What brand do you wish more people would try?
Sydney Grace! Compared to a lot of other indie brands that are talked about, they have a lot less followers than I’d expect! They have so many great products, which is the primary reason to try (duh!), but they are actually one of the better indie buying experiences one can have since they typically sell product that’s actually in-stock… so you can order and have your purchase shipped out in a few days vs. weeks or months later!
I’m so glad I made a big purchase from Sydney Grace right after you posted all their swatches – the quality is AMAZING and apply beautifully. As much as I love others (Clionadh, etc) – waiting months to get my product is … less amazing. I got my Sydney Grace very quickly in comparison and would happily order from them again.
Totally agree with you Christine, they are my favorite brand. Didn’t care for Give Me Glow or Clindohl (sp) SG cater to all ages and the others not so much. There eyeshadows are just as good as the more expensive ones!
Definitely Sydney Grace! I love their products and they’re so sweet.
100% here to double down on Sydney Grace! Gorgeous colors, wonderful formula, quick shipping, and less plastic packaging than other brands. So, so good!
Might be pricey, but Natasha Denona! Even if one just sticks to her Mini and Midi palettes, it’s still so worth it.
For an interesting indie brand, Devinah. Some very cool, super shifty duo and multi-chromes to be found on her site!
I know it’s not necessarily makeup related, but since Paula’s Choice comes to Sephora soon, I wish more and more people will try the brand (and also start sending more empty containers to Terracycle).
Well… they to have a primer and a tinted lipgloss… and I still hope they will do foundations again…
I totally agree, I absolutely love Paula’s Choice. They have some truly amazing and effective products (the 8% AHA Gel Exfoliant is one of my all time favorite skincare products). Placing orders from their website is also really easy and you always get your orders fairly quick. They always have sales and send customers discount codes too which I love.
Sydney Grace (Colors)
Davines (Hair)
Tobra (Coffee)
My salon sells Davines and I think they are some of the best deep conditioners and hair masks on the market.
I wish more people would give more indie brands a try in general. I know many people prefer to be able to swatch and feel products in person before purchasing and I completely understand that as a reason. On the flip side I wish people who are newer to indie brands were a bit more realistic about how small the operations actually are and not to expect a sephora experience. I see a lot of people new to indie brands, especially since the pandemic, who have very unreasonable expectations of what a one person or 5 person operation is actually capable of, especially when a lot of these brands are literally working out of their homes. Its kind of a double edged sword, I wish indie brands success but their growing pains create a lot of negativity in the community.
Some I dont see get a lot of love would be Menagerie and Devinah.
Don’t worry, Christine, Sydney Grace will get a TON of new customers whenever your collab drops!
They’re getting their first purchase from me the second Christine’s palettes drop and I can’t wait
Same! The jewel toned palette sounds gorgeous!
I totally concur about Sydney Grace. Would add Terra Moons and Looxi.
I like SG too – their quality is consistently good. I do wish the brand would launch out into lipsticks, though. Maybe they need to consider producing more curated eye palettes, as many do find them easier to use than singles.
But with your launch in the making, hopefully, that will make all the difference to the brand.
Yes! Thanks to you I now own soooo many Sydney Grace shadows and they are all simply amazing! I can’t wait for your collab with them.
Sydney Grace, Kaleidos, and Lethal Cosmetics.
SYDNEY GRACE Is SOOOO GOOD!! I know this might be much but I would LOVE to know your favorite, use all the time, can’t live without, Sydney Grace shadows Christine! It could be a cool entry:). xo ❤️
This is a skincare brand but I wish more people would try ClariSEA. They make some seriously effective products that are all made in small batches to ensure the quality. Their a small company and whenever I order from them its a really pleasant experience. Their Sea Salt Solutions line is incredible and very effective. I love the Sea Salt Solutions Rapid Detox Charcoal Exfoliant (its an exfoliant powder that you can add to any cleanser to use. I love adding it to the Osea Ocean Cleanser) and the Sea Salt Solutions Charcoal Salt Crush Clearing Scrub. I also wish more people would try Paula’s Choice like I said in a reply below or above somewhere
I heard the name from some beauty youtubers but the way Mel Thompson talked about the formula something just clicked for me. My first order was the light love palette and even though some of the shades were too dark for my fair skin the formula had me hooked. 143 singles later its now all i use. If i see a new palette come out i dupe it with Sydney Grace singles. If you have a light to medium/medium to deep you are lucky. for the very light and very deep we spend alot of money on finding transition shades that work.
I’m not sure I have a brand that I think is a hidden gem. But you highlight the real reason I stopped purchasing so much from indie companies. I’m impatient. Even if I *know* I’ll receive my product eventually, I want it to be shipped out within a few days of ordering. Waiting months, or even a few weeks, is just not possible for me anymore. I’m such a brat.
Never heard of it. I’ll have to take a look. My answer would be 100% pure. They have amazing products.
