What brand are you least likely to wait for a sale to purchase from?

I’m usually excited for new Natasha Denona releases, so I think I’d be snagging those quickly and not worry about a sale, especially as newer products have tended to be excluded when the brand has a sale going on.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! No particular brand, really. I guess Chanel and Dior because they’re not carried locally at Shopper’s Drug Mart (if they were, I’d be in serious trouble) and so when I see something from them that I really love, I’m off to the Bay (Dior – the Bay near me no longer carries Chanel cosmetics, only fragrance) to grab the item(s).

The only brand I’ll just buy outright is Chanel- I don’t think I’ve ever seen them discounted except when Barney’s, I think it was, folded. Everything else pretty much has to be on sale for me to buy it!

Yup – the only place I’ve ever had a discount on Chanel was at the Shoppers Drug Mart in Ottawa that carries Chanel. I happened to be there on a Thursday, so 20% off. And I paid most of the rest with points so it was a real bargain but, like you, I love Chanel and just buy it when I see something I can’t resist.

Typically Pat McGrath for new releases but if it’s something that I want for a restock, I will just wait for a sale.

It used to be Tom Ford but I haven’t bought much from them these past few years and they are falling off my radar.

I agree with you Christine – I haven’t waited for a sale to purchase a ND product, in my case The Glam palette, nor did I wait for a sale to purchase the ABH Sultry palette either.
Every now and again Ozsale has Chanel and Dior on sale and if I like the product I will purchase it from there – like I did the Tisse D’Automne palette and Jardin from Dior.

Natasha Denona and Pat McGrath are two brands that I get excited for their releases and don’t even think about waiting for a sale. In hindsight, I really should, I just haven’t found the will to do that yet.

For me its not a brand per se, but the limited addition product that I love love love……. then I will purchase not on sale….. but it has to be fantastic for this to be the case…….. I did purchase the ND Glam palette with in minutes of release and do not regret it!
