I don’t generally wear foundation at all (though I did last night) so for me, it’s something like MAC Phloof or, for a bit more “presence”, Marc Jacobs Primo or Bravo on the mobile lid (in the case of the lighter 2 shades, all over the lid), Sephora Cappuccino liner, concealer under my eyes, MAC Sweet Sentiment blush and Craving lipstick. I rarely wear mascara.
I wear foundation, concealer, setting powder, and blush when I leave home, even on lazy days. And I always fill in my sparse brows. When I’m feeling lazy, I do a one-and-done eye look with MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork and then a quick coat of mascara. But, since COVID, if I’m feeling way beyond lazy, I’ll just do my brows and lashes, and put on a mask to hide the rest of my face!
Same for me, MAC Groundwork with a little tight lining/mascara and small dabs of concealer in strategic locations.
Tinted sunscreen, Dior lip Glow, mascara of the moment, and a quick sheer blush (LM fresco or whatever stick blush is nearby).
I will put My MAC Studio powder foundation, blush and Fenty Glow Universal gloss..
My lazy, casual-day routine is always 1. a quick swipe of eye primer on lower lids, 2. filling in brows, 3. UD 24/7 Smoke eye pencil lightly smudged on bottom lid then tightlined on upper lid (very hooded eyes), followed by 4. a light neutral (or at least muted) lipstick and 5. a dab of powder blush. If I’m too shiny, I finish with 6. a light touch of LM translucent ultra-blur powder.
Fortunately, I’ve found that good, regular skincare (something I’d neglected at times) evens out my blotchy skin tone enough to avoid the need for foundation and even (mostly!) concealer. I do keep mascara for special occasions, but I’m done with it on the regular. My sensitive eyes feel so much better without it.
Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen as primer, Laura Geller Baked Balance-n-Brighten Color Correcting Foundation in Porcelain, peach or coral blush, Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara; lip gloss or tinted lip oil.
Tower 28 tinted sunscreen and new concealer, pat McGrath fetish eyes mascara, hourglass ambient palette for blush/bronzer/highlight and powder, Natasha Denona shadow from the palette of the week.
Whatever my current cushion foundation is, right now Clio Kill Cover Mesh Glow in shade 02 Lingerie. I am trying to embrace my hyperpigmentation so forcing myself to just use foundation on days when I am doing a lite makeup application. So, a lite second layer of foundation over the hyperpigmentation and no concealer. Prism Libre powder just on center of face. MAC Fling Brow Pen, Chantecaille blush in Bliss, Lisa Eldridge Velvet Bloom and a coat of mascara.
Tinted brow gel, concealer, mascara, one & done eyeshadow& tinted lip balm
Spot concealer, blush, mascara and tinted lip balm, oil or gloss. If I’m extra lazy, I skip mascara and just curl my lashes.
I can’t remember the last time I did a lazy day look – but it is usually foundation (L’Oreal’s True Match in Porcelain Rose), eyebrow pencil, blush, lipstick and a couple of eye colours – usually neutrals from my vast neutral stash.
I started streamlining my makeup and will use Tarte Tinted spf Moisturizing BB blurring primer. With Iconic London kissed by the Sun “So Cheeky “ as blush and some brushed onto my lids. a quick coat of mascara
a swipe of eye liner and a lip stain .
CC cream set with Hourglass Dim Light, brows, a bronzing blush, some MAC Kid to give my eyes a faux socket, curl lashes, apply mascara, add lipgloss, and run!
Moisturizer, sunscreen, brows (Anastasia), eyeshadow primer to keep the sunscreen out of my eyes (Lorac at the moment), eyeliner (MUFE eyeshadow in matte black with a wet angled brush if there’s time or else I’ll smudge a pencil on the upper lash line), and lipstick (Coola Mineral Liplux in whatever shade I grab).
If I’m really lazy, then just a moisturizer like Olay Peptides cream and Sephora lip balm.
A minimal lazy look is to first exfoliate, then Clinique DDML+ moisturizer, followed by a light mix of MAC Face & Body and more DDML in equal proportions, applied with fingers. Then tinted brow gel. A peachy-pink blush like Laura Geller Grapefruit or Bobbi Brown Antigua, applied with a Nars Yachiyo brush. Sephora Rose or Coconut lip balm, and a peachy-pink-nude lipstick from Morphe or Bobbi Brown or others. I have way too much makeup…
If I’m being truly lazy, nothing. If I care a bit, I’ll do a bit of concealer if needed, a shimmery creme eyeshadow, mascara, and lipgloss. The lightness has worked well over this insanely hot summer. (Who needs blush when it’s 102° out?)
I’m usually lazy, especially when it comes to makeup (I go in extreme phases), but lately I’ll just wear UD Quickie concealer set with Laura Mercier powder or Bare Minerals Well-Rested and W3LL brown mascara. But then I’ll look in the mirror and hear my mom’s voice say, “you need some color!” (We are very pale people.) And then I dust on MAC Radiant Light Rosy Bronzer.
Ilene- light skin, dry skin but nose a bit oily
I guess I do lazy makeup most days. Absolute minimum is concealer under eyes and where needed, brow pencil, curled eyelashes and lipbalm usually the Laneige sleeping mask. Love these!
Next level would be blush( Merit raspberry beret) and mascara. Maybe a little bit of tinted moisturizer or sheer foundation just in spots. A dusting of the Nars pressed crystal powder.
Maximum effort would include several neutral eyeshadows and a sheer lipstick, love the Chantecaille lip chics or a tinted balm- The Tula blushing lemonade ( recent purchase) is very nice and lasts well for a tinted balm. Their concealer is also quite good.
I always use the PMG foundation and concealer on both high glam and simple days because for me it’s easy to put on and I like the look it gives so that’s always in my routine, on easy days I frequently default to my Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk quad. I like how I don’t have to think about what the look it is going to be, and I always love the final result I get from it.
I also frequently will use the Sailor Moon palette from ColourPop as my lazy day palette.
I’ll pick blush and highlighter that strike my fancy from my collection, and finish up with brows and mascara and setting spray.
On quick days I can be done in around 15 minutes if needed, on normal days I take more around a half hour or a little longer if I’m really doing complex eye looks.
My usual low-key routine is one and done shadow, mascara, brow gel, cream blush and a lip product.
Any foundation that’s more like a tint or BB (remember those, ha!), a finger pat of concealer, a quick pencil brow, no shadow (yes, yes, it’s my most favorite thing to wear, but not if I need quick and out), mascara, and either a Fenty Gloss bomb or a mid to high-end lippie by YSL, Dior or Givenchy.
And it’s been most often that I do this.
