It was one of the first ones I got! I have no regrets. And it’s perfect for spring/summer!
UD Turn-On and Catfight, MAC Morange, Maria Moretti and their Ultimate Lipstick in Marque. But Marque is a a year-round favorite for me because it has become my best nude lipstick shade so far. Love that one!
Worthy of honorable mention: MAC Lady Danger and Ravishing.

I’ve tried to purchase MAC’s Marque on multiple occasions at counters and stand alone stores and all of the sales assistants have looked at me like I was absolutely insane and that it didn’t exist or said that it was part of a LE collection and that “Patisserie is suuuch a perfect dupe so, quick!, buy this instead.” I guess this is something that I’ll just have to purchase online when I decide to make a larger MAC order.
Only *some* stand alone MAC Stores even carry it. Which is super weird IMO. I bought mine at the only store in Arizona that carries it, the one at the Biltmore Fashion Square.

I had a similar experience in Ontario. My regular MAC store, but a large format one (not a Pro store, interestingly) in the Toronto Eaton Centre had it. So I’m assuming Pro stores would, but also the more flagship ones might be worth a call. Good luck! I really like Marque. 🙂

Paula’s Choice makes a color called Rose Brown that’s really pretty!

Last summer I wore Nyx Macarons in Blue Velvet and Pistachio quite a bit. I’ll probably pull them out again this summer.

Oranges and nudes. I love NARS Barbara (It’s fun to have a perfect nude with your name) and Raquel for the nudes. As for oranges, I’m looking to expand my selection. All I have is Armani lip maestro #300 and OCC stained gloss in Androgyne.
I don’t have any particular “Summer” shades, as I typically wear the shades year-round. However, in hotter months, I tend to favor nudes & pale pinks in lightweight formulas. One of my favorite formulas isNYX Round Lipsticks, with Summer Love, Honey, & Circe on the top of the list. Maybelline is great, too, and I typically reach for Born With It.
I find heavier formulas tend to melt/bleed more easily in Summer, and I find myself constantly checking on my lips; this is exacerbated when using deeper shades, so I just avoid them. I also avoid most glosses.
With all that being said, I just stick with lip balm most days, LOL!
Purple everything. MAC Goddes of the Sea, UD Sheer Rapture, Revlon Sassy Mauve, Too Faced Melted Fig and then Lipstick Queen Hello Sailor. Honorable mentions to MAC Domestic Diva lipgloss and YSL Gloss Volupté in Rose Satine (102) for some pink.
MAC Domestic Diva!!! I forgot that one on my list! I love wearing it over UD Turn On and MAC Diva-ish, or by itself too! Would love to see it become permanent!

I really don’t have 5 favorite. I like orange based reds, corals, and glosses in summer. I recently picked up a few of the Estee lauded Color Envy shine lipstick and I am loving those and my Tom Ford sheer lipsticks and ColourPop Tootsie.

I had to google “Butch.” Oh, my, what a great color. I’m sorry I missed that one.
I treat my tube like precious treasure. I think now would be the perfect time to bring Butch back as more and more people embrace blues and grays on their lips. If they ever re-release it, I’m stocking up! Hope one day you get a way to try it out as it really was a special color and one of those Lip Tars with perfect consistency and coverage.
It’s such a hard-to-find shade, especially done well. I think they need to make it permanent.

The Rouge D’Armani 609 plum is to die for. I’ll bet it looks marvelous on your purply lips. The Blueberry and Oxblood are lovely, too.
Lol! Thank you! It’s not that I don’t have cheaper options, believe me, I have them! Vaseline, Aquaphor, Nivea, Chapsticks, Baby balm, Oils, Baby Lips, Paulas Choice, Neosporin, I can go on! Thing is.. They don’t work! 🙁 I literally drink at least a liter of water a day and you can watch ANY moisturizing balm be applied and them just get sucked right up! Kevyn Aucoin’s is a great one, too! To be honest, The Rouge D’Armani is just reiterating my own lip color, and it’s super emollient, so I’ll dan that on with my super Tatcha half absorbed… In good condition, blueberry and Oxblood just hydrate and leave a wonderful texture, bringing out different hints of color.. The Dior Rouge Brilliance.. Can I say hydration and stays put? I got the lightest color to use as a balm and it’s GORGEOUS! It’s a working option for layering the hydration! I’ve bought everything with ebates, coupon codes, freebies, discounts, so it’s not that bad.. My Armani was a free gift! Full size! I currently have a large stash of MAC from BACK TO MACing, many of which were LE, and I’ll be attempting those, too! First priority is always to keep hydrated, though.. Starting over with that is rough. Pun unintended but there. 😉 I love your choices and how you put them! I wish I could wear them! 🙂 <3 xoxo!!
Wow, if 609 Plum is your “nude” lip color, your lips must be really beautiful. I’m kind of jealous, because mine are nearly colorless, just a very light pink around the edges. The upside is I can wear any color almost and it shows up, and true to shade to boot. The downside is, if I don’t wear any lip color, I look dead.
