I only use Lancome Renergie foundation right now. But in the past few months I have noticed that I need more coverage but i also want the plumping effect that the Renergie has. I would like to try Clarins foundation, along with their moisturizer, which also has that lift and plumping action. My problem is…..I can find the moisturizer at Ulta but I would have to order the foundation because I can’t find it anywhere at my local beauty counters…. and i have no idea which shade to order. I may have to ask for samples.
My absolute all time favourite foundation was a Clarin’s one – from the Everlasting range. It was sadly d/c some time ago. Since then I have looked at the Clarins foundation range to find a substitute – but even in the counters of the dept. stores that stock Clarins, they don’t have a chart indicating the undertones of their foundations and the staff don’t have a clue.
So it has been quite frustrating.
Good luck with your search for a Clarins foundation because I think they are great if you can find one that suits your skintone.

Just got the new and reformulated Lancome Teint Idole and am really liking it much more than the original, not as thick….also using the Hourglass Ambient soft matte and the Chanel#1 and Chantecaille Future
Skin gel foundation….I am a foundation junkie….my downfall…..It’s starting to get really hot here in the desert now so I’m going to have to revamp my foundation routine for the summer….

Dior Backstage, EL Double Wear, MAC Studio Fix Fluid, MAC Waterweight, Catrice HD, and MAC Studio Fix powder are my rotation. The first three are my most used.
I have two foundations in rotation right now and one is for my everyday wear and one is for more days where I am going out and need more fuller coverage. The one for my everyday wear is the Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra and my fuller coverage one is Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation!
Just been concocting a perfect mixture of MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof NW30, Strobe Cream in Pinklite, and Lumene CC Color Corrector in Medium for not only a perfect match, but one that lasts well, doesn’t oxidize (probably because of the Lumene CC cream? It’s too light to use on it’s own, so now I use it to tame any weird darkening and orangish tones, and doesn’t feel heavy, yet covers well.
Haus Beauty is really the only one I’m using now! I love the hydrating effect, I love the natural finish, and I love the medium coverage. It’s the perfect everyday foundation for me, and I find it wears quite well for about the 12 hours I wear it. I still use MAC Studio Fix Fluid for when I need full coverage or super humid/hard days.
Dior Forever Glow in 0.5N and Lancome Teint Care & Glow in 125W. I was testing Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow Foundation in 3 and finally concluded that it was breaking me out/causing a rash. The finish is lovely, but it just doesn’t work for me so that one is out of the rotation.
Giorgio Armani Neo Nude, Tom Ford Traceless Soft Matte and stick foundations, Estée Lauder Double Wear Sheer foundation.
In semi rotation is Pat McGrath, Lawless Conceal the Deal and and a new favorite – Terry Tomlinson’s foundation.
Terri Tomlinson’s foundation reminds me of my discontinued favorite Lasting Silk UVF by Giorgio Armani. It has this very slight sort of rose or magnolia scent like Oil of Olay that I just love as well. It’s going to move into full rotation as soon as I have used up my Tom Ford and Estee Lauder.
I have three foundations in rotation at the moment – my main one is my all time favourite – L’Oreal’s True Match foundation in porcelain rose.
I use the Flower Beauty Serum foundation in Shell during summer, when I want a lightweight. more sheerer kind of effect during hot days.
And lastly, I have Fenty’s Semi Matte foundation in porcelain that I use for special events. It first goes on as much lighter than my complexion and then warms up to my skintone. The finish is stunning.

My most often used foundation is MAC Studio Fix Powder in NW 13. I’ve been using it for years but still try to find one that I will like better so right now I am trying CT Airbrush Flawless Foundation, I use 3 Neutral, I’m not sure I like it, but it’s rather good. I apply it with a Beautyblender sponge.
I’m also trying to finish my Chanel Perfect Lumière Velvet Foundation in 10 beige, I like it but keep forgetting I have it, so now all of these are on top of the desk I sit by when doing my makeup. It sits by a north facing window so I get perfect natural light all day.
I think that I’d keep using the MAC and Chanel ones, but I think Chanel DCed this particular foundation quite some time ago, mine is probably old, but it still smells and fells like it always did.
I almost forgot to mention that I also use EL Double Wear quite regularly.
I am interested in trying Fenty and Haus in the future as the quest for finding the perfectest foundation is everlasting for me. 🙂
