What brand are you least likely to wait for a sale to purchase from?

I’m usually excited for new Natasha Denona releases, so I think I’d be snagging those quickly and not worry about a sale, especially as newer products have tended to be excluded when the brand has a sale going on.

No particular brand, really. I guess Chanel and Dior because they’re not carried locally at Shopper’s Drug Mart (if they were, I’d be in serious trouble) and so when I see something from them that I really love, I’m off to the Bay (Dior – the Bay near me no longer carries Chanel cosmetics, only fragrance) to grab the item(s).

The only brand I’ll just buy outright is Chanel- I don’t think I’ve ever seen them discounted except when Barney’s, I think it was, folded. Everything else pretty much has to be on sale for me to buy it!

Yup – the only place I’ve ever had a discount on Chanel was at the Shoppers Drug Mart in Ottawa that carries Chanel. I happened to be there on a Thursday, so 20% off. And I paid most of the rest with points so it was a real bargain but, like you, I love Chanel and just buy it when I see something I can’t resist.

Mariella, I had forgotten about Chanel! That’s a brand that I have yet to see go on sale, but I’ll pay that extra dough for a particular Chanel product that I absolutely love. And it tends to become a must-have, too!

Any of my favorite indie brands: Clionadh, Menagerie, Terra Moons. Granted, they don’t have sales very often, but I love them so much that I purchase from them as quickly as I can.

Natasha Denona

Typically Pat McGrath for new releases but if it’s something that I want for a restock, I will just wait for a sale.

It used to be Tom Ford but I haven’t bought much from them these past few years and they are falling off my radar.

ColourPop, because with their fast fashion model, the item is likely to be sold out/DCed by the time there’s a sale. Plus when a palette is only $12, a 20% sale doesn’t save me that much, lol.

Any of my HG skincare products, as in: The Ordinary, Inky List or Hada Labo. Also, if I see that it’s time to get one of my HG eye liners or mascaras, I will not hesitate to buy them without a sale, because eye care is nothing to play around with!

I agree with you Christine – I haven’t waited for a sale to purchase a ND product, in my case The Glam palette, nor did I wait for a sale to purchase the ABH Sultry palette either.
Every now and again Ozsale has Chanel and Dior on sale and if I like the product I will purchase it from there – like I did the Tisse D’Automne palette and Jardin from Dior.

Natasha Denona and Pat McGrath are two brands that I get excited for their releases and don’t even think about waiting for a sale. In hindsight, I really should, I just haven’t found the will to do that yet.

For me its not a brand per se, but the limited addition product that I love love love……. then I will purchase not on sale….. but it has to be fantastic for this to be the case…….. I did purchase the ND Glam palette with in minutes of release and do not regret it!
