What are three cheek products you used frequently years ago but rarely use now?

Oh, it’d definitely be MAC products! I used to contour all the time with Sculpt, blush with Margin or Sunbasque! I still love both of those blushes… but there are other formulas/shades I love a wee bit more ultimately!

I wear peachy pinky blushes every now and then but ultimately I’m over them. I could literally pull in so many pinky peach blush here. Clinique Peach Pop. NARS Orgasm (though I still pull from time to time but not like I used to). NYX Hampton or MAC Springsheen. Just prefer blushes like Tarte Exposed, NARS Madly, Clinique Nude Pop or MAC Cosmic Force to anything real peachy pink or coral

I used to LIVE for Maybelline’s Dream Matte Mousse Blush……but then they discontinued it. I switched to their Dream Bouncy Blush, but the colour never wants to last throughout the day for me. I used to use the Wet ‘n Wild megaglo highlighting stick when i was first learning how to use highlighter but I’ve moved on to powder products for both blush and highlight, mostly!

Until the past couple years, I only used one blush: NARS Orgasm. It’s still my favorite, but I now have a few others that I use for variety. I have been using Orgasm for so long, I can’t remember what blushes I used before it.

I’ve never really been into cheek products, so there have been very few standout products. While I did play around with blush that came in pallettes/sets, I didn’t actually start buying individual products until college, although I started wearing makeup in Middle School (it was the 80s, and wearing makeup at that age was quite common). I preferred a soft contour & highlight, and repurchased Revlon Sandalwood Beige a few times, as well as CoverGirl Mocha & Candlelight. After that, I discovered MUFE contour duos, and also used a Shiseido setting powder several shades deeper, and Lancome Aplum. Now I have more contour & highlight products than I can ever use in my lifetime, so I do try to rotate through them (although I do kind of gravitate towards L’Oreal Glam Bronze & a CoverGirl Super Stunner trio out of convenience).

It’s funny to look back and realize how much has changed; where it used to take effort to bother with cheek products, now it takes thought to figure which I’m going to wear, LOL!

Nyx Pinched, Nars Orgasm and WnW Catwalk striped highlighter thingy! Those, and a bunch of other Nyx cheek products. I didn’t stop using them because they weren’t good, because they were actually pretty darn great for DS/LE! It’s just that once I jumped on the ME/HE train, I began to neglect those older gems. I still have all of them, I just need to remember to bring them into rotation. Well, except for maybe the overly shiney Catwalk!

BareMinerals All-Over Face Color in Rose Radiance. I used it as my go-to everyday blush for years. Mary Kay Signature Cheek Color Blush in Pink Flamingo. (I used to have a friend that sold MK.) Stila Convertible Color in Peony. I won a train case full of their cosmetics when they were first starting out selling on the internet, and that was in it. I loved that it stayed on my oily cheeks, unlike other cream blushes at the time.

I don’t really have a blush that I don’t use anymore but I have several highlighters and contour powders that I never touch, mostly because I finally recognized that they were too dark for my skin. For awhile I would use them anyway and then I was out one day and noticed that I looked like I had a bruise on my cheeks but attributed it to the mirror in a restaurant bathroom. No, it was the highlighter and when it comes to contour, I just can’t seem to find the right shade. I use more e/s for contour than actual contour products.

Nars Orgasm was my main blush for years, purchased not long after it launched and I panned it. Prior to that I had something from Estee Lauder that I can’t remember the name of and it seems it’s discontinued anyway–plus the packaging is completely different from what they use now. Before that it was most likely something from Clinique since we’re now going back quite a few years when I was loyal to that brand.

I have always used the same cheek shade – peachy tones. With my complexion shade and colouring, any other shade of blush just doesn’t work on me. I have tried lots of variations from different brands (the worst was Revlon years ago), but I do like the EA Sweet Peach I am using at the moment because it is so pigmented and lasts all day.

Wet N Wild Pearlescent Pink and Milani Luminoso were my only blushes for YEARS, and then I discovered HE makeup, bought every color under the sun to match every look, and got rid of them. 🙁

Nars Orgasm, I panned it and since then I’ve gone on to ND blush palettes and Hourglass as well. I don’t want to collect too many I’m trying to downsize my stash. But if Pat comes out with blush I will be first in line.

The Body Shop 04 Golden Pink blush, although MUA Karim Sattar suggested it to me, in a launch event in Athens, years ago. It is still in my collection though.

I can only think of these.
Nars Orgasm Blush: I hit pan on a small one and bought a large one to replace and rarely use it now–it’s barely had a dent in it and I’ve had it for years. Oddly I did pull it out and use it the other day and wasn’t happy with it, it seemed patchy.
Nars The Multiple: Orgasm and Napali Coast (for contouring)
