Volumizing mascara is my eternal quest. I must have tried every brand over the years. I don’t want length or waterproofing; I want thick lashes. If anyone out there has suggestions, please let me know!

Highly recommend Thrive causemetics mascara!! It is the best mascara Iโ€™ve ever used. Length, volume, no smudging, no flaking, I wear it to work as a nurse for a 12 hour shift and itโ€™s exactly the same about 15 or 16 hours later when I wash it off. Itโ€™s tubing mascara so itโ€™s a dream to wash off โ™ฅ๏ธ

I rarely wear mascara because almost all mascaras (waterproof, not waterproof, high end or low) leave me with a grey smear under my left eye – just the left one – by day’s end. I’ve found a few that don’t and so clearly, not leaving a smear/smudge over time is a big deal to me. I do like a mascara that gives a bit of a thicker look and a bit of length but I like my lashes to look realistic. I also like something that is easy to remove (so, not coming off in a grey smudge during the day but coming off easily when I want to remove it). I tried a Lise Watier mascara that a lot of people rave about and it’s pretty nice but it’s a bugger to get off. I think it might be a tubing type mascara (not sure though) but I don’t understand how to get it off without pulling out lashes!

Shipping could take a couple weeks depending on where you live but you may like Florasis’s Pine Soot mascara. I also always have some smudging under my eyes and of the countless mascaras I’ve tried, this is the only non waterproof one that doesn’t smudge for a least 6 hrs and some days it doesn’t smudge at all. It has a very skinny wand but doesn’t clump, it gives natural volume and length and removes easily with micellar water. It comes in black and brown and I’ve bought it on the Florasis site and on Amazon (authorized retailer); shipping was free and took abt 2 weeks to get from China to me in NYC.

I live in AZ and our summer heat can be brutal. For me a mascara that wonโ€™t melt because of heat is huge. I donโ€™t like doing touch ups so long lasting, smudge proof, sweat proof and waterproof are the other things Iโ€™m looking for. Iโ€™ve had best luck getting my mascara expectations met with MAC In Extreme Dimension Waterproof and recently discontinued Haute & Naughty waterproof. Holding curl or minor flakes donโ€™t bother me
Iโ€™m thankful az is a dry heat, I have zero idea how Iโ€™d handle heat with humidity

I have naturally long lashes and no matter what I do, I always have some smudging under my eyes but I’ll only repurchase a mascara that doesn’t flake and keeps smudging to a bare minimum for at least 6 hrs. My lashes also clump at the drop of a hat so I prefer a drier formula that allows me to build fluttery but separated volume. I hate wet mascaras like TF Better Than Sex

I want my mascara to stay in place, intact, no smudging or flaking allowed until I decide to remove it. Though thanks to oily lids and severely hooded eyes I often find smudging on the lowest part of the hoods. I really wish that didn’t happen.
Speaking about mascaras, I also want unnaturally long and thick lashes, my hood makes them look straighter than they used to be, so I don’t care much about holding the curl.

Smudging and, flaking are deal breakers. My eyes are naturally watery, so I mostly have to wear waterproof mascara, but I have found that the rare beauty is about the best of the non-waterproof it smudges the least, and caliray is a new favorite, because even though it is water resistant but not technically waterproof, it doesnโ€™t smudge at all even when my eyes are watering up a storm ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have very sensitive eyes and wear contacts, so for the last few months I’ve been splurging on lash lifts and tints in lieu of mascara. For days I really need something more, I’m mainly looking for something that won’t smear or flake into my eyes!
