Ive been hearing a lot of buzz about Inglot and Joe Fresh, so they are both on my list of brands to try. Oh and Eyeko, we dont have all three of these brands sold here in Hawaii. Have you tried these Christine?
I’ve reviewed Inglot on the blog, but I haven’t tried Joe Fresh or Eyeko!
joe fresh sucks trust me.
Joe Fresh is ok not great the nail polish is awful to work with. >_<
If you looking to Canadian brand Annabelle (and the parent brand Marcelle) runs circles around Joe Fresh.
MAC, actually – I’ve never tried it, even though it’s such a big part of this blog. I’m just completely lost at where to start!
Me too! Glad to hear I’m not the only MAC virgin. Too many beautiful choices and I’m pretty sure I’ll get addicted which my wallet can’t handle right now.
I am right there with you ladies!!
Me too! Gosh I thought I was the only one! I’m planning on starting my MAC collection very soon though, I’ve been carefully going through reviews and stuff but there is just so much out there that I wouldn’t know where to start. Any recommendations?
I’ve been collecting MAC since 1997- which are your favorite brands currently? Which products? What’s your coloring? What style of makeup do you generally prefer? I’m dramatic, so those heavy pigmented products are generally my specialty and while I have a ton of lipglass I’m one who steers toasted matte lip color
The eyeshadows are the perfect place to start, IMO. The lipglasses, too. 😉
I’m a MAC virgin, too. I’m at college in rural New Hampshire so there’s no store nearby, and with so many colors to choose from I don’t want to order without seeing them first. I did get some MAC brushes last week (182, 116, 239, 217) and was blown away by the quality, so I hope to get a chance to check out the makeup soon.
I’d really like to explore Bite lip products from sephora!
Hard Candy and Cargo, I’ve heard good things! I don’t know where to buy Cargo though..
Ulta have Cargo.
Sears ( if you live in Canada )
Ulta carries Cargo products and they also just revamped their website http://www.cargocosmetics.com. They are offering 20% if you sign up for their newsletter so it would be a good time to try them!
cargo is at ulta, cargocosmetics.com
i’ve recently become more interested in makeup forever. I’ve been wanting to try their mat velvet +
guerlain, chanel, illamasqua and hourglass! i’d love to be able to test out all their products that interest me, but i can’t afford it 🙁
Ditto on Illamasqua. Ever since they came out with the Toxic Nature collection, I’ve been itching to get my hands on it.
I’m also with you on Illamasqua. I went to Sephora today to try to get my hands on some of their products, to at least see in person, but apparently they’re only stocked at “select” ones, which made me sad. I really wanted some of their nail lacquer and to have a look at the loose pigments. 🙁
AGREED @ Illamasqua! My only problem is that none of my local Sephoras seem to carry Illamasqua, YSL, or any other brand that I’ve been craving to try out!
Josie Maran, Hourglass, and Lorac.
I’d love to explore Guerlain. Everything just loos so luxe and fancy! =)
i really want to try more of lush i just tried my first shower jelly and im in love lol
I am so addicted! I have been using their Big shampoo, godmother, demon, and rockstar soaps, and their angels on bare skin and dark angel face wash/scrubs, and the bath bombs, oh heck, just about everything. Do it!
This is a great question!
Chanel
I wish I had the kind of cash to really explore Givenchy.
Givenchy 🙂
Illamasqua
Definitely Guerlain. But a bit outta my price range lol
I’d love to explore more of Illamasqua – I have their liquid metal quad and I love it, but I’d love to branch more into nailpolish/eyeshadows/blushes/ect.
The ones I can’t afford!
Omg! It’s my question. Hehe. 🙂
I would love to explore Shu Uemura, Giorgio Armani & Guerlain – they are expensive so its been a bit hard to get a hold of them since NARS is really my priority right now :P. Saving Fail. XD
Other brands I would love to try are the skincare lines Dermalogica and Peter Thomas Roth. They’ve got ton of AHA/BHA products.
Definitely Edward Bess!!
Urban Decay 🙂 Id love to try something from them, havent really had the chance too.
Hard Candy. I have yet to try anything from them because I never go to Walmart.
Make Up Forever.
The only two make up forever stockists are in london, which is a three hour coach/train/car journey from me. Every time i actually do make it to the shop, its always things i buy in haste. I never have enough time to make a decision. And i cant rely on the pictures and descriptions on the website as i have south asian skin tone and its very pigmented.
We seriously need a Sephora in Cardiff!!
Oh, so many! I simply don’t have the money to…Ellis Faas, MUFE (I only have a concealer quad), Thierry Mugler, old Urban Decay polishes, old M·A·C collections, Inglot (checked them out in Vegas but only bought a face brush), Nfu-Oh, …there are a lot lol.
There are so many brands that aren’t available in Canada or not readily available that I would really like to try – Jemma Kidd, SLEEK (very inexpensive and good quality), SugarPill and Hourglass (I know you are a fan of Hourglass, Christine), those Armani eye shadows that were recently reviewed here, and I’d love to be going to Britain so I could get my hands on the Louise Young eyeshadow palette. It’s probably a good thing all these brands are easily accessible…otherwise, I would have to think about putting a mortgage on my house!
Fellow Canadian here.
Hourglass is available at Sephora.
Giorgio Armani is available at Holt Renfrew Department store (they’re all in the big cities).
Illamasqua!
I will put an order online soon. Everything seems so theatrical and I love it!
so much! Fyrinnae, Tarte, Too Faced, The Balm, Kryolan, Stargazer, MAD Minerals, Meow Cosmetics…
MUFE. LOVE THE MATTE LIPSTICKS, HD CONCEALER, ETC.NOT READILY AVAILABLE IN THE UK, UNFORTUNATELY!
LM and Bobbi Brown! Cuz I love their foundations. When I have more disposable income I’d like to try out the rest of their line 🙂
Guerlain definitely. But I’m a poor college student so that won’t be happening anytime in the near future…
I recently discovered 100% Pure Cosmetics which is an organic & vegan brand. The lipsticks, tinted moisturizer, and glosses are very nice so far. I ordered their blushes too.
I think Illamasqua. They have amazing products! Their color palette are incredible! Sooo much colors! The second one on my list is Kryolan like Illa, they have great things also nice brand, but i don’t see too much people talking about…
I’d love to try Bite Beauty’s products. It’s a new brand being sold through Sephora, but I’ve only seen it online, not in stores. They say they have an all-natural ingredient list and food-grade colours. Their stuff looks chic!
But because I’m in Canada, even though our dollar is on par, ordering stuff from Sephora online makes no sense because in order to get free shipping you have to spend something absurd like $135. At least that’s how it was last time I checked. Also, I’m big on seeing something in person before I buy it.
Not only that but you also get a nice 25% mark up (depending on the brand is sowhere between 20% to 30%). How is that even fair????
BECCA I have heard so many good things about this Australian cosmetics brand.
MAC. With the exception of Blot Powder, I’ve never used any of their products!
chantecaille!! So pretty but so hard to find!
Me, too!! My heart melted with the sea turtle eyeshadow quad.
I don’t own a single MAC product … I would like to try some of the items that people rave about over and over.
I’ve always wanted to try NARS and Makeup Forever
I just bought some of GOSH artliners, the quality is superb. would like to try more stuff from them, any recommendations?
MAC! I only have a concealer, 217 brush and brush cleanser from then and I’d love to try eyeshadow and blush from them. And Hue lipstick, I’ve wanted it forever. I’d also like to try Hard Candy but I don’t have a Walmart near me.
Edward Bess
I would really like to try out more of Barry M (UK) and Lakme (India). International cosmetics intrigue me. I own the Lakme Eye Kajal and some Barry M dazzle dusts, but I am curious about the other products from those lines. The Lakme eyeshadow quads are available on Amazon, but with shipping it is kind of expensive, because of course it has to be shipped from India. GOSH is another brand I want to try.
Japanese makeup products. I already have a couple of items from Majolica Majorca, but would love to try some Lavshuca and Kate! I wish Sephora would have a pop-up shop of Japanese items…that would be fantastic 🙂
Illamasqua!
Brands that are readily available in the US like Barry m or illamasqua. Hard to find brands like occ or inglot and ridiculously expensive brands like guerlain!
Hourglass, MUFE, Inglot, LUSH, The Body Shop, Shu Uemura, Becca, Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier…
Makeup forever! (:
another Bite
Armani! Impossible to find in Salonica Greece.
Silly question perhaps but which brands are readily available near you?
I’ve never tried products from NARS or Make up forever. I have vouchers I can use for some NARS soon, just have to choose a favourite. I’m looking into their blushers and I’m considering Albatross, Mata Hari, Exhibit A and/or Taos.
Right now most definitely INGLOT. Ive seen pictures of Inglot makeup products on a few other blogs but i honestly dont know where to start! like is it the same as MAC? should i stick to MAC? ohhh the choices! hehe
Inglot, illamasqua, Butter London and rediscovering Estee Lauder with Tom Pechaux at the helm.
NARS! I just bought Angelika and I think I have gone down a dangerous road…
i want to try the dinair airbrush system and inglot.
Inglot, Urban Decay, Stila and Smashbox – in that order. I hear all the talk about them on mua and it drives me crazy that I can’t explore them because they are not available in here in Germany.
Inglot, illamasqua, SugarPill and OCC. I wish there was a store in St Louis that sold there products but since not I guess I will order online.
I would like to try Joe Fresh (their gel blushes, concealer, foundation and eyeliners) and I would like to get into NARS. it’s just that it’s so expensive!!!
Wow there are so many I want to try or try more of, I’ve tried a decent amount of MAC but there still is more I want to give a try and same for MAKE UP FOR EVER, and then also Laura Mercier, Illamasqua, Bobbi Brown and Chanel I haven’t but really want to.

Korres and more Tarte. Suqqu brushes.
Inglot & OCC! Gah!
Anna Sui- talk about gorgeous packaging! Have you reviewed any here?
More high-end brands such as Le Metier de Beaute or Cle de Peau…sadly I’d have to buy sight unseen. Same goes for Burberry, they all look/seem to lovely and the quality and packaging seems to be so lovely! Wish my wallet could handle it! Lol.
Make Up For Ever – I want to try all of the bright matte shadows they have.
Inglot – Heard nothing but great things 🙂
MUFE!! I have a few products but there are so many things I want to try from them. Also, Inglot, Illamasqua, and Hard Candy. And maybe some NARS, while I’m at it 🙂
Illamasqua, Hourglass, Korres, Amazonian and Urban Decay. Yet to have our first Sephora in Malaysia. Next month’s the opening yay!
Grace, Sephora gone have her big opening just in a few days! in 3 days to be more precisily, at Star Hill Gallery near the Pavilion Shopping. 28/04 at 10:30am ~praying for best brands!
I would love to try inglot but I want the full in store experience of swatching my heart out. Its a little overwhelming online. I would love to get my manicured hands on some illamasqua too. I have to swatch to buy or see a color online so many times on various tones in various lighting to buy lol.
High end: Inglot , Sugarpill, Nars( id like to try more of their shadows – the one I have sucks) , Dior , Chanel, Guerlain , Givenchy , Cargo. For the most part stuff I cant afford being unemployed
Lower end- Milani, Iman , Revlon
Definitely Illamasqua.
I am really getting into Asian brands of cosmetics, especially Korean ones (I’m half Korean). I’ve tried a few Lioele and Missha brands but I’d like to branch out to Skinfood, Hera and other Asian brands, too!
Armani and Guerlain
Armani, Bobbi Brown, Chantecaille
I’d love to try Smashbox, I do know that I love some of Hard Candy’s products.
Boscia & Jurlique – seriously – I want basket fulls of each brand. Now would be nice. LOL I sampled Jurlique’s eye cream and I loved it…but at $45 a pop…ouch! Well, it’s cheaper than Botox.
Dear Temptalia, i forgot to put on my post another brand, who i never saw a post with some tutorial or review of it…. NAPOLEON PERDIS!
Regards,
Lucy
NARS Illamasqua or MUFE
All the Japanese brands that are only available in Asia or sold in Asia……Jill Stuart, Paul and Joe etc. Also, Santa Maria Norvella from Italy- OMG, their face and skin products are pure luxury…only available in NYC, LA and in Texas somewhere….If they had it in the SF Bay area, I will go there every week…and buy every item….soaps, cream, perfume…everything. Every product is decadent, natural extracts and not artificial like the department store brands…not cheap, but not expensive like La Mer, La Prairie, Strivectin, Sisily, Guerlain etc. So worth the price.
Clinique Makeup, Illamasqua, YSL, Chanel, Dior, and Paul & Joe 🙂
Origins. Since I tried, loved and bought the famous VitaZing, I am curious and want to try more products of their range. After all they are mainly organic and cruelty free – two bonus points for that! Def worth looking into more closely.
Bobbi Brown!
Guerlain!!!!
I really like to try inglot or jessy’s girl
Le Metier de Beaute!
Illamasqua, Hourglass & Tarte.
I have few products of them, but I am eager to try more because the quality of those products I’ve tried really impress me.
