Wet ‘n’ Wild Dancing in the Clouds Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio

Wet ‘n’ Wild Dancing in the Clouds Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio

Wet ‘n’ Wild Dancing in the Clouds Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio ($2.99 for 0.17 oz.) contains a gilded gold, violet, and softened copper.  It’s decent, but where it disappoints, it really disappoints.  At this price point, for two good colors, it’s still worth considering, of course.  Sometimes it makes you wonder what happened, though!  I can see this color combination working well together, but I don’t expect most to use it as each shade is labeled.

The gilded gold shade was beautiful to work with; it was soft, buttery, and so very pigmented. It reminded me of Urban Decay Maui Wowie without the fall out. Bare Escentuals Gold Medal also compares favorably. I was disappointed in the violet shade, beause the texture was dry and stiff, which yielded sheer, uneven color payoff. The violet shade is similar to MAC Violet and MAC Beautiful Iris. The final shade of the trio is a softened coppery brown with a frosted finish. It wasn’t as buttery as the gold shade, but it was still nice overlal and had good color payoff with a smooth application. It’s not as metallic as MAC Tan, and it’s not as intense as Urban Decay Baked. It seems rather similar to Wet ‘n’ Wild Comfort Zone, actually!

It’s like UD’s Summer of Love palette without Smog and a lackluster Flash xP This is one of the Dreamweavers trios I wanted but couldn’t get a hold of 🙁 Oh well! I have Summer of Love 😉

At least in mine, it was almost worse wet. It seized up or something. I scraped a little off with my finger, and that helped, but I haven’t been able to work with it too well yet.

So glad I found this because I love the gold shade. I’ve wanted UD’s Maui Wowie but refuse to purchase another glitter-fallout shade from Urban Decay. The copper is great as well, just not as flattering on my skintone. I’m still gonna try and work with it though!

I totally agree about the purple shade, but this palette works really well for me as a total look and it’s a color combo I wouldn’t have thought to put together otherwise. I’m about NC30 for reference.

I do the “eyelid” shade all over my lid and in the outer corner under my eye. Then I take the “browbone” shade and use it on the inner corner, bringing it out under my eye to blend with the coppery shade. Then I line my upper lashes and the outer third under my eye with L’Oreal HiP Violet Volt Eyeliner. Finally, I take a fairly stiff brush (I use that shadow brush that came with the Urban Decay Naked palette) so that I can pick up “crease” color on the tip of my brush, I brush it over the liner and smudge it a bit and it looks great. A good bronzey look that works for non-summer seasons and is a bit dramatic but still wearable for day.

“It reminded me of Urban Decay Maui Wowie without the fall out” – those words alone are enough to make me buy the trio. I love Mauie Wowie – it’s the most gorgeous colour – but it’s almost unwearable because of the glitter fallout, even with TF Glitter Glue primer.

I have this, too, and the purple shade really sucks. It’s so HARD, and it’s impossible to get any real color off. It’s a bit better with a brush, but you have to go over it like ten times and if that’s not a sign of a fail I don’t know what is, LOL.

The metallics are really pretty, though. I wish it had a paler, less glitzy highlight instead of the purple, or perhaps a different bright shade (teal or blue would be great here!)

I finally found a Rite Aid in my area who puts them out, but they only put out one display which sucks. So only two palettes each are available. WnW LEs are very hard to get in a lot of places from what I’ve been reading on blogs and watching on Youtube. Totally not cool.

I couldn’t agree more! The purple shade looked pretty promising, what a disappointment. I had to swatch, then re-swatch, then swatch again to try to get some pigment on the back of my hand! The other 2 colors, pretty nice.

the purple was workable for me, you just need the right brush, I used it in my crease and had no problem with pigmentation, I used a blending brush and a brush similar to the mac 213
