What is your all-time favorite eyeshadow single?

I’m still pretty obsessed with Sydney Grace The Mielke Way (that I was involved in). It’s one of the few one-and-done singles for me.

Oh dear lord, what an impossible question this is, Christine! I think it would be either UD Casterly Rock or ABH Marina (with Stila Starlight in the running as well). All 3 of these are LE or discontinued, worse luck! Oh – how could I forget MAC Grand Entrance? Okay, of all of these, it’s still Casterly Rock!

My favorite single has to be Rose Venus by Pat McGrath. I find myself completing most of my eye looks with it. Is it pink or rosy copper? I seems to look a little different each time I wear it. It is incredible on blue eyes. My first one shattered, yet I scraped up the powder and kept it.( bought another which seems smaller). Sadly, now it seems to have been discontinued!

I loved L’Oréal Amber Rush Infallible shadow for a long time there. I also liked the look of TheBalm Mischievous Marissa on its own to brighten my eyes. I’m bummed it’s discontinued!

Ooh, that’s a tough call! I have several that I cannot imagine not having: UD Tonic, MAC x Temptalia Jealousy Wakes, Nars Callisto, ColourPop Glass Bull are the very first ones to pop into my head for their absolute beauty.
For single shades within a palette: SG x Mel Thompson Tiny Marvels Fire Butts and Marvel, SG x Temptalia Phosphenes, Borealis and Aurora, and Nars Summer Moon in the Unrated palette!

This is a tough. Like so many others, is it really possible to pick one? It would be like picking a favorite child. For sure, MAC Omega is likely the most used and if push came to shove, I would pick that one to take to my desert island. Honorable mention goes to Ellis Faas Silver Creamy Eyes. It is actually identified by a number but I can’t remember what the number is and too lazy to go look at it. If I was able to choose LE it would be my oft mentioned Shiseido Silkspun Greengold.

The latter is the Queen of best worst names, lol. Sorry that Morbid came on my radar so late, after I went totally no buy and fully packed up. It should be the makeup for This Podcast Will Kill You, lol.

I so wish MAC would repromote Moth Brown. It’s one of the shadows from the past that so many people gnash their teeth about not having been able to get (me included!). Silver Sun is gorgeous and for a short while, it was brought back as a “permanent” shade and then, I think, it was discontinued again!

Aquarius (shimmer) from BH’s zodiac palette. 🙁 It’s a fine gold with green sparkle. It makes me so happy inside. I nabbed Fyrinnae’s Fantasy Creatures but it’s more chunky and cyan. Ugh, I love golds and greens. If anyone knows a similar dupe for that Aquarius- please, tell me.

Depends on the definition. If you mean a shadow sold individually, I don’t have many of those, so I’d have to go with the one I’ve had longest-Sephora Vampire Lovers. If you mean a single shade within a palette, probably either Melt Pink Noise from Millennial Pinx-I like its combo of pink/blue shift (and I even get some greenish hints!) in an ivory base-or (I haven’t used this one in a long time, but it’s really sticking in my mind right now and I have no idea why) Kylie Purple Smoke, a mix (but not a duochrome) of purple and bronze from the Purple Palette.

It used to be ColourPop SSS in Wattles but it finally fell to the CP-Discontinuation Monster. Currently it’s MAC Groundwork, I prefer a satin or matte that doesn’t dry down into sahara desert territory. But what I love the most about a shadow like that is that for no-makeup makeup days I look polished but then for special occasions I can tap a topper shade over it and look extra. Well, for me anyway.

Hey Christine, that would be a good category to recommend favorites: topper singles?

Looxi Beauty has a shade called Ube which is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. It’s a purple-blue-green shifty shade which is so incredibly versatile and eye-catching. It’s one of two eyeshadows I’ve ever repurchased, the other being Made by Mocha by Maybelline

I have many and use a lot of them, but the wear-with-anything staples are Urban Decay Sin, Stila Kitten and Stila Wheat (Stila doesn’t sell individual pressed eyeshadows anymore, except Kitten. They seem to have settled on liquid eyeshadow – Glitter and Glow, Shimmer and Glow – I have a bunch and never wear them..) And I must have Mac Omega, but I use it on my eyebrows. It’s perfect.

WIthout a doubt, MAC’s Patina. It is unfortunately discontinued and I keep trying to find a dupe for it. I’ve hit pan with it but I will continue to use it until there is nothing left
