I like pressed powder blush! It’s a no-brainer for me. But I like the staying power a cheek stain and a cream gives me when combined with a powder.
easiest is definitely pressed powder but my two of my favs are MUFE HD and BE
I looooove cream/gel. I find it lasts longer, with the right brush it looks just amazing. When it fades, it doesn’t leave blotches. Just more natural all around.
I don’t have much experience with others than pressed powder, so right now that is at the top…however I want to experiment with more cream blushes because I find powders can be a bit finnicky to get blended in nicely, and can sometimes be patchy. I really love my one Tarte cheek stain, which is a gel, but I only have one so I don’t feel qualified to say it’s my favorite type. Also it’s very sheer.
Pressed powder! Its easy to blend and also is not messy!
I pressed powder for two reasons: 1) It’s easier to control getting a small amount evenly over my whole brush and 2) I wear powder foundation, so liquid over powder is a no-go for me.
I love the MAC Mineralize blushes. They go on like a dream.
I prefer cream blush because of the way it melts into skin and gives a very natural finish. I like the dewiness of it and the variations you can get with a light or heavier application. I find (on my own skin) that powder tends to look, well, powdery. More so than I like. Overall though, my collection has equal parts cream blush to powder.
I absolutely love the Tarte cheek stains, but I don’t think that they fall under any of the above categories. What would you call them?
I would have picked cream if I ever could find one that lasts more than 1 hr! I like the look cream gives a lot better than pressed. Stains are fab if they really do last on both cheeks and lips.
I love the loose powder one that I have that comes in a bottle with a brush. I’s like to open it though because I have had it for a while and the brush must be pretty dirty.
I use pressed powder for ease and control…wish I can use cream with the same consistency….cheek stains are fun but can be messy.
I dig the Inglot AMC face blush and the MUFE HD Microfinish blush
