice tea. Binged Mrs. Maisel and snugged with the dogs. Altogether satisfying.

That sounds like heaven. I did something similar except I drank oolong tea and binged watched The Office with my sister while my baby was asleep.

Does moustache wax count? 😀 Now that I’m not accidentally shaving the ends off, I have enough length to get the classic twiddly curled up ends, so I went out and got a pot of a nicely-scented wax… and spent the entire afternoon hanging out with a friend obsessively checking my reflection and re-curling the stache! Ah, vanity…
If I’d stayed out until the evening I was thinking of putting on a bright sparkly lip colour, but I didn’t have the energy.

I had a more elaborate look in mind, but neither hubs nor myself felt like our original plan for the night was going to be the best fit. We still had to go out to the store to get some plastic totes and basic necessities, so I just wore a bit of foundation, Kiko’s winter baked blush in Perfect Rose, and ColourPop’s bright green liner. Nothing on the lips, since mine have been monstrously chapped. It isn’t even that cold here!!

Happy New Year, everyone!

My family went out for dinner on NYE – I was wearing CP’s Tea Thyme lipstick and my eye look consisted of using Lorac’s Pro Metals palette of Amber (I have just finished that glorious shade) and Graphite, with all my staples of foundation, blush, eye brow pencil, mascara and setting powder.
Like you Christine, it was all off by 9.30 pm.

Went to a 1920’s themed party, so went with flapper look. Soft smokey eye (Lorac Pro 2 Java – smudged and blended like crazy – and lots of black CoverGirl mascara), bright round rouged cheeks – and knees of course (ColourPop SS Cruel Intentions), Mary Kay brown-red lipstick, maybe called Midnight Red? Had to score a sample from my Mary Kay neighbor since I don’t own/wear lipstick. I’m a gloss kinda gal. Anyway, it was fun and matched my sequined flapper dress for a fun night out.

Nothing. I was home and not feeling well. The previous evening, hubby and I went out to dinner and a movie. I wore a purple smokey eye with a pop of bronze in the center, using the PML Dark Galaxy Palette. I wore Sydney Grace Paris Skies on my cheeks. I wore Tarte Throwback Lipstick in Pixie Stix on my lips. Face, browbone, and inner corner highlights were done with Baby Bar Beauty Pressed Highlighter in Unicorns & Rainbows.

I was really happy with my new year’s eve makeup. Midnight Swim from the Jouer Skinny Dip palette was the star of the show, with a few matte shadows from the It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Vol 1 palette in the crease. I forget what I ended up choosing for an inner corner highlight, but whatever it was was not the right choice, it had more of a cool shift than I had envisioned, but it really didn’t matter. I used the Glossier pro tip liquid eyeliner. I very rarely wear liquid liner, and this was easy and looked good. On my face I used the Sephora matte tinted moisturizer, CoverFx warm honey blush duo, and Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood flawless filter as a high point highlighter. Pat McGrath Flesh 4 lip gloss. I really felt fabulous, and I’m happy with pictures from the night. Happy New Year!

We just had a low-key night at our friends’ house. Not a party, just hanging out for a couple hours. Home by 10. So my makeup was very toned down and about as natural as I get. Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Cobblestone as a light wash in my crease, MAC Mineralize Blush in Sweet Enough, and Dior Addict Lip Glow in Pink.

The fading remnants of my makeup done before work after 11 hours and running to 2 grocery stores to find black eyed peas
Coconut oil followed by my nighttime serum routine (involving snail slime)
CBD lip balm cotton candy flavored;)
We stayed in and watched silly NYE celebrating on various channels as it was too cold and I don’t brave the roads unless I am invited somewhere fabulous i.e. not this year
