What highlighter hues are you most drawn to?

I love duochrome (or multichrome, I’d imagine) highlighters of any and all varieties… I love the ability of it to really shift and play with any blush it is paired with. I also love more rose gold/mauve highlighters.

I love a really nice champagne highlighter, something hovering between pale gold and silver, for regular wear or when I’m not wanting more of a faux glow. The vast majority of time, I get more excited about duochrome/multichrome because shift is, well, exciting. I’m a pink, rose gold, mauve kinda gal. I’m not into gold or copper (copper hybrids, yes as blush). I also do not like whitish based highlighters because my skin tone is not sufficiently fair or dark enough.. If that sounds crazy, I know what I mean.

Beigey champagne shades like MAC Double Gleam, gold shift pinks like MJ Jet Girl and ND Pink Champagne, bronzey coppers like DoC Miramé and CP Butterfly Beach, golds like MAC Whisper of Gilt, Shaft of Gold and ABH Amrezy. Also, the Peach shade in Dior Backstage Glitz quad is phenomenal! Love mixing it with a little bit of one of the two glittery shades above it. These are the highlighters I reach for the most.

Silvery peach, light beige and shades of pink including rose gold. I don’t like any heavily gold infused and love ones with different kinds of sparkle. I don’t mind micro glitters or whatever they call it with the ‘wet look’.

Don’t use it often, but despite being older than dirt, like the offbeats best. Blue, green, lavender. Just a bit of surprise that you have to work to see. Must be a throwback to hippie era mentality.

Any duochromes! Icy whites with strong a strong violet shift are my absolute favorites; peach with a pink shift are a close second. I adore unconventional colors such as blue, green, and purple, etc. For non-duochromes, I love icy pinks, lavenders, and whites, and pale champagnes and golds (as long as they are not intensely yellow-based, as they make me look jaundiced).

I’m attracted to intense finishes — strong duochromes, metallics, frosty, super-shimmery.

I like blue, green, champagne, rose gold, but my absolute favourite is lavender. On me, it “looks like” cool natural light without actually replicating cool natural light, and it’s a great way to cool down a slightly-too-peachy blush. 😀

My collection is all stuff I got for very cheap, so my own lavender highlighters are one end of a Revolution “Unicorn” pale rainbow, and one that I bought at Daiso (the case says “U R GLAM”). Most of my highlighter experience is looking at swatches and drooling a little bit, to be honest.

I love any coloured highlighters and especially shifting ones. I have champagne and light golds but they just don’t blow me away like a good shifty lavender/pink or peach/pink or blue/green would.
