What is your most used blush (of all-time)?

I think the only blush I ever got close to finishing was MAC Margin, so I want to say that is likely the closest to truly most used! Other contenders would be Chanel Jersey and Marc Jacobs Beauty Flesh & Fantasy… but they don’t even show a dip! Least used for is… you know, a lot, since I don’t return to a lot of products more than a handful of times!

Of all time? Probably NARS Orgasm. Have had it for ages. Has major pan and still I’m unable to finish. I’m afraid to purchase a new one in case the formula has changed and it’s not as good. The one I have is still amazing.

My other most used blush is Clinique Cheek Pop in Nude Pop. You cannot even see the daisy imprint anymore. It’s the perfect nude blush. The best blush formula imo. I’ve been just dusting it over my face like a bronzer while in quarantine. Can never over do. Love it!

My least used is probably newer ones that I haven’t got to using or more like felt like wearing. Colourpop X Sailor Moon in From the Moon or MAC Frankly Scarlet

This is more a tangential comment on recent m/u history. Mid to late 60s, Revlon brought powder blush to the mainstream. Maybe it existed in other lines, but R was most teen’s first access. Compared to now, there were zero choices of brands, and below zero color choices. So…..you chose one, panned it, rebought it, panned it. You get the picture. So, by default only, my most used blush is long extinct, Revlon Misty Pink, iirc. So now, with 9 billion choices, it is vastly more varied, but not in the least easier in choice. Then, I had one, and now I’m ashamed to count.

I love this story. I knew blush and lips used to come in tins and you used one for both but I wondered what happened to blush when lipstick tube was invented in the 20s.

I was all about Cover Girl and that was the brand that I first dipped my toes in regards to makeup. I had all of those Cheekers blushes or close to at one point. Panned a few Just Peachy and Rock n Rose back in the day. Once Sephora and Ulta became accessible, then my makeup collection went from insane to even more insane. Could never pan a blush now not even minis!

Oh my gosh. My too. Not that shade, but I used Revlon’s Wine with Everything and panned many, many compacts. I used it as a cross between contour and blush, or it would have been too dark on my fair skin. It was all I used for for over 30 years until my daughter was a teenager and started wearing makeup and watching youtube videos. That’s when I learned how much more there was now. These days, I have so many blushes, I’m not sure I’ll pan one. The one the most likely to get panned is one I grab when I have no time to think about and will know it will look good – The Balm Palm Beach. Before that, my default on the go blush was Milani’s deliciouso (the original).

I wear Surratt La rosee du soir and La vie en rose simultaneously. I have them housed in a Surratt trio compact and I use my brush across both. They have the most significant wear of any of my blushes. I also believe this formula is the best I own.

Historically though, MAC Margin was my only blush for probably more than a decade, but I no longer have it in stash.

Carolina Avatar

Probably Dallas from Benefit… The original version. It has a dip in it but the blush is 12 grams (that’s how they made it back then!) so I’m not easily going to see pan.
MAC’s Seduced at Sea is also a heavily used one.
And Clarins’ Face & Blush Palette from 2013.
And MAC’s Fairly Precious for a very recent one.
God, I love blush.

BareMinerals On the Mauve. I got it as part of a holiday 2018 set and use it as my day blush. BareMinerals makes my favorite blush formula because it always blends out beautifully if you use too much.

Milani matye blush in Tea Rose is my most used. Blush makes me look clown’ish so I dont have many. But the Milani is matte, a perfect mauve pink that doesnt lean purple or grey ( mauve pull a weird color on me). It is somehow neutral enough despite how pigmented it is. I have to go in with a light hand for a soft look but it does easily build to a very intense color.

MAC Breath of Plum
It was one of the first blushes ever applied on me, during a MAC make-up session (I started wearing blushes late in my make-up journey). I really like how natural it is and how it compliments my complexion. I have definitely hit pan on the ones owned, even considering I throw away powders 3 years after manufacturing date. It’s one of those products I would always repurchased, rather than try to dupe or replace. In fact, I could totally only own MAC Breath of Plum as a blush, if I am allowed to have MAC Sculpt as a separate contour shade. 😀

AJ Avatar

The second to darkest blush shade in my LunatiCK Cosmetics Lab contour book. It’s pretty much the only blush I’ve been wearing for the past few years, except sometimes I wear one of the lighter shades if I am doing a “natural” look.

Lesley Avatar

The only blushes I have ever used up are Tarte Paarty in the mini size that Sephora gave as a birthday gift and Benefit Benetint so I guess they would be my most used. Now I rotate my blushes so no one gets used more than any other

Lucie Avatar

Of all time? Nars Orgasm. I’ve hit pan at least three times (larger sizes). Mostly because it took me a really long time to get “into” blush and for a long time I never wore it and once I did, I never really saw it as something that needed to coordinate with the rest of my makeup or that could drastically change my look so I never saw the need for more than one or two (so I owned this and Tarte Exposed).

I haven’t worn either of those for at least a year now though. The blush that has been getting the most play lately in my toned down makeup routine and a close second to all time would be MAC Cosmic Force, which I haven’t found a suitable dupe for yet – everything so far is too dark or too warm. I’ve hit pan once and am halfway through another. I did manage to snag one more though before it disappeared since it was limited.

Most of my numerous blushes haven’t been getting much love lately, but my least worn of all time (not due lack of love) is Urban Decay Bittersweet. Love it and loved that formula, but it takes effort to make that purple not look like a bruise on me and it needs to be coordinated carefully with the rest of my makeup. I’m actually hoping Fenty’s new Drama Class cream blush will be a suitable dupe since UD is discontinued.

Of the last 6-7 years, Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes by a landslide, especially Exposed and Celebrated. Runners-up would be Milani Rose Petal Blush in Coral Cove, Sleek Life’s a Peach, and UD Afterglow Blush in Bittersweet. Sydney Grace Pressed Blush in Paris Skies and PF Butter Bllush in Plum Rose are well on their way to joining this group.

Of all time isn’t actually a blush, but bareMinerals All-Over Face Color in Rose Radiance. I wore this as a blush almost every day starting in the late 1990s through the early 2010s. I still use it from time to time.

This is pretty easy for me!
1. Ciate Glow To Illuminate in Summer Love
2. Tarte Party in the mini pan size which was a Sephora birthday gift one year, I think.
3. Tarte Exposed. I used it pretty much everyday when it first came out but these days I prefer a little shimmer, satin, glow to my blushes, hence Summer Love.

NARS Sin! It doesn’t look like much in the pan, and it looks like it would be too deep for my fair skin, but it’s a fantastic, goes-with-anything shade for me. It’s also got enough depth that it provides a little bit of contour/definition on days when I don’t want to mess with too many products, but still need a little bit of shape on my cheek. I’ve got the old version; not sure if the newly released version is too far off of that or not!

Gilad Avatar

Most used of all time. That sounds so epic.
Has to be Orgasm, as it’s the only one I’ve re-bought. Current version isn’t as good as my original – more highlighter than shimmering coral now 🙁 but still like it and fits into the rotation now & then as a topper.

Heather Avatar

Blush is the one product I can’t help myself from purchasing. For this reason I don’t have “most used” because I love so many of them! But my most recent favourite would have to be e.l.f. Primer-Infused Blush in the shade Always Rosy.

Carla Avatar

Strangely it’s probably NAS Taj Mahal, it’s such a unique colour that I reach for it very often when I want an easy but fun look.

I love blush and have around 30 shades which I tend to rotate through so they see only sporadic love. I’ve hit pan on Taj Mahal, TheBalm Balm Desert and a few of the little Bourjois blushs when I was younger.

Jennifer Avatar

Nars Madly. It pulls quite warm on my fair, cool-toned skin, but in a good way. I actually can use it as blush and contour at the same time. I must have 50 blushes and I have hit major pan on this one. It is described as “seashell pink” but it definitely is not pink on my skin.

Wendy Avatar

I’ve gone through several Charlotte Tilbury First Love blushes. But they are such a soft formula that they break before I can actually finish them.

The only other blush I’ve gone through in recent years is the Girlactik Milan blush. I have gone through two of them and It’s the most perfect pink blush of all time. I always come back to it.

Stefanie Avatar

Burberry Light Glow Blush in Earthy. I think this may be the first product I’ll ever pan! A close second is Clinique Cheek Pop in Black Honey but I seriously doubt that I’ll ever hit the pan on it.

Missy Avatar

I had to think about this one for a minute. My most-used blush was the Cargo Cosmetics HD Blush. This was back when Cargo was sold at Sephora, in the noughties. It wasn’t like any other blush I knew about, a warm pale dusty pink with a very fine and subtle champagne shimmer. I panned at least 4 of them over the years and have a 5th one at home that’s 2/3rds done. I also have an untouched replacement waiting (found it on eBay, the place to go for discontinued makeup haha) I speak about it in the past because I seldom wear it these days. Right now I’m obsessing over loose powder blushes and cream blushes. Loose powder is really the winner when it comes to staying on your cheeks the whole day. Creams don’t last as long.

Teasha Avatar

Most used? Mac well dressed. I’m really pale and it is hard to overuse it.
Least used? I usually return stuff if it isn’t going to work out. One I kept, because I kept thinking maybe someday, Nars orgasm. It broke me out. It’s sad! Fortunately it has many a dupe.

Nikki Avatar

I haven’t hit pan on any of them, but it would probably be one of these 4: Tarte Unstoppable or Paaarty, Revlon Ravishing Rose, or my beloved and discontinued NARS Satellite of Love highlighting blush.

Genevieve Avatar

It’s not so much one particular blush that I have used the most, rather a shade – which is peachy/coral.
As I tend to use one blush at a time, I do finish them. At the moment it is Covergirl’s Clean Glow blush in peach – of which I have well and truly hit pan.
I would like to get the Cover FX Monochrome Duo in peach, but alas Sephora here has run out…

Gilad Avatar

They were having a sale last week on their website – maybe Cover FX still has them (and will ship to you).
Good luck. I got a few and am loving them.

Tammy Avatar

Back in the days when I used Mary Kay I panned Strawberry Cream at least twice, probably more as I used that line exclusively for years. In the past five years I would say Too Faced Love Hangover or How Deep Is Your Love are the ones I’ve used the most.

Linda Avatar

I actually keep track of these things in a spreadsheet, LOL. Last year it was Flesh and Fantasy, so far this year it’s been Clinique Pink Honey Pop. Of all time I think it would be MAC Warm Soul (old version) or Benefit Dallas, those were my first blushes when my collection was smaller.
