I’m almost done with my bottle of MAC Pro Longwear Foundation NC40. Loved how it could stand up to the heat and humidity, but ALWAYS had to add a bit of Strobe Cream to it, because it was pretty drying even with a good moisturizer on underneath. Also wore Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation quite often, too. Not as drying. No more having to add something to make it feel comfortable!

Hmmmm……I switch foundations according to weather so it’s never just one all year.

Hot & Humid Monsoon season- Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Foundation, a bit drying but that’s actually a plus when it’s so humid. I have to say EL Double wear makeup is the ONLY reasonably priced stuff I’ve found that will stay on a good 8-10 hrs without fading in high heat & humidity.

Dry & Arid late Fall/Winter- IT Bye Bye Foundation Full Coverage Moisturizing Foundation, not exactly full coverage but the least drying without being oily, lasts 8-10 hrs without fading, shade match isn’t ideal though

Best All-Arounder for Whatever the Weather- My beloved Cle de Peau Silky Cream Foundation, stays put for 8-10 hrs no matter what, easy to apply with fingers, shade match is perfect, not drying nor oily, the tiny tube is perfect for travel too! Downside =EXPENSIVE.

IT CC Cream, followed by Clarins Skin Illusion. For powder foundations, it would also be IT Celebration Foundation and the great new one from Sephora – Matte Perfection (it’s not so matte as to be dry or cakey looking…just a really nice powder foundation available in loads of colours).

Nars sheer glow and MUFE. They are the only foundations that have really matched my super dry and super olive skin tone. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them (although I do like these foundations) ?

Loreal Infallible Advanced Never Fail foundation. The bottle with the red cap. It is not in stores but I think you can buy online. I don’t like true mousse like Infallible foundation. It is alright but the texture bothers me. Or…

Loreal Truematch. Or…

Estee Lauder Double Wear. Feels a lot like the Loreal Advanced Never Fail one I mentioned above. It is good, long lasting and buildable. Not a miracle foundation like some would have you believe. Didn’t hold up all that great last summer with all the humidity. But then again no foundation did for me!

I’ve been experimenting, haven’t found that perfect one yet:
MAC Studio Waterweight (don’t love; it oxidized quickly)
Smashbox Camera Ready water-based (since it’s the same basic formula as MAC’s, am waiting to see about oxidation but so far, so good)
Laneige BB cushion (I liked this, but was trying out the water-based above during summer given oiliness; am likely to go back to it soon).

urban decay naked foundation
mac pro longwear mixed with becca bronzer
dior capture totale
meow flawless mau 🙂

which one i use depends on my grade of sun skin shade.. winter skin fits dior or urban decay, summer heat best with mac/becca combo, good skin plus sun skin best with meow and tninted moisturizer

By far and away, Chosungah 22 C &T Luminous Light in the shade Porcelain. Towards the late fall and currently, I am trying out Marc Jacobs Remarkable foundation in the shade Ivory Light 10. My reason for doing so when I Iove everything about the Chosungah is that I don’t get full coverage with the Chosungah and I haven’t been able to find a concealer that covers my hyperpigmentation enough to just use the Chosungh. I have been using the MJ alone and really like the coverage. It is the first foundation or concealer that has completely covered the sun spots. I don’t love the flatness of the MJ so I am going to start mixing a little MJ into the Chosungah and see if that gives me some life and still gives me good coverage.

It’s a toss up between Estée Lauder Double Wear and Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24. I just picked up samples of the Chanel foundation that replaced Perfection Lumiere – I hope I love it.

I have quite a lot of foundations on the go (my weaknesses are foundations and blush) so it changes with the season and how I’m feeling.

Summer – MUFE, Water Blend or Mac Face and Body (I need it to be sweat proof!)
Winter – MUFE HD or Bourjois Healthy Mix, but I like to mix these either with a drop of rosehip oil or half and half with Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue (the squalene in it is everything.)

Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting, this is the one I had a problem with the pump and they graciously sent me a new one within days even though I bought it from Selfridges and had no receipt, with huge apologies love, love Tom Ford, and Armani Lumnious Silk.

NARS all around. Sheer Glow and the Tinted Moisturizer FTW, love!

That’s not to say that nothing comes close though! Bobby Brown Moisture Rich is also fantastic for my aging (ahem!) desert dry skin, Shiseido Sheer and Perfect is also wonderful if you do not need much coverage.

It Cosmétics CC + (the original one ). My skin is so sensitive that it’s really à big deal to find a foundation that is hydrating enough and doesnt give me a giant rash on the face. Surprisingly, despite the fragrance in this CC cream, I have no issues at all with this one and my skin feels OK all day long.

Hi Christina! I never comment, but this one I thought I would. Gosh, I’ve used SO many foundations! I think my most used thought was MUFE Duo Matt. I love the ease, and the coverage. I really used Milani’s Conceal and Perfect (mixed with MAC’s Strobe Cream) for the summer though. Yes, I’m a full coverage gal. Lots of stuff to cover. Incidentally – I tried a sample of Becca’s illuminating foundation and I loved it. I’m just to much on the oily side for that one. I’m still hunting my holy grail……

I swear, and I’m a rational scientific based woman, but something great has happened to my skin since using this foundation. My melasma has almost disappeared, my skin looks beautiful and I can’t account it to a bit of aczone. Maybe I’m crazy…?

Cle de Peau Radiant Liquid Foundation in I10 and Armani Maestro Glow in #5. I’m 3/4 or more through them both and already have back-ups on hand of both of them. I’m paranoid about being caught without a back-up when I start to get near the end, though I’ve never actually run out by surprise!

CoverGirl Matte BB cream without a doubt. I love this stuff, it looks so good, covers well and last a really long time on my combo/oily skin. The only con is the shade rage, the lightest shade is still too dark for me so I have to mix it with other foundations or a white mixer.
