Wet ‘n’ Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio: I Got Good Jeans

Wet ‘n’ Wild I Got Good Jeans Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio ($2.99 for 0.12 oz.) includes a pale, silvery blue with a frost-metallic finish; deep, navy blue with a soft frost finish; and a darkened, yellow gold with a soft metallic finish. The color pay off was really nice on all three shades–very true-to-pan. Each shade was smooth to the touch, too. I had minor fall out with the gold shade and the slightest fading with the navy blue when worn.

my thoughts on the formula: Color Icon Eyeshadows are definitely some of the best eyeshadows you’ll find in the drugstore, and this trio is pretty good overall. The eyeshadows are soft, smooth, and well-pigmented. I noticed a little bit of fall out with the gold shade and minor fading with the blue–both being very slight and more nitpicky than anything else.

That navy blue is gorgeous! I’m not sure about the suggested areas to put the color, though… I feel like having gold all over your lid with blue in the crease and to highlight above it would look a little mis-matched. I guess I’m being a little nit-picky, though, it’s not as if you can’t do whatever you want with the colors!

I agree, the color selection is unusual. But we of course can pair it with other eyeshadows! I am going to buy this and test them to see if the gold and deep blue are actual dupes of Goldmine and Deep Truth.

I agree. I love these trios but I tend to find the browbone color would work better as an inner corner highlight and maybe in the inner part of the eyelid.

Christine can you pretty pretty please review the 8 pan wet n wild eyeshadow palette called “Comfort Zone”? I just got it recently and it’s so lovely I’d love to see your thoughts on it. Sorry if you already did so and I missed it! I’m loving all the wet n wild reviews!!

Hubba hubba. I’ve been seeking a nice Deep Truth alternative for awhile, and this whole trio is only 3 dollars?
I don’t actually like the gold, it seems too one-dimensional next to the richness of the blue.

I have this along with a few more of the Spring Trios and i must say this is my favorite the Gold sold me! It is amazing.

The gold doesn’t really seem to belong – I don’t know if I’d really use it with either the silver or the navy – but the colors are all beautiful.

Please check out cosmeticcouturier channel on You Tube she is reviewing all the Color Icon trio palettes – I got good jeans – she has made a beautiful tutorial on how these colours can look amazing together, go check it out!

I love this! I just bought it today and put it on now and it made my blue eyes super blue. I didn’t put the light blue on my browbone though I felt that was too high for light blue but I did half the crease dark blue and half the light blue with the gold on my eyelid then my normally skin tone highlighter for my brow and it turned out amazing.

I have really began to love this site more with the introduction of the drug store brands into your reviews I have a 15 year old neice who is just coming into makeup so I like to refer her here to read reviews

The Wet n’ Wild palettes make me so happy it’s almost a little bit weird, lol. I picked up Comfort Zone (the pink/green neutral 8-pan) at my Walgreens today, and I really like it. They’re awesome for people who have to travel frequently, too — I know I always get really nervous about putting an expensive Urban Decay palette in my travel case; what if it gets broken or lost? But it’s no problem with these guys, even if the packaging isn’t the sturdiest.

i was grocery shopping at HEB, and i came across the wet n’ wild section, and most of the eyeshadows were sold out! i thought to myself.. the power of temptalia. lol

Very impressed with wet n wild lately! This just gave me an idea for a new look! I think they look like dupes of half baked, maryjane, and goddess Urban Decay eyeshadows. Can’t wait to try this look this weekend.

Wow i’m impressed with W&W’s improvement in quality. i used to buy their stuff in high school and it was such crap. i still wouldn’t buy because i have a huge MAC eyeshadow collection, but these colors are great. however, i feel these palette’s color combos are NOT for beginners as the colors are very contrasting and have to be blended with a good hand so you don’t end up looking like a drag queen.

Angela Avatar

Oh my gawsh, I love that navy! I’m going to have to go buy as many of these as I can. I hope the collection sticks around for a while so
I can have time to get to them!

i really wish you would do reviews on your youtube channel as well. Just because i didn’t know you did swatches and reviews on wet n wild until i went on their website and saw their facebook page.
